Moon in Krittika (Aries)
Saturn in Krittika (Aries)

Moon in Krittika – Aries

The moon is exalted at 3 degrees Taurus. Most comfortable when they have challenges to overcome. They are comfortable with rigorous testing process which allows for the most competent person to reach the top. They are very goal orientated, and well nourished and if they are meant to lead by fate.  The first pada is especially strong at leadership and overcoming any obstacles that come in their path. They are all highly empowered people. Many fighters and military commanders have this position. Obama has both his ascendant and Moon here giving him great powers to command war, a power he used freely despite having also been given the Nobel Peace prize

The classics say Krittika rules over white flowers, Brahmans who maintain and worship the sacred fire daily, those who know the sacred hymns and sacrificial rules, grammarians, miners, barbers, potters, priests and astrologers. They are bright in appearance, honourable, intelligent, liberal, brilliant, animated, talkative, strong, and sagacious; but they can be fickle-minded and will have to learn some lessons the hard way. They will not be able to rectify a wrong course once they’ve started down that road.  They will be fond of women and have a strong gluttonous appetite that might cause them to chase after the partners of (wives or husbands) of others. They never lack for food and will have many dwelling places and the status of a Lord. It’s said that when Saturn transits Krittika those who work with fire goldsmiths, blacksmiths, welders, and army commanders come to grief. There will be dreadful unrest and violence among the subjects. When Jupiter and Saturn occupy Krittika together, the capital will be stormed.

Moon in Krittika (Aries) Pada 1, Sagittarius Navamsha:

Pushkara Navamsha 21°. You can tell how much power someone has by how powerful their critics are. These people can face harsh criticism and they can offer an equally devastating rebuttal.

Gives a sharper, penetrating intellect, a broader more humanistic or spiritual goals. They tend to work for all of mankind. We find here the really big Commander and Chiefs; when they speak people listen. Bepin Behari says that the Moon in Aries “will make the psyche of the individual disturbed, always wanting change, never satisfied and never accepting the advice of others. Unless the individual experiences the repercussions himself his liver cannot be moulded on the advice of others coming from the physical level or even his own Atmic mentor at the outer circle (the Sun chart).”

This pada is usually a very fortunate, global elite, celebrated position of righteous, knowledgeable (or idealistic) leaders or commanders. They are often driven by a sense of justice, doing what is right. They are not just competitors, they are winners; very ambitious. They can be found at the top of any competitive field: athletics, business, politics, military, finance, medicine. They can be ruthless and cruel in pursuit of victory and they can face a lot of pressure to perform. They may have masculine traits: high testosterone, hot blood, aggression, selfishness, Self-confidence. Ashwini is the wanderer, Bharani is the sadhu completing penance. Krittika is looking to earn admiration. This pada can be so original that nobody can copy them, however they do seem to have a lot of imitators. This pada is full of fire.
