“Yoga is 99% practice & 1% theory.” — B.K.S. Iyengar
The first pada is Saturn’s debilitated navamsha. They are likely to work in government service, working with the mass in a one size fits all sort of way. Of course this greatly restricts a persons expressions of personal or original intelligence, but it’s great for people we expect to remain impartial like police, judges, care workers; but also office administrators, and more routine public service clerks. There is typically no glamour is this position, just a lot of hard, thankless work. Some might even describe it as somewhat soul crushing. The sacrifices Saturn makes just seems to get eaten up in Ketu’s black hole; sucked up by his vacuum. It might be difficult to see the meaning and magic of life. The wonder is often missing from these people for most of their lives.
They might find themselves with heavy responsibilities for children. This may be their own children, step children, or some kind of social services or government employee responsible for children: social work, criminal justice, group homes, orphan care and this kind of thing. They might be surrounded by childlike wonder but have little opportunity for such past-times themselves.
As a child they might have only had older people, servants and workers to “play” with. We loose this term loosely in this case. “After your chores are done; then you can play.” But the chores never end. In early life they will most certainly feel as though they are denied what they are entitled to. This can be a delay in in getting returns on investment. Or like “poor” Prince Charles, he had to wait almost his whole life before his mother finally died and he was able to claim his birth right as King of England.
The problems begin when a person is young and they are harshly censored for any kind of personal expression. Just follow the masses; this is it, look around you, there is nothing more to life than this. Later on these folks will often continue the same pattern established by their elders: checking the creative childlike wonder of others and expecting everyone to fall in line. Yes, they are party-poopers and they can be harsh cruel disciplinarians; cold and hard strict moralists; usually hypocrites.
We might note that this Saturn assets both Venus’ signs Taurus and Libra. The values old friends, long term agreements, and things that retain their values. They have the ability to hold onto investments that go through a slump and them later retain and increase in value. They might enjoy gambling, but they do not usually take biog risks. They are usually cautious in speculations. From their rigid discipline something quite unique and special might arise.
Saturn conjunct Regulus: Just, friends among clergy, success in Church or law, scholarly, wealth, gain through speculation, companies and friends, high position, proud of home and family, good health, heart trouble at end of life. If angular and especially if rising or culminating, public honour and credit. If Mars be with the Pleiades, violent death in a tumult.
Saturn in Magha does not appear to be very good for the Heart. Jackie Robinson died at age 53 from heart disease which was complicated by diabetes.
B.K.S. Iyengar: His book “the light on yoga is one of the most famous yoga manuals. “Yoga is the light, which, once lit will never dim. The better you practice the brighter the flame.” “The mind is king of the senses, but the breath is king of the mind.” “The hardness of a diamond is part of its usefulness, but the true value is in the light that shines through it.” “Yoga is about the will, working with intelligence and self-reflexive consciousness. It can free un from the inevitability of the wavering mind and outwardly directed senses.”
Saturn in Magha Pada 1, Aries Navamsha:Â Debilitated navamsha for Saturn. They become hard and cruel in the face of joy. On the other hand they tend to enjoy their work too some degree. Some of them might feel like they are responsible to evoke the joy and wonder of this world without being able to actually connect to that source for themselves. Â
Saturn in Magha Pada 2, Taurus Navamsha: This Saturn gives a special knowledge of history and a connection to an ancient lineage. Harsh disciplinarians, they are usually good bankers and savers and are unlikely to waste much money. They will buy or build quality products and expect it to last forever.
Saturn
in Magha Pada 3, Gemini Navamsha: They might be writing of signing documents related to emancipation or freedom for the blacks, the workers, the labourers, slavery.
Saturn in Magha Pada 4, Cancer Navamsha: This seems to confer a kind of throat yoga thet comes late in life and the torch gets passed from the elders. By their investments they might come to in charge of vast lands, a regulator of culture. Many of these natives have embraced older gods and very difficult austerities connection them with dark magic, tantra, occultism. They may be “born again later in life.

Commentary: A servant to the wealthy, or at least that how one is generally treated. With heard work they are capable of breaking glass ceilings. They often start out in life having to grow up too soon and may get in to crime, drugs or some other socially unacceptable behaviour that makes them fairly hard early on. But they can easily work their way up to an executive level and they can be excellent administrators; but even then they will find themselves being treated like a servant or a slave. “What? Ruled by Ketu.
Star of Regality or Sovereignty. Power to leave the body
Meaning: Mighty, Magnanimous, Magnificent, the Most Important, the Most Bountiful.
Main Deity: Pitru Devas (ancestor gods)
Symbols: Palanquin, house, the king’s throne, special chair.Â
Secondary Symbols: Red flame, Basilisk
Secondary Deities: Hercules and the Nemean Lion
Rulership: People rich in gold, corn, granaries. They are mountaineers, those who are devoted to their ancestors and parents. They are often traders or heroes; carnivorous beings and women-haters.
