This course blends Jyotish with tantra and ayurveda. It’s a philosophy course to help us all connect energetically with the basic elements and energies of the universe.
No knowledge of astrology is needed for this class.
This is a philosophy course for mystics, yogis, astrologers, energy workers. It’s a blend of the Jyotish, Science of Karma & Tantra, the Science of Freedom.
Students will be introduced to the basic concepts and Scriptural texts of Kashmiri Shaivism. We will practice mantras, meditation, pranayama, gem stone use, and other “spiritual” remedies.
“The city eight is the Sun, the Moon, the Fire & the five senses.”
The ten classes will follow the planets as we consider the philosophical and esoteric energy that each represents. We will discuss mythology, scripture, ayurveda, and spiritual practice in order to impress upon us the beautiful interconnectivity between each branch of knowledge and each part of ourselves. Psychoanalysis agrees that that we are essentially a whole community of personalities that are in relationship with each other to make up the whole, which is our personality.

This will be a somewhat advanced course, we will cover. a lot of ground philosophically as well as through the self-practice. I suspect my Indian followers will get as much out of it as my western followers.
PDF notes will be available for each class, however keen students may want to look into the following texts: The Spanda Trilogy: “Aphorisms of Shiva,” “Stanzas on Vibration,” & “Doctrine of Vibration.” Plus, “The Tridactic Heart of Shiva,” “The Greatness of Saturn,” Abhinavagupta has a commentary of the “Bhagavad Gita.”
