Jupiter in Aquarius for each Ascendant

Aries

Aries natives will have Jupiter transiting their 11th house. Hopes and wishes are likely to be expansive, optimistic, and humanistic. Large groups and gathering may be distinguished by ideology or religion. Gain can come from these areas as well. It can bring a lot of changes to routine and home culture and it can cause some disturbance in our ability to fix problems and face our enemies because Jupiters expansiveness Saturn’s ability to make connection. Although Jupiter can bring a lot of connection, networking, and fine knowledgable friends into your circle, network of associates, he will limit those friendships by ideology, dogma, or religion. Non-the less, with all those connections with people of like-minded beliefs, one is likely to also enjoy smaller group participation and short trips to places that hold some kind of special significance. Jupiter will aspect the 5th house to open them up to more fun and romance in life. This aspect is also gives his blessing to children, marriage partners, contracts, agreements. Jupiter brings us an abundance to where ever he sits, when he’s in the Artha – Kama trine he makes us more agreeable to spend time with others in every which way. It can be quite a social time. It can be especially good for those whose career is already aligned with Jupiter as well as fro those who may be looking to peruse other avenues of income like small business or advisory work. On the flip side, one is likely to have less privacy and time alone during this period, and perhaps due tot he adherence to ideological connections, some people may see a loss of profits at this time. Large corporations have their own ways to make profits disappear to foreign lands.

Taurus

Taurus natives will feel this Jupiter on their career thru and expansion of duties and perhaps hours that they have to work. This is likely to be good for them on the long term, but it may not yield immediate profits and will take away from their time with friends. It’s a good time to do work that you really believe in. There may be some growth in the family, but laying 6th from the 5th, ones career is often and obstacle to having children so look for that kind of material growth from some other member of the lineage family. Though if Jupiter is also making relation with moon and 5th lord in a woman’s chart then the possibility of own child is there.Younger sibling may experience a spiritual rebirth or completely change their beliefs. This can be a good time for one to seek advisors for their problems: doctors, therapists, astrologers, priests, lawyers. It’s a good time to read the Bhagavad Gita and focus on completing your karma without attachment. Sitting in the Karma trine, it brings activity and since Jupiter owns the 8th house for Taurus natives, one will have to retain a certain amount of openness, optimism and dynamism in order to weather the fast paced policy changed going on at work

Gemini

Gemini natives find Jupiter in his most auspicious house. Luck, optimism and faith in god will be at a height. Humanistic tendencies will be strong and they are likely to come into contact with more professors, guru’s and father figures. This could mean going on pilgrimage, starting university or post graduate studies. One of the difficulties of this position is that it can be idealistic in it’s promotion for more liberal minded expansive beliefs. Of course, when we go into the world of policy, ideology or wisdom studies then our energy is pulled away from what we all “the real world” which is the hierarchy and the climb for the top. When we tinker with our beliefs there can be an unexpected change in the things we value. The 9th house also causes sudden changes to our savings. Ones family may also be greatly changed due to a death in the family. Growth in the household might also obstruct the natural home rhythms. Many might even find their home cultures negatively affected by globalism. But on the whole this should be a good transit for Gemini, health and personality will be blessed by wisdom, they will find more inspired creative involvement. Hope and optimism will be strong. This can be good for priests and professors and those seeking contract or advisory work with 9th house Aquarius topics: Shaiva philosophy, the global network, market policy. It’s also a good time for these natives to meet a suitable partner.

Cancer

Cancer natives will find this Jupiter in their 8th house. Jupiter is like a permission slip to have more sex and learn more about all those unspeakable topics that make us feel guilt and shame. Jupiter rules 6th and 9th, so hidden indiscretions are possible, one may experience a loss a faith or father, or, they may go away from their religion and seek occult knowledge. It’s a very good position for research and it can be beneficial for partners wealth or even unexpected gains like lottery, insurance inheritance, but it can also expend ones tax liabilities tax bill. Aspect to 12th house makes a person charitable so perhaps the tax burden can be offset thru charity. Charity also helps sooth a guilty conscience (5th from 8th house). In the end, this Jupiter will bring a renewal of faith when he moves to Pisces sometime next year. Younger siblings or perhaps even some of the groups we belong to will have problems due to over expansion. We all know what can happen to a small group of close friends once outsiders are allowed in (this of course is the great danger of tribalism). Too many secrets is likely to have a negative effect on both our communication and our mentality and our own changing beliefs will be seen as a problem to our tribe. The rapid cycle of changing policy is likely to catch us off guard in various ways. Saturn is still very strong and controlling Jupiter to a certain degree thru house ownership, so we will all be feeling the ideology in the marketplace.

Leo

Leo natives may see a recycling of relationships, hidden relationships, dating. They may be more liberal and forgiving with their spouse and with people in general. Good relations and interactions with society will help to make more friends, will likely have some health benefits and will likely involve them getting out and around the neighbourhood a little bit more; such are the benefits of having an optimistic outlook regarding others. This can be a period of transformation in the way you see the other. But this Jupiter can also make your relationships feel heavy. Your sense of family values may be challenged and you may find some kind revolutionary shift in your dreams and fantasies. Seventh house Jupiter is an excellent position for gain, profit and connectivity of ones father or guru and those Leo natives who follow this kind of life path (11th from 9th in the 11th sign, Jupiter is natural signifier of 9th house). This is really good for counsellors sin e it combines the intelligence of 5th house with the secret nature of 8th house and the one-on-one atmosphere of 7th house. Can be good for any business that maintains confidential clientele or contracts.