Brahma – Creative Force: This nakshatra is ultimately a creative nakshatra and will bring things into the world.Â
Sage Angiras: his name means, he who has “sprung from the coals,” “shines like fire,” or “the radiant one.” He is associated with many beautiful hymns, especially in the Artha Veda and Rig Veda. He was a teacher of yagya (fire worship) and soma practices which he acquired from Bhrigu. He’s closely connected with concepts of oblation and memory. His intense contemplation on Para-Brahma produced great tejas. His followers seek vast open natural spaces for contemplation and seeking knowledge. Hymns and mantras are mostly pleasant but he also has mantras for harming others, which connects him with black magic. Brihaspati and Prana are his most famous children. Dirghatamas was Anghiras’ blind grandson and father of Gautama Maharishi.Â
Rakshasa:: More likely to seek out a life of beauty, harmony and enjoyment Than honour and authority. However in Magha we find beauty in power and authority.Â
Shudra: (known for filial duty) Labour, farmers, artisans, craftsmen. This is the king who is a servant to his people; an actor who is a servant to his audience; it’s the lesson that everyone has to serve somebody. In Magha it could be their ancestors or lineage that theory serves.Â
Artha: The goal of placements here will be to build wealth. Make money and provide safety and security through material abundance while building things that will last, grow and gain in value. Grounded and long term. They seek to restore value. The karakas of the planets will support gain of material wealth to the degree that the planetary significations both naturally and by house ownership support wealth accumulation and appreciation.Â
Krura/Ugra – Fierce/Severe: A provocative placement for starting fights, arguments, litigation, quitting your job, bringing an end to things or taking care of things once and for all. Serving justice or carrying out a crime, killing things, cheating, poisoning, surgery, buying or using guns and other weapons, destroying your enemies or obstacles in a harsh way. It’s good for harvesting, tearing down the old, clearing land for development, activities that once done cannot be undone. It can be great for cutting off toxic relationships, giving up bad habits, starting a tough detox, or going into rehab, completing some act of penance like self-flagellation. Magha, P. Phalguni, P. Ashadha, P. Bhadra are the other fierce Nakshatras. Tuesdays carry this energy which is why they say not to initiate travel on this day.  Â
Tamasic: Activities take part on the gross physical plane: dark, depressed, dull, inert activities that obscure reality and keep us in the dark. Some kind of gross suffering is usually felt here and there’s a lazy sort of laissez-faire sort of laziness of lethargy. The energy here typically pulls a person down as it represents neither change or purity. There is typically some suffering and darkness of mind experienced here. Tamasic has no nutrients and the prana is not moving; it’s stale or dead.Â
Adho Mukha – Downward Facing: Relates with research, containment, underground activity, digging wells or mines, drilling for oil, digging up the garden or other trenching activities. It may also relate with shame, pessimism or low self worth that causes you to keep your eyes cast downward. Bharani, Krittika, Ashlesha, Magha, Purva Phalguni, Vishakha, Mula, Purva Ashadha, and Purva Bhadra. Planets like Mars, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu share this nature.Â
Water: heavy, cold, movable, fluid, moist, liquid, soft & hard, clear. Earth + Water = Cooperation. Water does not cooperate with Air and impedes Fire. Fire does not cooperate with Earth and impedes Water. Air does not cooperate with Water and impedes Earth
Kapha: Water + Earth = Cool, oily, heavy, stable, slow, soft, gross, sticky/cloudy, smooth. Stable, slow, methodical, greedy. Disturbed by sweet (Jupiter), salty (Moon), sour (Venus). . Pacified by pungent (Sun) and astringent (Saturn)
Active: Planets here will actively pursue their interests. Active planets like Mars and Sun will have their activity enhanced. If afflicted here it can make a person very aggressive and angry. More passive planets will struggle in an active field a little bit like. The moon here can make an active mind, but we need active and alert minds to nourish and protect the weak. Saturn will be like putting an old man jogging; he can still do well, but may follow the “slow-and-steady-wins-the-race” mantra
Female: Karaka figures of planets placed here may be females or relate to you with feminine energy.Â
West: Auspiciousness and movements are predicted to head west during dasha periods of planets placed here.Â
Male Rat: (pairs with Purva Phalguni) Sexual entanglement. “I smell a rat.” The copulation cycle of rats can be divided into three parts: 1. The precopulatory phase: the male rat and the receptive female (i.e. being in hormonal or behavioural estrous) will engage in anogenital sniffing. 2. The copulatory phase consists of the female drawing the male’s attention with pre copulatory behaviour: hopping (short jumps with all four legs off of the ground) and darting (short and sudden runaway movements, in which she presents her body to the male). In a reaction to these movements, the male rat will try to mount the female: he straddles the female from behind, and thrusts his hips in an attempt to locate the vagina with his penis. In the event of penile insertion into the vagina, the male rat continues his thrusting with a sudden deeper thrust. He then dismounts the female, visible as a short jump backwards, away from the female, sometimes raising his forepaws in the process. This behaviour is recognised as an intromission. The physical stimulation caused by mounts and intromissions can cause the female to arch her back for easier vaginal entry, a receptive phenomenon known as lordosis. These behaviours tend to proceed in rapid succession, only to be intermittent by self-grooming, rest, and pacing by the female (runaway behaviour). 3. The executive phase
Ejaculation by the male is followed by a period of male inactivity, usually lasting around 5 min. The beginning of a new cycle of sexual behaviour marks the end of the post-ejaculatory interval.
Auditory, olfactory and visual cues play an important role in sexual behaviour. Interestingly, a cooperative function seems to exist for the different modalities in the induction of approach behaviour of a potential mate. {https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0166432817312330
Planing the Transit: Auspicious Activities
Muhurtha – Electional Astrology
This is a day to do whatever you want regardless of how others feel about it. It’s a day for harsh and fierce activities like quitting jobs or cutting off relationships. Destructive acts that show everyone who is the boss, criticising someone else’s work when they need to hear it. It can be a good day for fireworks, explosive devices, fires, killing things, cutting them down or destroying them, It can also be a good day to take a vow, to fast, to keep silent, or conduct harsh detoxes and cleans. Downward looking also makes it a good day to dig into the earth or into oneself.
Special Considerations

Magha Snanam: Good month for holy bath. 48 minute bath in salt water is also recommended this month.Â
Vasant Panchami: Saraswati’s birthday. Very auspicious day for introducing a child to education. Worship of Saraswati on this day removes ignorance, lethargy and laziness.
Ratha Saptami: 7th phase of the moon. This is the day that the sun enters Makara and starts moving towards the northern hemisphere. Treated as a Surya Jayanti. Â
Bhishma also revealed the stotras while laying on his death bed of arrows.Â
Sri Madhwa Navami – Shukla Paksha: Sri Madhwa was the founder of Dvaita philosophy. He disappeared in a heap of flowers which fell on him on this day.Â

Gods & Symbols of Magha
Ancestral Fathers (Pitris): They are more than just our family ancestors; they are the great ancestral spirits, the progenitors of all the gods and humans. They are the great giants upon whose shoulders we stand. The protectors of the universe. Ancestral pride. The protectors of the universe. The prajapatis as a class of being.
Represented as rays of light passing through a prism: the single ray is refracted to appear as the seven colours of the rainbow. This occurs naturally after rain due to the light of the sun passing through the water droplets in the air.Â
Hercules fights the Nemean lion with skin that could only be pierced by his own claws. The lion’s cave had two entrances; Hercules blocked one of them and chased the lion back into his cave until it was cornered. Hercules hit it over the head with his club enough to knock it unconscious and then he strangled it to death. Since part of this labour was to bring back the lion skin as proof of his victory he had to take the time to discover that the lion’s own claws were the only way to pierce the skin. He ended up keeping the skin as his own armour.Â
There is some speculation that the Nemean Lion’s father was Typhon, which is related to Ardra nakshatra, and that Hera may have nourished the lion at birth and gave it the home in this particular cave out of spite for Zeus as the Lion block’s Zeus’ worshippers from reaching his shrine. And it’s believed that it was Hera who gave the lion an honoured place amongst the stars.Â
The Basilisk: This is presumably a rare mythical creature who often appears in the coat of arm of royalty. It’s a lot like a King Cobra whose reputation has been magnified in the imaginations of peasants from a distant land. It’s like a snake that moves upright and scorches everything around it with its deadly venom. It’s mentioned several times in the Bible and is typically referred to as a real creature rather than a mythical one. There seems to be some confusion about its existence and it might very well just be a cobra whose reputation precedes it. Â
Palanquin – Kings Throne – Seat of Power: This is the elevated seat that the king sits upon. Raised above everyone else so that he can be seen and so that everyone knows who the most important person in the room is. King Nimi: He was forced to leave his body by a curse but was allowed to take up residence in the eyes of all living beings which allows him top be a seer, a jyotishi with the power to illuminate the truth. King Jankik: He was Sita’s father. He also represents the spiritual passion and detachment from worldly life that goes with Magha. He passed the kingdom to his son and took sanyas on the arrival of his first grey hair. He advised his son to do the same. Years later he was again reborn into his same lineage to enjoy the wealth that his ancient wisdom had allowed to be passed down.
