Moon in Krittika – Taurus
Moon is Exalted at 3 degrees Taurus.
The moon is exalted at 3 degrees Taurus. Most comfortable when they have challenges to overcome. They are comfortable with rigorous testing process which allows for the most competent person to reach the top. They are very goal orientated, and well nourished and if they are meant to lead by fate. The first pada is especially strong at leadership and overcoming any obstacles that come in their path. They are all highly empowered people. Many fighters and military commanders have this position. Obama has both his ascendant and Moon here giving him great powers to command war, a power he used freely despite having also been given the Nobel Peace prize
The classics say Krittika rules over white flowers, Brahmans who maintain and worship the sacred fire daily, those who know the sacred hymns and sacrificial rules, grammarians, miners, barbers, potters, priests and astrologers. They are bright in appearance, honourable, intelligent, liberal, brilliant, animated, talkative, strong, and sagacious; but they can be fickle-minded and will have to learn some lessons the hard way. They will not be able to rectify a wrong course once they’ve started down that road. They will be fond of women and have a strong gluttonous appetite that might cause them to chase after the partners of (wives or husbands) of others. They never lack for food and will have many dwelling places and the status of a Lord. It’s said that when Saturn transits Krittika those who work with fire goldsmiths, blacksmiths, welders, and army commanders come to grief. There will be dreadful unrest and violence among the subjects. When Jupiter and Saturn occupy Krittika together, the capital will be stormed.
Moon in Krittika (Taurus) Pada 2, 3, 4
Goals can be more materialistic, Mose selfish, more about creating value, gathering wealth, eating nice food, and being what we call financially comfortable. They will have many mother, caretaker, nourisher figures in their like …. Bepin Behari say that when the Moon is in Taurus “the individual becomes extremely receptive to others; he wants to remain in whatever situation he is placed. He is always careful about the feelings and reactions of others which accentuates the sensitivity.”
Moon in Krittika (Taurus) Pada 2, Capricorn navamsha: Moon is exalted at 3.° Their quest for championship causes them to become exceptionally organised in following a structure to their day and their actions. They could be trend setters or the ones who set the standard for others to reach. The energy of this pada is a lot like exalted Mars due being that part of agni that follows a structure. The moon obviously loves it here; her waters are warmed by agni, she is lifted up in Capricorn. Like staying in the top floor of a spa resort. This is where the moon feel the most safe and protected. There are seven mothers caring for all her needs.
They will use a structure to uplift people in one form or other. They could be involved in construction, architecture, art, design, coaching or empowerment. Many also go into government sector or even banking to to help lift people up physically, financially, mentally or spiritually. They do well in all kinds of hospitality work and they make good teachers.
Mars is exalted in Capricorn navamsha so these folk can be exceptionally productive. Jupiter is in an enemy sign and debilitated in Capricorn navamsha so he may not give good results for children. Their life philosophy will be very pragmatic as it tends to get put to the test in the real world. They will facilitate the expansion of space for pleasing structures. They can be good at architecture, engineering and design.
Moon in Krittika (Taurus) Pada 3, Aquarius navamsha: They may create their own system that can be copied by others, or perhaps they long to reproduce the work of another. Others will be able to follow their system, plug into their networks, They may use their image or their stage for social cause or political activism. The system may be used for anything science, logistics, technical reproduction, systems of yoga or martial arts. Usually attractive, unique and creative but may feel like they are part of a much greater movement. They are often making an appeal to the system.
Moon in Krittika (Taurus) Pada 4, Pisces navamsha: Spiritual universal truths, dreamy images, abstract art, celebrated images of the subconscious mind. Here we find people trying to make a dream or a universal ideal appealing. Perhaps they are themselves trying to be universally appealing Spirituality may be all about optics, though perhaps they are merely trying to express their mysticism or inner connection to god through form. Good for the foreign artist, international careers. Good sensual imagination as they seek to express universal truths. They can also be reclusive thinkers. Criticism may only serve to propel them upward. Maybe an academic or scholar with big ideas. Mercury is not happy here as he becomes debilitated in Navamsha causing speech problems, dyslexia.