Virgo

Virgo natives have the kendra owning “bad boy” Jupiter in their charts; he loses his first face as a benevolent guru and will be making some trouble in the 6th house and perhaps bringing some troublesome advisors into your life; possibly just knotty boy sort of thing. May have trouble with fat on the body, or over extension. Contracts may get broken and your partner may fall ill. Problems with landlords and an increase of debt; though perhaps it’s also a time of visiting a credit councillor. You will need to see Ketu, the dissolver, in your natal chart to see when and if your debt can be cleared. You might be more perturbed by marketplace ideology than most as you point to it as the cause of all the obstacles in life. One way of another, Virgo’s are not likely to be political fence sitters while Jupiter is in Aquarius. As you begin to feel better about your debt and problems in life you should see an increase (or at least diversified) savings. The extra expenditure on advisors to overcome your problems can be seen thru Jupiters aspect to the 12th house; this will also affect your subconscious to make you  more judicious in your approach to your problems (this alone can make a big difference). Some hope should be there that you can at least do something, about your 6th house problems. The benefits of Jupiter transiting the 6th house are often most clearly see once Jupiter moves to transit the 7th house and hope is fully restored in ones perception of the other (relationships should then flourish and grow). With Jupiter in 6th and Saturn aspecting the 2nd house, you may want to check on the eating habits of your Virgo friends.

Libra

Libra natives might be in a time of life where they want to put their problems on stage. This may come in the way children act out in order to get attention, or it could come in a way of announcing their victimhood and putting some kind of distance between themselves and their enemies. This could be a time of avoiding ones problems. Group think could be strong now, they are likely to get a lot of attention. One may see themselves as a story teller, a brave hero of justice. Jupiter’s transit to the 5th house is good for children, but in Libra natives Jupiter rules the 6th house so those children might also become a burden, or perhaps merely the over expansion of pregnancy that is a burden. This Jupiter can also affect sleep due to the hope infused excitement of 5th house. You can expect policy changes in your job; there could be lots of big changes in that regard and you might not be fully comfortable with them. Jupiter is in a good position to bring a lot more fun and excitement to life. You may go on more dates, or just take more little risks. It’s a really good time for creative risk, to start some kind of new project and overcome any initial hurdles.

Scorpio

Scorpio natives will enjoy more time at home. Jupiters transit to the 4h house is one of the best for children as it brings children into the home both thru Jupiter and the 5th house as well as family prosperity from Jupiters 2nd house ownership. The home expansion will be seen in many ways: children coming into the home, some family member moving in. It could be a literal expansion project on the house, expanding the boundaries. Home life should be pleasant; farmers and gardeners with this placement will do well and one s likely to fell some inner peace. Expenditures often increase, but one my be happy to spend. And although long term prosperity is benefited by this placement, it can create obstacles to making money and one may be gainful for your debtors and enemies. This Jupiter can bring a greater spiritual or religious influence into the home and bring increase in comforts, research and meditation. This is, however, a position that suggests open borders or at least a very liberal border policy and of course this can relate with our personal boundaries as well so depending on how we are naturally attuned we will have more or less appreciation for this position.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius natives will find themselves identifying with their story, social medic, group or organization. It could be spiritual groups, ideological groups, policy task force. Communication my take on a sense of gravity and one may try to use ideology to get what they want. There could be some virtue signalling with this placement. On one hand there could be more time for hobbies and perhaps taking up some new hobbies, but small business owners with this placement can see an expansion of their business. They may find that they have more time to do what they want to do rather than what they have to do. We typically like this kind of thing, but there is not a lot of positive personal growth. They are likely to spend more time out of the home and short travels will be auspicious. This Jupiter can bring more meetings, association memberships, certifications, brotherhoods. All of these third house things can become fairly routine by the end of the transit. This Jupiter can be a message of hope.

Capricorn

Capricorn natives will feel some heaviness over their stored income. Jupiter can offer several forms of savings here as well as bringing spirituality, religion or ideology into the family values. The difficulty with this placement is that Jupiter is not a good planet for Capricorn natives and could bring losses related to savings and stored for and resources, but it can also cause them to skip meals and generally experience some loss es due to not being very present. You might also suffer losses due to not being aware of your speech. Perhaps you just repeat some ideological trope just because it’s been repeated so much before, but in this case you loos something because of it. Your own teachers could suffer also due to an imbalanced application of policy initiatives or unfair decisions. You might make some effort to apply more wisdom to your diet or perhaps your diet becomes affected by religious or ideological considerations. You might find yourself separating yourself from your tribe/group/association. It’s could give a heavy diet and more sweet flavour is possible. It’s good time to seek advice for your problems, perhaps even marital counselling since your partner will be experiencing this in their 8th house (8th from 7th). You can see the report for Cancer to see how your partner might fare in this planetary weather. It’s a good time to learn other languages, expand your bookshelf, or collect religious artefacts. Due to Saturns aspect on this Jupiter all these collections might be old or practical.