Antimony: In ancient times this lustrous grey silver metalloid element was crushed into a powder and used for medicines and cosmetics; especially mixed with charcoal to make Kohl. These days it finds use in lead-acid batteries, and mixed with other metals such as lead and tin it has led to advances in soldering, bullets, and bearings. About 60% of it gets used in a mixture for fire retardants. Although this element is perfectly stable at room temperature there are a couple different processes by which it becomes highly incendiary. It typically forms itself in layers that allow for very high density, but the lawyers do not have a strong bond, making it rather brittle. They seem to be uncertain where the name Antimony came from. It may relate with the French word “antimoine,” meaning monk killer. Considering this compound is poisonous (with little toxicity) and historically many monks in France were alchemists we get a sense of where this name might have come from. It may also relate with the Greek word, “antimonos,” meaning “aloneness,” “not found as metal,” “not found unalloyed. Â
Others uses include: stabilizer and catalyst of polyester, to remove microscopic air bubbles from glass for television screens and in semiconductors. It still finds use in medicine and is useful as an emetic or antiprotozoal. Elementary antimony pill cold be ingested, eliminated, and reused by the whole family forever. It may have had the effect of killing worms and parasites in the stomach. They use it on the heads of safety matches and it helps stabilize the friction coefficient in automotive brake-pads.Â
Health
Nose, Lips & Chin
Prone to heart problems, hypertension & stomach ulcers
Nosebleeds that may be related to hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia
Inflammatory illness, meningitis, epilepsy, brain, spine, affecting the nerves.Â
Death by hanging (either suiside, murder, or the foggy place between the two)
Depression (especially post-retirement)Â Â
ChinÂ
Several problems actually show themselves through symptoms that may be experienced in the chin; usually affecting the facial nerves.
The trigeminal nerve is one set of the cranial nerves in the head. It is the nerve responsible for providing sensation to the face. One trigeminal nerve runs to the right side of the head, while the other runs to the left. Each of these nerves has three distinct branches. Trigeminal neuralgia (TN), also known as tic douloureux, is sometimes described as the most excruciating pain known to humanity
Ophthalmic Nerve (V1): The first branch controls sensation in a person’s eye, upper eyelid and forehead.
Maxillary Nerve (V2): The second branch controls sensation in the lower eyelid, cheek, nostril, upper lip and upper gum.
Mandibular Nerve (V3): The third branch controls sensations in the jaw, lower lip, lower gum and some of the muscles used for chewing.
Other diseases that can affect the nerves of the chin: diabetes is a common one, with diabetic sincop (fainting) also relating with Magha. Magha seems to relate more with the more advanced symptoms of diabetes than diabetes itself, but there is none the less some relations. Magha natives also tend to put on weight later in life due to a rich lifestyle and diet with much fat and sugar. Some cancers can affect the nerves of the face as well as multiple sclerosis, syphilis, lyme disease, sjogren syndrome, sarcoidosis, amyloidosis, vasculitis, or sickle cell anemia. Of course, many of these require more research to determine the extent of involvement with Magha, but until that research is done, I’ll leave this as a reminder.Â
Lower Jaw – Mandible: Of course many of the problems people feel in their chin also relate with dental problems or issues relating with the alignment of the lower jaw. The connection of the lower jar directly to the skull and well as the extra protrusion of the chin belong only to mammals and higher primates. Even the great apes do not have a chin.Â
Vision
The Lasik founder has his moon here. Assad, trained as an eye surgeon, has Mercury here.Â
Heart – Cardiovascular Disease
Gabriel Lippmann invented the ECG machine for measuring cardiac output. Denton Cooley was a famous heart surgeon. Heart conditions are common with placements in Magha.Â
Medical Problems of the Heart: Abnormal heart rhythms, or arrhythmias. Aorta disease and Marfan syndrome. Congenital heart disease. Coronary artery disease (narrowing of the arteries). Deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. Heart attack. Heart failure. Heart muscle disease (cardiomyopathy). Heart valve disease. Pericardial disease. Peripheral vascular disease. Rheumatic heart disease. Stroke. Vascular disease (blood vessel disease)
Leaving the body
Trace, hypnotism, astral travel, leaving the body, near death experiences.Â
Diabetic shock: The rather causal link between diabetic neuropathy has already been mentioned, but many diabetics also experience insulin shock and unconsciousness.Â
Knockout punch: The tip of the chin is the target for this; with the force of the punch travelling upwards just a little bit. Your opponent will be seeing stars. Of course other exceptionally hard hits to the head can also knock a person out, but if you hit that sweet spot on the chin you don’t even have to hit them very hard. It’s all physics and biology of course. The perfect strike will “explosively displace the jawbone and push the socket of the jaw into the bundle of nerves running along the sides of the throat from the brain through the neck down the spinal cord. This shock to the nervous system is like an emergency reboot of a computer. Consciousness is not lost, but all coordination is disrupted until the nervous system regains control. These are the type of knockouts, in which the fighter is lying there, still conscious, but can’t move or get up. Or their coordination is all off and they’re completely off balance.” (~Carl Jacobson)Â
We can also consider the leverage applied to the neck, which, by striking the furthest point from the joint allows for the greatest force to be applied to snap the neck backwards. A strong force to the C-3 vertebra can also cause a person to fall unconscious so there may also be some connection between the two. This “power to leave the body” seems to relate to falling unconscious. Also applicable to this is that in acupuncture we are taught that really hard pressure exerted between the chin and the lip can make a person fall unconscious; but perhaps more verifiably speaking hard pressure just where the nose meets the upper lip can revive someone from an unconscious state.Â
There is actually a second part of the body they say we can deliver a knock-out blow: the solar plexus. It doesn’t make you see stars like a good chin or temple shot, but it can have debilitating effects. Another part of the body ruled by the Sun and likely related to Leo in some way. Some extra research needs to be done on this topic because the warmth of prana may come from Magha. Since Swati is three houses away, the wind might merely be the way prana reaches out to the world.Â
Regulus Heart of the Lion: Alpha Leonis (Regulus, the little king), Eta Leonis (Al Jabhah), Zeta Leonis (Adhafera), Mu Leonis (Rasalias), Epsilon Leonis Lambda Lionis (Alterf) & Kappa Lionis.
