Full Moon & Dark Moon dates for 2025 Moon Calendar along with the nakshatra.

The Purnimanta Calendar used in north India ends on the Full Moon (Purnima) and starts the following day of Pratipada of Krishna paksha. This is the original, more ancient calendar tied to rituals. By bringing the attention more the Full moon it focused more an fullness, clarity. It suggest that we we first have to go within (the waning moon of Krishna paksha) and complete you karmas given to us from past lives before we should bring something new idea to the external. and birthing it again until the Full moon.

In the south, the month ends on Amavaysha (dark moon) and starts the following day, Pratipada of shukla paksha. The focus of calendar is more on completion and renewal.