Aquarius

Aquarius natives will have this Jupiter in their ascendant, an infamously beneficial placement of Jupiter for good health, optimistic personality, humanistic nature, and a generally expansive perspective of oneself. Aspects to 5h and 9th house bring an expansive personality, broad intellect, and better relations with gurus and father figures. Jupiter is the main planet of wealth for these people so for better or worse they may identify with their wealth, both savings and income. It’s usually a good position for gain, strong connection to ones network of connections, as well as for this whole network to gain together. One may, however, go away from their family and/or shed some of their previous family values. And this can also cause a loss of prosperity in general for the family line. That family line might itself be lost. This Jupiter is good for self improvement and our self improvement can bring unexpected obstacles to our enemies, and there can also be sudden changes to our debt. Jupiter involvement with 11th and aspect to the 5th house also aids in speculative gains which can help end debt. If you are waiting for some kind of unearned income (insurance money, welfare, inheritance) there could be some obstacles (legal or policy) to these kinds of funds. Also, planets in 1st house can be an obstacle to research or going deep since the first house lies on the surface.

Pisces

Pisces natives will be charitable and may face heavy expenditures, but this is a really good time to just head off to the ashram, practice meditation, take peace. It’s a good position to detach from material concerns and focus on spiritual life. Pisces itself represents isolated places, combined with this Jupiter in 12 ones may find indoctrination camps in isolated places. It’s a good position for anyone who works in isolated settings in any form: in the studio, the hospital, foreign places. This Jupiter can make one more open to foreign cultures, which, by aspect, opens the door to some surprise and to crossing the bridge and exploring the mysteries of life like sex, death, occultism and astrology. Jupiter in the moksha times can bring a kind of peace. This Jupiter can influence big changes in ones children, perhaps because of spiritual or ideological reasons tied to mass movements. This Jupiter can also draw energy away from your relationships, since Jupiter rules 4th and 7th from 7th our partner may be feeling like a slave to you and her home. Parental duties of the spouse could be especially heavy. This is because the pisces native my find themselves dreaming with their head in the clouds. Good for imagination.

Rahu in the houses

Rahu in 1st house

Unusual, fascinating, bi-polar, outcast, deformed. Their personality is boundary breaking and they often feel special or chosen in some way. Thei personality may show some inconsistency like mania, depression or bi-polar. Some kind of physical deformity is possible. This could be something subtle or it could be major depending on the power of lagnesha and other factors. These natives often have the ability to fascinate people, and since Rahu rules over magnetism, people are often drawn in by this fascination. They may be attractive or repulsive, but it’s likely they will manage to blend both of these traits into the moment.

They are often non-conformist living on the fringes of society or freely mixing with all people regardless of social position. They are often rebels without a cause putting themselves before everyone and everything else. They are likely to do almost anything to be noticed.

Many may be affected by fatal alcohol syndrome or other debilities from the womb. Rahu can be recognised by wide set eyes, scanty hair (one the head, body and face), a smoky appearance, some oily or snakelike qualities, and certainly there will be something foreign (mixed race) looking about them compared to the typical features of their family. Some believe that the father could be someone other than the mother’s husband. At the very least this is likely to be questioned at some level.

Rahu in 2nd house

Lies, falser values, corrupt banking, unusual image, creepy smile, impure food. Image is everything to these people. There is usually something unusual about the face they show to the world: the way they speak, dress, the stories they tell, the lineage they claim to be from. Something about their image just doesn’t quite fit who they really are. They may have something unusual or deformed about their face, mouth, eyes, or hair style.

They like to project wealth that they don’t have and debt is a common outcome. Money really does have a way of burning a hole in their pocket. They have no sense of the true value of anything and they have no qualms about appropriating someone else’s hard earned income. Some kind of hoarding is also common with this placement, and since they are incapable of properly judging value, their hoards are usually filled with worthless junk.

Their speech usually comes across as insincere (if not outright lies). But they are often great storytellers with a liberal use of improper language. Speech impediments are not uncommon with this placement.  They are prone to illnesses of over consumption and likely eat meat and drink alcohol in the quest for what they believe the good life to be.

They can be the worst kinds of Hippocrates claiming false lineage and never living up to the values they claim to follow. This actually allows them to do pretty good in society for a while, but eventually the smoke clears and they are exposed for their lies and corruption.

Rahu in 3rd house

Fake new, criminal gang, mixed messages, dirty mentality, false courage. These people can often be found mixing amongst unusual groups and possibly criminal gangs. They are so fascinated by teams and tribal affiliations that they get in way over their heads. They want to be seen as special because of these group affiliations and they can be highly manipulative of their group, tribe, team or gang. And often these groups are on some kind of mission to bend the rules or break taboos.

They may be famous for their urgent and ambitious messaging style, but as the smoke clears (and it always does), their false reports will be plain for all to see. They are masters at harnessing the power of social media and some might even be effective hackers. Their mixed messages and foggy communication brings a pronounced confusion to interpersonal relationships as others wonder just what kind of message they were trying to send out. Their gestures are often exaggerated in some way; this includes a kind of insincere communication style.

Rahu 3rd often signifies smoking, or the inhalation of thick oily smoke that will have its effect on the lungs. Ear problems like tinnitus can be seen with this placement and it’s likely they will have some kind of deformity of the shoulders, hands and arms. Crooked fingers and knobby knuckles is the most common manifestation of this placement.

We see a person’s mentality in the 3rd house so Rahu here makes them unusually often criminal in their intent since they don’t play by the same rules as the rest of us. Rahu’s effect on the kama trine ensures that these people will break the rules to satisfy their desires. They can be exceedingly courageous, but in many ways it’s a false courage that tends to get them in over their heads. Hobbies are also seen in the 3rd house so they will likely have unusual, smokey and boundary breaking hobbies. Since small commercial ventures are also a part of 3rd house we can also find these natives doing some kind of shady business.