Regulus is the brightest of six sickle shaped stars marking the forehead of the lion. This ridge itself is called the sickle. One of the four royal watchers: Regulus is the watcher of the north, the archangel Gabriel. The others are …….
Although best seen in the evening in the northern hemisphere’s late winter and spring, Regulus appears at some time of night throughout the year except for about a month: August 22–24, when the Sun is too close.
The last occultation of Regulus by a planet was on July 7, 1959, by Venus. The next will occur on October 1, 2044, and will also be by Venus.
It gives violence, destructiveness, military honor of short duration, with ultimate failure, imprisonment, violent death, success, high and lofty ideals and strength of spirit, and makes its natives magnanimous, grandly liberal, generous, ambitious, fond of power, desirous of command, high-spirited and independent.
According to Ptolemy, it is of the nature of Mars and Jupiter. It gives great pride, grandly liberal, commanding, cosmopolitan views. If rising or culminating, military honour and preferment An Anonymous author from antiquity (379 AD) also said Regulus is like Jupiter and Mars giving high ambition, pride, love of power, grandeur of view, If rising, military honours. If culminating, high ecclesiastical honour, martial preferment, prosperity in business.
Later western authors liken it to only to Mars associating to with violent death, ultimate ruin by folly or pride. If rising, wealth, power, courage, generosity, ingenuity, rise to authority, martial success,. These natives are subject to cuts, wounds, accidents, sores and injuries to the face, pains in the head and fevers. If culminating, martial eminence, success in trade and occupations of a Mars nature. If afflicting Mercury, deafness). Alvidas claimed that Regulus is similar to the Sun in good aspect to Uranus. Others claim Regulus rules two inches below the top of the kidneys.
Regulus is one of the most fortunate stars in the heavens. It portends glory, riches, and power to all who are born under its influence. Proclus (412-485) called Regulus the “Royal Star” and asserted that those born under it have a royal-like nativity. In judicial astrology, however, the dimming of the star presaged evil times. A Ninevite tablet, according to R.A. Allen, states: “If the star of the great lion is gloomy, the heart of the people will not rejoice.”
Regulus marks the beginning of the 8th nakshatra (Hindu lunar mansion), Magha (the bountiful): A severe asterism belonging to the Shudra caste and favorable for acts of disgrace, destruction, deceit, imprisonment, beating, burning and poison when containing the Moon. Those born on the lunar day will be wealthy, fond of hills, merchants, valiant, and women haters. With Moon here at birth, the native will be wealthy, religious, contented, well-served, and fond of life. Rules grain boxes and the lips and upper mouth
In mundane astrology, Leo Constellation is associated with royal events, especially the ascension or death of kings and queens, the election or death of heads of state, assassinations, uprisings and massacres, currency and the stock exchange, the Vatican and European Union. — AstrologyKing.com
Descendant conjunct Regulus: A splendid and illustrious life; glorious, mighty and commanding nature; fame, busy with many activities; bountiful resources; well known or feared in cities and regions. Prosperity around middle age or through marriage or women. — AstrologyKing.com
Uranus in Regulus: Energetic, ambitious, successful, may be unjust or dishonourable, self-aggrandisement, high official position, panders to aristocracy, associated with religion for business purposes, gain through speculation and companies, favourable for marriage, sorrow through death of daughter and disappointment through a son; friends become enemies at end of life, may retire and live in seclusion, violent death through accident or assassination. These persons strive to be leaders and almost make it to the top of their objective. They like to be in government positions in order to control masses of people. Support comes their way on the road to success, but just when they begin to feel the glory of success, someone causes their downfall. Something always happens so that they lose the confidence of their superiors, or the public will lose confidence in the individual. This happens abruptly and with surprise, and of course, affects the ego tremendously. — AstrologyKing.com
Neptune in Regulus: Prominent leader, lawgiver, diplomatic, strong character, control over others, influential friends, few if any enemies, domestic harmony, natural death in old age. —AstrologyKing.com
Pluto in Regulus: Makes activists concerning human rights and suspicion about what big government and corporations are hiding, interested in conspiracy theories. If with a malefic and the Moon with Antares, Praesepe or the Pleiades: blindness or injuries to the eyes. — AstrologyKing.com
Tree of Magha
Banyan tree: Known as Kalpavriksha, the tree that fulfills one’s wishes and provides material wealth. It is the holiest tree in India, considered immortal. It gives longevity to Lord Brahma himself. It’s a large tree with large leaves and spreading branches to offer protective shade and shelter. It is sometimes called Bahupada, the one with several feet, because of the way the roots extend down from the branches to create a new root base. A Shiva lingam is often found at its base and these trees act as a resting place for wandering Sadhus who will stay under the banyan at the edge of town rather than entering the town itself. Shiva also looks to the North which is the direction of death. He is the one who helps us face death without fear. This also connects the Banyan to Lord Yama and one is often found near cremation grounds. Grass does not grow under a Banyan.Â
Since it’s not a tree that allows for renewal or rebirth, it is avoided for purposes of marriage or fertility though the leaves are often used in other rituals. A paste of bark and leaves can be used to stop excessive bleeding. The sap of the tree can be used for piles, pain, and lumbago. Chewing on the ariel root is a good astringent for cleaning the teeth. It’s also used for treatments for leukorrhea, female sterility & diabetes.