The 3rd house is the first upachaya and Rahu is said to do well in these houses. Some astrologers say that he is exalted in gemini, and it’s true one can do well in the material world with this placement, but it’s the kind of doing well that comes with the suffering of the insatiable desire to fulfil their desires. This position works well for used cars salesmen, cheats, media activists. [Note: regarding journalism or messaging that the Sun will seek after truth and Venus will seek balance.]

Rahu in 4th house

Boundary issues, unstable foundations, learning disabilities, environmental pollution, no sense of belonging. This is a very difficult placement since it affects the very foundation of our life, mother, home, education. Mother is often ill or absent from a person’s early life. At best she would have been inconsistent in her motherly nurturing affections. There may be some kind of unconventional parentage that disrupted the early rhythms, routines and habits. These people are often raised on the wrong side of the tracks, in factory districts, on or near polluted lands.

As children these people were often disruptful in the classroom and it’s possible they suffered from some kind of learning disability. If they get to university it’s likely that this too will be disrupted by some unique set of circumstances.  It’s often due to the unusual circumstances of their early childhood that they will have difficulty fitting in anywhere. They often go away from their birth place and live amongst other cultures in order to feel any kind of comfort, but any true sense of relaxation, contentment or release will elude them. These natives often remain renters and if they do have home or land they often come by it from false pretence: bank fraud, squatters, constant problems with landlords and caretakers who do not have proper boundaries will never provide the kind of foundation needed to establish solid roots in a place or cultural community. Some will seek to defend the land rights of others. And this position is ripe for cultural appropriation.

Nannies, babysitters, step parents, early childhood teachers, gardeners and others who take on caretaking and parental roles without being fully legitimate will be seen with Rahu in 4th. Ultimately these people never learned proper boundaries and will invade the physical and emotional space of others and do not have the skills to keep others from doing the same to them. No matter what they do to put up boundaries there will always be a weak point somewhere.

Rahu in the 5th house

Drama queen, gambler, forbidden lovers, narcissist. These people want all the attention, they feed off the attention and the drama they create, and their false sense of entitlement allows them to create a lot of drama. Social media influencers and others who project any kind of fantasy life that is really just smoke and mirrors would have this kind of combination (5th owner in 12th house would certainly ensure the fantasy part).

They are gamblers and risk takers. They could be the grandmother cheating at cards, the politician accused of insider trading or the sports fixer seeking advantage. They often want to get some kind of advantage from their staged creative expressions. They like to break the rules just for fun. They are often obsessed with the idea of romantic love and they could be serial daters or tinder professionals. Their desperate search for “true love” often leads them down the road to heartbreak. This is also the position of the forbidden lover and illegitimate children (mars aspect can bring an abortion while Jupiter’s aspect can bring many (often adopted)  children. These people will often use their children to get privilege. In poor chart we can find welfare moms and other kinds of negligent parents who use their children for their own selfish ends.

They are fascinated by that slight increase in heart rate that comes switch gambling and romance. Rahu here can also give someone an irregular heart beat (especially if sun is involved).  It’s often said that these natives have very sharp minds, but they often prove to be more clever than truly intelligent as Rahu in 5th can cause them to miscalculate (especially if Rahu is influencing mercury as well), make a mistake or obfuscate the matter somehow.

Creativity and originality are seen in the 5th so all of this gets a little smoky, certainly unique, taboo and boundary breaking. They can misrepresent their productivity and they are all about productivity: more and more and more, it’s never enough. And the eventual disposal of the smoke will reveal the deeper truths and in the end they often end up without any real friends, just snakes and backbiters.

Rahu in the 6th house

Provocation, exploitation, playing the victim. The 6th house is the 2nd upachaya house where Rahu is said to do well. He is often called the king maker in this position. He’s at home in this house of crime and accusation where he can exploit people’s vulnerabilities for their own gain. They can be masters at playing the victim role and know just how to exploit and manipulate a bad situation. Because of Rahu’s smoky ways it can be difficult to distinguish the exploited from the exploiter. These people make very good corrupt officials capable of engineering scandals while maintaining their own innocence. Virgo is the innocent virgin and this status, though likely untrue, is used to gain advantage somehow. They might be working behind the scenes as disaster capitalists pretending to help while exploiting the situation for maximum personal benefit. Ambulance chasers (lawyers), Dr Feel-good (drug dealers), bullies and others who seek to exploit the marginalised people will have this placement. Sometimes it’s the subtleties of a healthcare career that thieves in unbalanced situations. Things are never what they seem when Rahu is involved.

Rahu in the 6th might the the provocateur who loves to start fights, poke the sleeping bear and lure people into the trap. It’s the young vixen in the short skirt attracting the wrong kind of attention and claiming innocence. It’s the” protester” instigating violence to justify a heavy police crackdown.  Rahu in 6th house is fascinated by drugs, crime, debt, war, disagreement, prostitution, illness and every kind fo imbalance. This can be a very dangerous place for Rahu to get in over his head. Someone may be using medicinals improperly and will be inconsistent in following any kind of therapy. They often avoid personal responsibility at all costs.

They may have unusual enemies or illnesses, stomach problems and digestive issues are common with this Rahu. They are likely to prefer (or even practice) alternative forms of healing which can go either way.  We also see peoples pets and service personnel in the 6th house. Both of which will likely be exotic or unusual in some way. And it’s possible they will complain that “good help is hard to find.”

Rahu in the 7th house

Taboo relationships, deals with the devil, people pleaser. Rahu in the 7th house is notorious for difficult relationships. These people tend to think they need a partner to save them and they will agree to almost anything to get it. Fulfilling their agreements is quite another matter, but they are often offering more than they can do or they are saying they can do things that they cannot.

They like taboo relationships, exotic partners are common: cultural mixing, same-sex partners, religious differences, large gaps in age, polygamy or open relationships are just some of the possibilities with this. These days it can even lead to a kind of devout celibacy (which is certainly strange in this day and age). Cheating, or being cheated on is common. They seek agreement and will use any means to get it. It can be very difficult for them to say no and once they’ve compromised they often find they’ve agreed to more than they bargained for. They often cannot see the agreement for what it is or their partner for who they are. And the terms of the contract are soon broken.

This is another position that can give illegal business practices. They are more than willing to make a deal with the devil to get ahead. This is like the oil business or any other pollution generating business. But every kind of dodgy deal can come out of this Rahu placement.

There is something about these people that is out of tune, they lack balance and harmony and seek equity through unequal terms. They can be very diplomatic and counsellors and advisors who break the rules or deal with taboo topics might  have this in their chart.  This Rahu can cause fertility problems or sexual debility (check Moon, Venus & Mars).

Rahu in the 8th house

This is a very dangerous place for Rahu since his fascination leads a person thru the field of sex, death, catastrophe, guilt and transformation. They often like kinky or unusual sex and sexual partners. They can try all kinds of crazy things and still not be satisfied. They can become sex addicts with this (but we need to see more than this to confirm). They can take part in all kinds of risky behaviour and will likely cheat death several times before pushing their luck just a little too far.

They may be obsessed with intimacy seeking to know what lies just below the surface. This can make them good researchers or detectives. Negative placements with this Rahu may cause them to stock their prey. They can be very sneaky and move around undetected.

Their focus will be on the wealth of others: their partners’ wealth, the value of trusts, the hunger for inheritance, or merely for easy unearned wealth. Sometimes these people marry rich, get a disappointing inheritance, or live off the money or trusts, but they might also be the one who merely leeches off their partner; much better at taking than giving.

They can be good in emergency situations, but similar urges as those seen with Ketu in 6th come up here as they seek to gain advantage thru catastrophic circumstances, emergencies, secrets. And secrets are a big part of the 8th house. This goes along with research and detective work, but there are many other ways they might use the secrets they know for their own advantage. This can lead them to occult, astrology, tarot and other methods of divination.

My teacher calls Rahu in 8th, the “wanderer.” Their fascination leads them to cross the bridge, go to the other side of the tracks, enter the forbidden forest, and go overseas. Since the 8th house is all about sudden events, it’s never long before their fascination has moved on to something else.

Rahu in the 9th house

Rahu in the 9th house hungry for the big picture. They want faith and philosophy, they are often travellers going to places that are sacred to them. These pilgrimages are likely to be unusual like their beliefs; but they will be passionate about their beliefs often holding them regardless of any proof in the contrary. They are often insincere Hippocrates who often assume the role of priest, professor or father figure without having the correct credentials. Rahu makes expedient use of religion in this position and will claim to follow whichever path will get them what they want or elevate their social standing. They often feel as though they are uniquely positioned to expound the higher truths despite their confusion on the topic. They can take on the external image of spirituality much easier than they can acquire the internal feeling of faith. Of course this kind of spiritual posturing can lead to a “holier than you” attitude.

This can be a very political or ideological position as one seeks out the winning doctrine. The actual ideology doesn’t matter so much as the benefits that can be gained by professing that ideology.

There is likely to be something unusual about the father figure and it’s possible there will even be some confusion over who one’s real father really is. Guru’s and mentors will be unusual in some way: often false prophets or fake gurus.

Rahu in the 10th house

This is the third upachaya house that Rahu is said to do well in. His fascination for leadership is very good at climbing the ladder while skipping a few steps in between. They tend to get positions of leadership without following the usual stepwise process. Of course they get in over their heads, but they also learn fast. There can be all kinds of disruptions in their career, but their ambition rarely falters.

They will likely be seen as outcasts in their career and there are likely to be some stains upon their reputation. They could achieve the top spot for some time, but they usually fall before they are ready. They can also be the co-worker who seems to assume the role of the boss even if they really don’t have any legitimate claim to authority. But some people will also be known for their taboo or boundary breaking activity. What exactly they do can be hard to see through the smoke and mirrors, but they will fascinate people by their actions.

Since social reputation is important to them, they seek to be seen and known and have little concern for home and comfort. They will easily take a job transfer for a better position. They may work irregular hours or face other irregularities in the office. These are the people who are also likely to abuse their position of power somehow, or perhaps they will merely sow confusion.   They can suffer from problems related to the skeletal system or the knees.

Rahu in the 11th house

This is the 4th upachaya house that Rahu excels in. As the house of gain and profit, Rahu injects a strong dose of greed. The profit motive has become the great illusion for these people. This can be a very financially rewarding position for Rahu. Money money money everywhere and they don’t mind bending the rules to make it.

They want more than anything to appear as a success, especially financially successful (Rahu in 2nd house has some similarities); they want to be seen as someone who has achieved their hopes and dreams in life. But is you ask them about their hopes and goals in life their answer will be unclear. They don’t really know what they want, or what they want is some strange unusual thing that can never be achieved. Rahu in Libra here might say they want world peace without having any plan to get it, but at some point they might just make the claim that they have achieved it. In any case, they will have the power to fascinate people with their hopes and dreams.