Key Themes
The divine rule of kings is represented here. The bureaucratic deep state has little pull here, True power is passed down and the head of state is appointed. Lineage becomes important, and life comes down to who you know. Authority here knows no bounds. They are charged with the task of rising above the mass mentality and discover their own unique creativity. Family pride, loyalty, lineage, respect for tradition and ceremony are all important to them; they honour the giants upon whose shoulders we stand.Â
They are usually alpha personalities with a need for attention and a gift for getting it, while maintaining their dignity. On one hand they have this inner knowing of superiority, while on the other hand they might be filled with self doubt which must be corrected. Their sense of superiority can be founded on any legitimate or illegitimate reason: race, lineage, religion, neighbourhood, school, sports team. In the world of the mind anything can be used to serve a purpose. The various planets placed in Magha will also help lift a person up with whatever powers they have. Of course one must honour those who lift them up or they will be quickly taken down again. They do tend to obtain positions of elevated importance from which they can delegate authority. They like to have others serving under them. This often leads them to work in large corporations or government departments where they can relate to the world as one to the masses. They can be happy in any business as long as they are in a position of importance. They like to be part of organizations that have a long history, are well established and follow some kind of tradition. They seek to bring prestige into their life and their work. But without any boundaries to their ambition they will never be satisfied. They typically work in a variety of odd jobs; though they do like to have an important sounding title. Titles tend to mean a lot to them; though they may not feel any obligation to live up to titles or social expectations that often go They can be suckers for a bit of flattery, and Magha men are easily seduced by women.Â
They are likely to have a spiritual outlook of life and will take on paternal roles regardless of their gender. They make good priests, professors, lawyers, judges. They like roles that offer tenure or other protections against being expelled. They may belong to well established churches, communities, or private organizations that bring prestige. They like to work with fire and light and may be involved
They are empowered to leave the body at will. This could refer to astral travel trance, fainting or losing consciousness, or even leaving the flesh body at death. It should be noted that standing up too quickly can sometimes lead to light-headedness or even cause someone to pass out. Magha can experience similar problems when getting elevated too quickly in their life. If they are not prepared for it or do not honour the ones who raised them to their new found status then they will fall again. The permissiveness of this nakshatra relates it to Jupiter in the subtitles way; Jupiter also rules over the prajapatis. The root of the word magha relates with “might” and the very “to be able”. This nakshatra gives people the ability to do anything no matter how outlandish.Â

Das – Behari General Indications:”You will be very enterprising. You will respect elders and be God fearing. You enjoy your life. You will be expert in various sciences and soft spoken. You enjoy leading a quiet life. You will receive honour and recognition from learned persons. You will possess good knowledge about various arts. You will devote your time for the expansion of your culture and be actively involved in various cultural activities. Your dealings with others will be thoughtful, you try to avoid hurting others feelings, and immediately rectify the situation if you do. You do not care for any person who makes hindrance or causes trouble to others. As a result you may have several hidden enemies in your life. You have a short temper when it comes to improprieties, be cautious that this does not affect your success. You will be generous and perform many philanthropic activities without concern for recognition. These activities may make you famous. You will have great wealth and many people working under you. In the professional field you cannot attain much success in the material field as you are not business minded, mainly due to your straight-forwardness. However, you will be a fitting example of sincerity and hard work. This inherent quality of sincerity and hard work does sometimes pay you some lift, but not to the extent when we see the balance. You are bound to change your field of earning frequently. Once you make a decision, you stick to that decision. Your dealings with superiors and subordinates are very cordial and most technical. Hence you are able to be a link between your bosses and the subordinates. This placement indicates you will enjoy a happy and harmonious married life with good children. You will be generous and helpful to your siblings. You may suffer from difficulty with your vision.”
AstrologyKing.com Ascendant in Regulus: “Military honour and preferment. Great honour and wealth, but violence and trouble, sickness, fevers, acute disease, benefits seldom last, favour of the great, victory over enemies and scandal. On the Ascendant, it will give a courageous and frank character, especially if in conjunction with the Sun, Moon, Jupiter or Mercury. A splendid and illustrious life; glorious, mighty and commanding nature; fame, busy with many activities, bountiful resources, well known or feared in cities and regions. Prosperity from youth and in own city. Illustrious generals, who subjugate regions and cities and peoples, govern, are inclined to act, are submissive, speak frankly, have a taste for fighting, and carry out their purposes. They are effective, virile, victorious, harm their enemies, are opulent and perhaps very rich, big-minded and ambitious, and they generally do not die a happy death; moreover, lovers of hunting, connoisseurs and owners of horses and quadrupeds.”
Shil-Ponde Male with Magha Ascendant:“A proud but not an arrogant nature poised, self-contained and dignified. This man will command respect because of his quiet dignity of manner and bearing. His position in his community will be secure and his financial standing sound. His weakness, however, is his susceptibility to the blandishments of the opposite sex. He must avoid entanglements which might lead to a loss of dignity, since, to this man, such a loss would be a tragedy.”
Shil-Ponde Female with Magha Ascendant:“A frank and courageous nature and a charming and interesting character. Unfortunately these attributes seem to engender envy on the part of those less fortunately bequeathed. As a result, this person is subject to barbs of gossip and all through her life has many secret enemies who are jealous of her in one way or another. This in spite of the fact that hers is essentially an honourable and virtuous character not given to either thought or action which should bring slander or scandal. She is particularly loyal to her family and will do anything to make them happy. As a result of this, her actions are often misconstrued and used against her by her enemies.”
B.V. Raman Leo Rising: “Ambitious, avaricious, warm-hearted, with a big liking for art, literature and music. They are cheerful and unimpulsive. Magnetic in appearance with broad shoulders, bilious constitution, average height, oval faced, thoughtful countenance and upper body is generally better formed than the rest. They can adapt themselves to any condition in life. They have faith. They are sincere in affection. They stick to orthodox principles in religion but are perfectly tolerant. Generally good tempered and sensitive. They are lovers of music and literature and generally possess a certain amount of philosophical knowledge. They are voracious readers. In life they do not succeed as they would like and often struggle throughout life and their ambition remains unfulfilled. They lack a natural policy and hence get into difficulties. They are forgiving and do not hold a grudge for long. They are likely to suffer from nervous troubles and are generally misunderstood by their boss and superiors.”
Paramahansa Yogananda, with Moon in Magha, was one of the great royal father figures who was much like a pope to millions of people around the world. He was well known to go into trances while he practiced asana and meditation. He founded Kriya Yoga, a style of yoga based on purification of the body, mind and senses. He took Maha Samadhi in the Rahu Ketu period. Rahu was in Ashwini, which is ruled by his 3rd house Ketu, allowing him to fully and wilfully detach from his fresh body. His detachment from the self is given more power with the 12th lord Moon in ascendant. Rahu’s aspect on the ascendant allowed him to believe he was a chosen one on the spiritual path. Rahu also strengthened his connection with the paternal lineage, spirituality, philosophy, and the global world. His ascendant lord Sun in 5th house Sagittarius both increased the paternal loving glow that shines from him and the intelligence.
Jean Claude Van Damme starred in the movie Lion Heart. He has had an interesting rise and fall. As soon as he got too cocky and his ego became too big then everyone immediately lost interest in him. This is one of the dangers of Magha nakshatra: you can do anything you want and your spirit guides will lift you up, but if you fail to honour those who lifted you then you will fall.