The network is found in the 11th house. This gives Rahu a lot of strength here as his obsessive ways and technological acumen work very well with the massive source of network associates. These days in network interconnectivity it’s a very powerful place for Rahu. People will be fascinated by ones network of friends. They will be an unusual sort who feel entitled to challenge boundaries. They can be very good community organisers.

Problems to the lower leg or irregularities in the nervous system or connective tissue can cause hurdles in a person’s life.

Rahu in the 12th house

As the house of loss Rahu is fairly happy here since everything he eats passes thru without satisfaction. This becomes the plight of this natives expenditure: lots of wastage and little satisfaction. At best, money will be spent on strange unusual things but still they will not get to enjoy them. It will be much the same as purchasing smoke, which is actually indicated by this Rahu: expenses on things that go up in smoke. Rahu’s sign and sign lord will, of course, have a lot of say in these matters.

The 12th house is also the final moksha house and it’s the most well known house for liberation so these people may be fascinated by the freedom of liberation and are unlikely to be encumbered by stuff. They can just give things away and lose everything. They cannot get enough loss and they experience a lot of this; they will break the boundaries of proper expenditure. Much of it will go to outcasts or be spent on improper things. One of the nice things about Rahu in the 12th house is that those shadowy expenses mostly remain private; that whole Rahuvian shadow side remains hidden, not out of guilt that comes from the 8th house hidden, but because the things of the 12th house are essentially lost in the universal ocean.

We also see a person’s inner quest for spirituality in the 12th house (the 9th house has more to do with our external expressions of spirituality). With Rahu here they are fascinated and hungry for the inner spiritual experience. As the 4th from the 9th it is the foundation for the external expressions of spirituality. They will build an unusual foundation for their beliefs, or perhaps merely a foreign foundation that can be unclear.

But dreams, fantasies and imagination are also a part of the 12th house and these things don’t have to follow any protocol; the 12th house is already unreal so Rahu works pretty good here. This Rahu can be good for the imagination, dreaming big, really big, and having unusual or even taboo fantasies. It’s likely that others will not see these 12th house things in a person clearly so there may be some fascination generated in the public about their foreign travels or getaways. These kinds of things will certainly be unique.

The most obvious thing about Rahu in the 12th house is travel: foreign travel or just getting away from it all. They can experience much solitude or isolation in life. And it’s likely they will seek advantage from qualities relation to foreignness, dreams, meditation. But further fascination could be there for hospitals, retreats, prisons, asylums, and the rest of these places (or people relating to the places) represented in the 12th house.

The deformity on the body is most likely to occur on the foot.

June 21 transits

June 21 Eclipse in Gemini will have significant effects on media and communication. It will be occurring in Mrigrashira nakshatra, but very quickly after crossing the Sun, the moon will go into Ardra nakshatra. Both of these nakshatra relate to research in slightly different ways. It’s the part of the story where the inebriating quest for satisfaction is sought in the material world where it meets with disappointment, frustration and sorrow.

Dark moon is always a time of diminished sensitivity, but with Rahu it can pervert the mind, heighten fears and phobias and mask the true intentions. With Sun in this house, truth can become skewed and people may feel a false sense of power. With Mercury, I expect the emotional rhetoric to increase dramatically for the few days around the eclipse. With the warrior Mars aspecting from Pisces the rhetoric will be especially aggressive and there is likely to be much talk of war.

The path of the eclipse is through Congo, Ethiopia, Yemen, Pakistan, North India and across a good partition of China and Taiwan. This could be especially deadly in North India where 20 Indian soldiers were recently killed in what can only be described as a brawl with their Chinese counterparts of the remote border region. And Yemen has been under siege for so long that anything could happen there. And China, including Taiwan, have their own problems which are not so different from what we see going on in Seattle these days with the autonomous zone.

Gemini rules over the arms: not just the arms of the body, but also the armaments of nations and the weapons we possess. This is an interesting point because it suggests how words are weapons, and how media rhetoric and information technology play into the struggles and obstacles we face. We have seen numerous unconventional weapons since Rahu came into Gemini; much of which would be in the form of propaganda, but we have also been hearing about lasers and “super duper” fast missiles. Sun and Mars will be affecting Rahu giving powerful effects to the force of unconventional arms.

Gemini is the sign of groups, teams, gangs, associates, and essentially tribalism. We have seen this great fascination with tribalism over the past couple of years as society drifts away from the notion of the sovereign individual. The current BLM movement has certainly exacerbated the divide between whites and blacks (while ignoring the reality that most of the world falls somewhere in between the two), the fascists and the anti-fascists (while ignoring the fanatical extremism on both sides). There is a tendency for the media to lump people into groups and judge people based on their group identity rather than their individual identity or actions. Again, the Mars aspect here can easily devolve into tribal warfare. (You’ll notice that I even just lumped the media together as a tribe before I made my allegations even though I am arguably taking part in the media myself by writing this.)

Gemini is also the 6th sign from Capricorn suggesting the obstacles we face as leaders as well as the obstacles faced by governments. This is why something as simple as free speech is so important and so contentious: it’s the enemy of the government. And as an interesting twist, Gemini is also the 10th sign from Virgo which suggests some connection with the leader of the enemy. So we end up with these masked rogue leaders in the USA and plenty to suggest that it’s not organic as it seems. I have been saying for months that nothing is as it seems. This is the Rahu effect in Gemini.

The loss of cultural grounding that we get in Cancer is lost in Gemini. Where Cancer brings people together out of a sense of shared values and national identity, Gemini (tribalism) works together with(7th from) Sagittarius (globalism) for the destruction of the natural rhythms, home comforts, culture, and boundaries. The more direct effects of the eclipse are usually only felt for a few days before and after so it’s possible we will get some growing expressions of nationalism by the 23rd or so.

If it was a human chart I was looking at with the Aries ascendant, I would likely diagnose them with hyperthyroidism in the eclipse chart.

Mars in Pisces brings with it a kind of repressed anger that comes out through as aggressive communication. It causes one’s enemies to also be more aggressive, and fights with partners and generally unruly negotiations. It brings a kind of passive aggressiveness that infuriates everyone around. It should be noted that Saturn is also aspecting Mars which will increase the inner sense of frustration. This can also bring some tension at sea that will last for the duration of this aspect.

This Mars Saturn tension is also affecting agreements and negotiations with their aspect on Libra along with Rahu. This Mars influence will likely be the final straw for many agreements and partnerships as each party begins to assert themselves. Rahu has been aspecting this sign for about a year now so many of these negotiations have not been in good faith anyways.

Mars in Pisces can also increase that activity at night, fighting going on behind the scenes and fighting in foreign lands due to a kind of subconscious aggression. Some might say that the ancestral spirits want to express themselves in an aggressive way.

The good news is that Jupiter also has an aspect on Virgo which should allow diplomacy to avert all out war, but the smaller tribal wars like we see in the USA right now are likely to experience heightened intensity for only a few days.

Jupiter and Venus are still giving effects in Taurus which will continue to be good for the bankers. Though inflation is also possible due to these two powerful benefics increasing the value of stored resources while mercury, who is the Money itself is corrupted by Rahu and burnt out by the two fiery planets.

Eclipses are a good time for Tantra and occult sadhana for those who are prepared to face their shadows with compassion. It’s a very good time to distinguish ourselves and others as individuals rather than as members of the group. It’s also a good time to take action to overcome our obstacles, illnesses and enemies. Mantra meditations can be especially potent with Leo’s ruler in Gemini. Gemini shows what we gain from Mantra. The value of fixed assets can grow in this time. Research, secret knowledge and revolution will all feel some appreciation from Venus aspect, but since Mars, the ruler of Scorpio, is in Pisces it might be difficult to actualize, though there can be unexpected gains none-the-less. Active meditation, commonly done through walking or yoga can have special benefits as well.

This eclipse seems to me to signal the end of six months of Kal Sharpa. The illuminator of truth is finally coming out of the grasp of the shadows. Much of the confusion of the first half of this year should begin to become more clear. But we also have to be open to the idea that we may have been wrong about some things over the first part of the year. This is crucial for personal growth. Allow reason to keep your intuition in check while simultaneously allowing your intuition to keep your reason in check. Allow them to meet in the middle without giving primacy to either.

Good luck

Astrology Case study – Justine Trudeau: Prime Minister of Canada

Asc: Leo/Magha – Leo ascendant likes to have centre of attention. His Sun is in 5th house which amplifies this trait considerably. On one hand, Leo does not like to serve under anyone, on the other hand, Magha, the constellation represented by a throne is also from the serving class. This suggests a Magha king is a servant of the people. The exchange between 6th and 10th house leaving Saturn in the 10th and Venus in 6th will confirm this.

Magha ascendant people are typically proud of their ancestry and may come from a line of social or political leaders. Otherwise they are likely to find and adhere to a specific spiritual lineage. The main motivation of this nakshatra is wealth.

His Moon is in Revati which means “wealthy.” Revati is the last constellation and has Pushan, visionary guide who leads us to our next incarnation. Pushan is also lord of flocks and herds; a nurturer. Revati is ultimately a sattvic spiritual nakshatra. The moon here loves travel and may be very comfortable while on the road. Because of the Jupiter (ruler of Pisces) and Mercury (ruler of Revati) these people are able to combine expansive thought with Mercury’s attention to detail. This makes them intelligent and gives interest in mysticism and ancient cultures.

His moon in also in the eight house which brings difficulties by mother. One may not know what to expect. However in adult life one become quite comfortable and cool in the face of sudden events and unexpected occurrences.

With Jupiter and Mercury in 4th house it’s likely he grew up with several Mather figures; at least one of which he might have developed a close maternal relationship with. Saturn and Mercury aspecting 4th house is known to give step mothers.

We also find an exchange between the 4th and 8th house; between Jupiter and Mars. This also reconfirmes the difficulties with Mother and suggest also some lack of relationship with father since Mars rules the 9th house of father and sits in the 12th house from the 9th.

When we look to the 9th house from the moon to see his emotional relationship with father we find ourselves looking at the 4th house from Lagna. Although his parents may have been distant and unpredictable, they still provided him with adequate maternal and paternal nourishment and guidance so that he was not adversely affected by it in a significant way. It should be noted that the 4/10 angle between sun and moon suggest merely a working relationship between his parents.

By strength and spiritual content of 8th house it seems reasonable that he also believes in Astrology and may use it for gain in some way. He may get such beliefs also from his mother who likely followed some kind of occult of mystical path.

Wealth:

Mercury rules 2nd and 11th; both wealth houses and sits in the house of property and real-estate so there is sure to be wealth in this field. As well as from parents, vehicles. Scorpio in 4th can signify property inheritance. The exchange between with 8th house Firth highlights this effect. Considering the exchange is between 5th and 9th owners it’s quite strong and beneficial. Jupiter also aspects his own 8th house which represents inheritance as well as hidden wealth and spouse’s family.