Sun in MaghaÂ
“We have educated ourselves into a world from which wonder, and the fear and dread and splendor and freedom of wonder have been banished. Of course wonder is costly. You couldn’t incorporate it into a modern state, because it is the antithesis of the anxiously worshiped security which is what a modern state is asked to give. Wonder is marvellous but it is also cruel, cruel, cruel. It is undemocratic, discriminatory and pitiless.”― Robertson Davies
The Sun displays his magnificence for all to see. They are brilliant, dignified and original thinkers. But the Sun is hot and cruel so these traits will also come out when he is strong. This will not be the ball of fire we get when he is in Ashwini, but their confidence will be high and they will have no problem speaking their mind, sharing their ideas, putting themselves forward, taking speculative risks or taking the spot-light. In short, they will be little kings, bright red flames that get all the attention. They like their independence, and despite being a Ketu nakshatra, they (especially men) like to have a fairly traditional relationship with someone who will serve them to some degree. If their partner is not willing to do that there could be problems. In one way or another everyone they come in contact with will have to serve them in some way. They are ambitious and looking to win; and ultimately everybody wants to back the winner. Of course whether or not they actually win depends on other alignments in the chart as well as the transits and the oppositions chart. And there usually is some kind of opposition. They typically see life as between the one, themselves, and the masses. Some people will, however, take this opportunity to serve the masses in some way (Magha is a Shudra nakshatra), but, with poor aspects or placement they might feel be confused in thinking that others are there to serve the little royal one; since they may be a king or a queen. They will find their one-on-one time through their hobbies which they typically like to do with a partner. One of their special leadership traits is an ability to come to agreement on what should be done; where efforts should be directed. This Sun does very well with an aspect from Jupiter or the full Moon and is well-placed in the chart. Mars’ influence on the Sun here can bring too much heat and heart problems.
This position also loosens their physical connection with the father figure. The father might be there, but be detached in some way. Powerfully confident and proud.
Gabriel Lippmann won the Nobel prize in physics for his method of reproducing colours photographically by using an “interference.” Lippmann also had Venus and Mercury in Uttara Phalguni which are related to interference. The invented the Lippmann electrometer, a very sensitive machine for measuring the tinies traces of electricity. This was soon converted into an ECG machine for measuring cardiac rhythm. He also predicted the piezoelectric effect; the idea that an electrical charge can be created from mechanical stress. It’s believed that electricity could one day be generated by people walking on the floor of a train station or dancing on a dance floor. This is also used in the “pick-up” of an electric guitar and many medical imaging devices also use this. It’s often used as a kind of jump start. He also started something he called integral photography where he set up different lenses so that when the person looked at the picture it would change due to the viewing angle.
Bepin Behari Sun in Leo: “Will make the individual extremely self-centred: the message is that “you are the god.” In case the individual could rightly, in all his humility, which can happen if he is spiritually evolved, comprehend the message, it will lead him to all glory. Otherwise, the strain of the impulse may be unbearable, often leading to nervous breakdown.”
Astrology King Sun in Regulus: “Power, authority, great influence over friends, honor and riches, but violence, trouble and ultimate disgrace and ruin, sickness, fevers, benefits seldom last.”
Astrology King Sun conjunct Mars conjunct Regulus (0°30′ orb): “This does create quite a problem. These natives are like pompous kings strutting around and showing their importance. They are always in a position of authority, and they demand total recognition for their achievements and abilities. They like to catch others off guard and show off their superiority. They do not know what the word “humble” means. Their drive and needs are extreme and overpowering. They strive to go to the very top in the military. These individuals are simply out of touch with everything except for the acknowledgment of their authority. The Sun and Mars in conjunction here does affect the health. These persons have too much energy pumping through the heart, and later on in life when they no longer have the vitality to feed this, the heart loses some of its elasticity and strength at which time a critical point is reached. Only a few make it past sixty years of age. They could increase their lifespan if they learn to be humble, but they would have to start early in life.”Â

The classics say that One born under Magha will be stout-bodied with prominent cheeks and a protruding abdomen. He will be irascible, wealthy, proud, an orator, wise, modest, very patient in disposition, industrious, will honour gods and preceptors, respect the ancestors and be radiant. He will be lustful, indulgent to his wife, enjoy luxuries and have many people to serve him. (The classics: Hora Sara, Jataka Parijata, Sage Narada, Brihat Samhita, Varahamihira.)
They are the centre of attention merely because that is what god and/or guru put them here to do. With such a mandate they will say or do what they want, when they want, and without worrying about what others will think. They always find a way to stand out, with their style, their mannerisms, what they do, what they say. These are the really unique Leo’s; people will not be as quick to follow their style as the will to follow the style of the Purva Phalgunis. And because they are so unique, they are often misunderstood and solitary. The “Rahu other” that guides them is typically a father figure. It may be their own father, or it may be a guru or mentor or spirit being (someone who is not around, but is nonetheless a guiding figure).
Magha folk have a way of getting into people’s imagination. They kindle that fire that allows people to leave their body and experience the world as spirit, as magic, and miracle. But this is more than imagination at work for Leo challenges the imagination; they often have an unintended side effect of making people think. They are out of the box thinkers and their odd ways make others think as well.
They are emotionally detached from the effects their actions have on others. This gives them a lot of freedom to do or say anything, which can be at least interesting, but it can also cause problems. In relationships they might make life altering decisions without talking to their partner, and they might not even really care what their partner thinks. Usually they cut and run when they are no longer getting all the attention. They are also prone to making enemies. Usually it’s merely jealousy, but it can come to fatal consequences as was the case of Rossano and the mafia.
Magha’s usually do a lot of different jobs over their lifetime. I would say they just float around, but it might be more like popping up here and there. Always in the centre of things. They might walk in and be the new boss tomorrow, while all the loyal, hard working employees shake their head in disbelief. Their knowledge and studies can also be broad and go into unexpected topics. Fire, light, refraction, illusion and magic.
They tend to feel like there is a divine plan whether good or bad is flowing from their actions; they remain ever proud and arrogant; poised and dignified. Loss of dignity and pride is probably the worst thing that can happen to them, but they also don’t like to be ignored. Drinking can be especially problematic of Magha’s partly because the opportunity to lose our dignity goes up when we drink, but also because Magha people are already prone to leaving their body so blacking out may be more common for them. Besides, they can already be prone to the all or nothing philosophy that is often inspired by drink. Many Magha folks are involved with gambling and casinos and I suspect they like daredevils who risk everything. And they don’t even mind so much if they lose, after all, it’s God’s plan either way.
At some point in their life they will feel the call to do the honourable thing. They may go back and seek out their lineage if it was lost to them. They do best on a clean and sober spiritual path that allows them to heed the call. Their vision is without limits, anything is possible. This can also make them seem a little wandery and detached. They certainly won’t be doing what everyone else is doing. They are happy to do their own thing. And since others will usually not understand what it is that makes these Magha folks tick, they will invent their own stories about them. Maghas can be a little bit of a blank screen for others to project their ideas upon. They problem is that they are usually blamed for those projections later. This can be another hurdle in durable romantic relationships. Very often a Magha native will choose celibacy over the drama of relationships.
Bepin Behari Moon in Leo:“will pine for the understanding and premonitions, urges and messages and when received, it will endeavour to mould itself accordingly: at this level, the psyche under the influence of the Moon will like to be influenced by high forces (the Sun), than by the attractions and influences of the lower place of existence (the ascendant).”
Astrology King Moon in Regulus: “Occult interests, powerful friends, danger from enemies and false friends, gain by speculation, public prominence, great power, honour, wealth, benefits seldom last, violence, trouble and sickness. It makes women high-spirited and independent. If at the same time, the Sun is with the Dragon’s Head In Gemini, or Jupiter is in the 10th house in trine to Mars and the Sun is with the Dragon’s Head, great preferment even from the lowest sphere to high rank. A splendid and illustrious life; great, distinguished and opulent nature.”
Pada
Moon in Magha Pada 1, Aries Navamsha:Â As a result of even bad publicity their ego gets bigger. They will likely get some mysterious favour from authority and be treated like the good son and their behaviours may be excused as boys being boys. They are usually cruel, selfish, warlike people, good at deception but often ill with fever or some other attack of heat.
Moon in Magha Pada 2, Taurus Navamsha:Â The Moon gets extra power here since he becomes exalted in the navamsha. They are known to be long lived and very wealthy. They are typically quite strong, like a bull and have many children, possibly illegitimate, due to their strong fertility, They can also be especially fixed and stubborn in doing what they want. They might be some kind of family head or kubra figure taking care of the family wealth.
Moon in Magha Pada 3, Gemini Navamsha: They are chatty and flirty and can become the darlings of the media. They make friends quickly, they are usually very intelligent and have good communication. Gemini will influence their pride so they will like to maintain dignity with the media. Trump loved the media attention since it allowed him to get his message out. Now that he is being ignored by them his motivation seems to be waning. They are typically truthful though they might come to believe the stories about themselves. They often become experts in their field meeting with small groups of inventors or others with speculative potential. These small groups are a way for them to “hold court.”
Moon in Magha Pada 4, Cancer Navamsha: They become parental in their rule. Expressing the hard masculine exterior while remaining ultimately carrying and sensitive at heart. They usually support the local and family gods, Brahmins, and mystics. They are ultimately sheltering and protective and will likely be land owners or homeowners with many “children” who are not their own.

Mars in MaghaÂ
Sun – Ketu : Laser Eye Surgery
They have a lot of fire or spark in their eyes. They may be the type to go all in, all or nothing. They tend to have a lot of ambition. They may have pride in coming from a lineage of warriors. Many of them serve in the military at some point of their lives. They likely know how to handle fire, weapons and guns, but also light, diffusers, reflectors, refractors. They are able to make a great spectacle with fire. Guy Fox is certainly a fine example of this as bonfires and fireworks are still used to celebrate his failed insurrection. Their ancestors come to them in the form of competitors, warriors, men, engineers, and people working with fire and steel. Your job is to honour them. Women with this placement will be well protected by the men in their life. Leaders with Mars in Magha will be beloved by their military if they honour them. And one must treat their competitors with respect and honour; they only come to give you the stage and lift you up. And it often doesn’t matter if you win or lose; the honour and dignity you offer to the competition is the test.
Aggressive and penetrating rays of light attested to by the founder of Lasik, Lucy London also has a Master in Lighting Design and she’s also a water colour painter. Guy Fawkes had planned to blow up parliament and is celebrated annually with huge bonfires in the street and fireworks. We can only imagine the kinds of light show exhibited by the kings and leaders of massive field armies. Turner’s paintings are also filled with light as well as rays of light.
There seems to be an overall celebration of masculinity with this placement: men, military, engineering, strength, power, heroic action. They can be active in the spotlight, on stage, in celebrity culture. Good theatre actors; theatrical. Always seeking new conquest, showing off. They act like the king. If Sun is well placed they could be on par with kings. The can have a very sharp, critical, firm mind; rashness can be a curse or a blessing for these folks. They are good leaders, intense and can gain through speculation or insurance. Very enthusiastic and adventurous. They are very active with fresh new celebrated things like new music or movies. They are most active in the forest or mountain regions. Mars in Magha might even have an appreciation for camouflage, a kind of illusion in the forest. Of course at other times they might dawn hunter orange to ensure that they are fully visible in the forest. Family life often suffers due to their career. Loss of first spouse is common. This can be a difficult person for others to deal with as there is a sense of entitlement to their sense of power and their activities. They can be very dominating people. They are not likely to compromise in their action.
We might see in a woman’s chart that it’s actually the men in her life (brothers, boyfriends), or perhaps these are the types of competitors one faces who have the dominating and entitled sense of drive and ambition. Ether way, it takes a powerful woman to deal with powerful men, and a powerful person to deal with full power competition.
Mars in Regulus: Honour, fame, strong character, public prominence, high military command. 0°30′ orb: This is one who takes command and gives orders. These persons work well in the military and can achieve high goals and honours here. The commanding personality extends even to their love life, since everyone is merely a stepping stone for their pleasures and ego.
Gambling: Rand Paul supports deregulation in casinos and gambling, Donald Trump is owner of a Casino empire. Johnny Depp played in Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas. Kevin Spacey?? also starred in Casino Jack. Ben Affleck has struggled with gambling addiction most of his life.
Tea Field once described herself as being a descendant of tribal viking warrior princesses. She was a big girl with rippling muscles, wide shoulders and big hands. She’s bright she shines everywhere, goes. She has Venus in her ascendant so she’s also stylish and beautiful. Really unique, one of a kind person. A master of Rolfing massage who travels the world taking care of her clients. Rolfing, I should point out, is a fairly physically painful and psychologically intense deep tissue massage. She is also trained in acupuncture.
Henry Ford was able to harness the spark to create the combustion engine. Ionannis Pallikaris founded LASIK laser eye surgery.

Mars in Magha Pada 2, Taurus Navamsha: Theatrical way of speaking,
Mars in Magha Pada 3, Gemini Navamsha: Very theatrical way of communication.
Mars in Magha Pada 4, Cancer Navamsha: Debilitated navamsha for Mars. They might ultimately end up with Cushing’s, low testosterone, or some other debility related to “men’s issues.” Violence, aggression, passive aggression might get the best of them. Possibly alcohol related defensiveness. A kind of “little man’s syndrome” might develop causing them to use happiness and celebration as a kind of emotional weapon. William Vollman practically celebrates violence in has masterful book, “Rising Up & Rising Down: Thoughts on violence, death and urgent means.” We could say that the women with this placement might have to put up with such passive aggressive or emotionally manipulative men in their lives. If Jupiter in well-placed their marriage experience is likely to be better than their dating experience. Several of the people with this placement were rights activists working to give more rights to minorities, disabled people, or women that that average person does not have. Their sense of care and protection becomes weaponised.

Mercury in Magha
J.K. Rowling
J.K. Rowling wrote about magic in Harry Potter. Tom Robbins also wrote about myth and magic; assorted odd-ball characters. Some people suggest that Neil Armstrong wrote a similar myth about going to the moon. Curiously, after 50 years of technological advancement we have not been able to repeat this feat. D.H. Lawrence even spent some time on the forbidden list for his steamy romances. Madonna & Michael Jackson shared a similar kind of unique stardom in the age of bright lights and MTV. They both created whole fairy tale worlds with themselves at the centre. They might have gestures of nobility.
Mercury in Regulus: Honourable, just, popular, generosity abused by opponents, fame, gain through high position. — AstrologyKing.com
“I’m Peter Pan. He represents youth, childhood, never growing up, magic, flying. ” “Magic is easy if you put your heart into it.” “The magic, the wonder, the mystery and the innocence of a child’s heart are the seeds of creativity that will heal the world.” “Being on stage is magic. there’s nothing like it. You feel the energy of everyone who’s out there. You feel it all over your body. When the lights hit you, it’s all over. I swear it is. “— Michael Jackson

Jupiter in MaghaÂ
As long as they show their respect to their guru their power will expand, their productivity will increase. The list is small but there are a handful of professors and a few others with strong ties to a guru figure. This Jupiter allows these people great eccentricity in their beliefs. They are quite capable of gaining professorship or priestly-type duties regardless of experience or suitability for the role. Their beliefs are likely to seem strange to others, maybe not so strange in and of themselves, but one might be surprised that you hold them. Somehow they do not match their personality. Though on the other hand they are likely to be natural at many things. They are given wisdom and advice by their ancestors. Since Magha is Ketu owned, the space between this world and the next becomes thin and there might be frequent crossings between the ancient past and the present. They are capable of gaining wisdom merely by honouring their ancestors. In India I think about all of these simple altars in homes and businesses with pictures of their fathers. Those people with the Moon or Jupiter in Magha will be raised to the high chair by ancestral blessing. Jupiter is the one who gives permission. This is partly why he rules the husband in a wife’s chart. Women with this placement are certainly recommended to honour their husbands at all times; as well as their children. Both genders with this placement should honour children generally. They must also honour those who give permission generally. This means no trespassing, not overstepping your authority, asking parents permission for marriage. The few people I know personally with this position give great honour to their gurus whether they are dead or alive. One man’s very old guru recently died in his arms. Both are practically penniless living a simple life dedicated to music, Shiva and a bit of wine. Jupiter in Ketu has no boundaries to righteousness, there’s no rule book or explicit guide to how the righteous are supposed to act. Jupiter in Magha is a nice placement for spirituality, higher forms of faith, and dedication to guru. From this path they can gain a lot of respect.
They really like pagents, celebrations and ceremonies. Expansive intelligence, creativity, productivity. Many stage performances, they have the moral authority to preach, to teach ethics or talk about morality. Entitled to preach, to hold peoples attention. They are charming, compassionate, broad minded guru or professor type people. They can have a very large commanding personalities, a little bit self-righteous.
Jupiter conjunct Regulus: Fame, high preferment, especially of a military nature, success in the Church. If the [chart] as a whole points to this possibility, Jupiter conjunct Regulus is one of the best configurations for success. People like this can reach high positions, positions of trust, preferment and favours; fortunes. Riches and power could fall to these natives easily.

Venus in MaghaÂ
They love regality and bright pageants, Agreeable bright, blinding visions, and nice lights. Venus can be very enchanting in Magha, women with this placement can have a regal and ghostly beauty like a young princess, she may attract a lot of jealousy, but she must remain gracious and dignified with her sister and the women in her life; she must honour the codes of ladies. They can become very successful working with women or with women’s products. Anything she does to uplift them will uplift herself. She must be careful not to get into beauty competitions with the other women; her beauty is a divine gift and her style is uniquely her. There really is no competition to be had. Man with this position must act honourably with women in their lives and women will in turn lift him up. They might have a very close relationship with a sister, or some other women in his life. He can never act dishonourably in the face of any agreement or he will suffer. If he treats his wife like a queen, she will lift him up like a king.
Venus in Magha women can be very independent. They typically have strong pride and have other women in their life with a similar strength of independence. That’s how they shine their beauty. They can sometimes be a little ambivalent about whose attention they attract with their feminine charms. Venus rules over our valuables, the things we collect, and harmonise with, our possessions; but like Mohini, she also possesses us. As I write this I am looking at a chart that has Sun & Venus in Magha with Mercury also in Leo in her 5th house. This kind of combination puts me in mind of the three jews that the Buddhists speak about: the Buddha, the Dharma & the Sangha. Of course she also has Jupiter and the 9th lordship taking a mystical turn so the three jewels allow her to surrender to the abyss.
Pamala Anderson with her little girl’s heart.
Pamala Anderson’s name stands out here with this Venus in the 4th house aspected by Rahu. She is perhaps most famous for her breasts: big, beautifully enhanced, standing out and taking centre stage; and appreciated by all. Candy Barr also had this position so it may be fair to say that women with Venus in 4th house Magha will have nice breasts which they will not be afraid to show off, perhaps even adding some glitter in this day and age. Rahu and Venus both influencing the 4th house along with nodal affliction to the moon is likely to give fake breasts; if it’s Ketu they could loose their breast for some reason.Â

Saturn in Magha
B.K.S. Iyengar: His book “The Light on Yoga” is one of the most famous yoga manuals.
Pada
Saturn in Magha Pada 3, Gemini Navamsha: They might be writing of signing documents related to emancipation or freedom for the blacks, the workers, the labourers, slavery.