His 8th house gets added power by housing Mars who is Yoga Karaka planet in his chart (which offers some special fortune in its period). It’s known to be the least likely period for death, the effects give rise in our life. In his case, with Mars in the 8th house he will have to deal with unexpected eruptions of force. One astrologer friend once suggested he could become a war time leader during Mars Dasha (Nov 2022 – Nov 2029). Considering he became Prime Minister in Moon period, his Mars period should give him great power via unexpected events in the home, he will himself be prone to sudden accident or injury. The moon mars conjunction in the 8th makes him thrive in emergency situations. By the time Mars Jupiter period finishes he will be a new man.

Moon Venus period could bring some unexpected scandal or workplace impropriety. Sixth house Venus rules the 10th house of reputation and the 3rd house of news and announcements. This is certain to bring obstacles related to women in the workplace or from small group settings. Venus and Rahu together in the 6th house can give some addiction to sweets and pleasures; self medication. Moon mars also aspect the 2nd house suggest a taste for alcoholic beverages, spice and seafood (salt).

But I’ve digressed considerably; I was discussing wealth and entitlement. He is fortunate in both areas. And since Saturn aspects his own 7th house, and because Saturn (7th owner) ties the marriage together with a veneer if social respectability in the 10th house, it unlikely he will face divorce.

I mentioned a bit about Venus and his dietary habits. When we put that together with a predominately pitta constitution via Leo Lagna and lagnesha (ruler of Lagna) in a fiery house, we start to eat a picture of his health. Leo ascendant people are known for heart problems, poor diet and always being centre stage will take a tole on the heart. Mars is also with moon in the 8th house which will make a person very emotionally reactive and competitive though they might like to hide this side of themselves.

We also find Venus and Moon in dussthana house (illness or problem causing houses: 6, 8, 11, and sometimes 3). Since they are both watery planets is sure he will suffer thru bladder and kidneys. Mars in 8th is karaka for accidents. Capricorn in 6th and Saturn in 10th have to give some problem with his knees despite the beneficial exchange. Rahu and 8th lord are also aspecting the 10th house. From the moon we also have the 6th lord in 10th house. There could be some inbalance in the skeletal system since Capricorn and the 10th rule this as well.

But when we discuss the health relating with this chart, we have to keep in mind that Lagna, lagnesha and sun are all powerfully placed without strong aspects from any malefics. His moon is less auspicious, however here we find the aspect of Jupiter (wisdom) and 5th owner (intelligence and sport) offering his guidance. So generally we will find the native healthy.

Venus and Rahu in Shravana nakshatra in the 6th house will most surely give problems with reproductive organs which is Shravanas secondary body part; the primary body part related to Shravana is the ears, which are also dignified by the 3rd and 11th House; and Jupiter. Venus is 3rd owner in 6th so it’s likely that he suffers acute ear infections and due to Jupiter’s affliction may suffer hearing impairment (especially in the right ear: 3rd from Lagna and from moon).

While we are talking about health, a comment should be made about 8th house as well. Longevity, chronic illness, sudden shocking events (accidents) and death. Moon is making vipreet raja yoga which extends the lifespan and gives benefit from situations of loss. Mars (9th owner also in this chart) can also give one the ability to act quickly; good reflexes. Again one could laud the benefits of a strong first house and owner. This is really the best defense we have for all aspects of life: strong physical health and quite literally a good head on our shoulders, and a strong personality. The moon here gives knowledge of explosive secrets (mars and Ketu both aspect which can relate with very sudden combustion (mars) and expansion (Ketu) (moon and Pisces both relate with liquid as well).

Two other house that have considerable influence in our life, the 5th and the 9th have a unique pattern in this chart: the owners of each of these houses fall back one house. This suggest losses to 5th and 9th house articles as well as of the articles of the signs that are in 5th and 9th. So separation from children and father; but also loss of productivity and perhaps loss of faith.

I wanted to talk next about the faith of this man which is largely ruled by Mars who rules 9th from Lagna and from moon and sits in the 8th house with the moon. Mars brings his dynamic activity to ones faith; Aries can make him very independent and self going in his faith, he will not follow blindly. The relationship of 9th and 12th lords in the 8th house will certainly give him some mystical beliefs and tantric practices that he keeps behind closed doors. Mars will likely keep some distance between himself and his teachers, but moon is showing a strong emotional connection. Mars relation with 9th makes a spiritual warrior who is not afraid to proclaim his own path. He certainly suffers with anger and competitive feelings where there should be brotherhood. Mars can make him somewhat emotionally reactive so it’s possible he will find his guru this way (by some emotional reaction of time and space and mixture of energies from the moment). His own action is likely to be as unpredictable his emotional life. Due to beneficial yogas the outcome would typically be favorable. Once again we must consider the strength of the Lagna and the chart as a whole. This man is a king, a prime minister, who comes from a line of prime ministers and captains of industry; this inner instinct of this man is well honed on the art of war.

Moon -Jupiter period saw him win a the election for Prime minister. Moon Mars he left a teaching job to begin the competition. It seems reasonable that he used dirty tactics in Moon Rahu in order to get the Moon Jupiter outcome.

Sun period saw him mostly engage in sport and find various ways to sharpen his intelligence and strengthen his body. Sun-Venus would have related with his boxing career. Moon Mars can give him water sports. Sun in 5th will always like individual competition. The sun period basically gave him everything his soul would need for this incarnation.

He is currently in Moon-Mercury; he will likely suffer some disattachment in Ketu period. It seems to me there is an election coming up? Moon Venus will also be a bad time for his reputation. Some scandal is highly likely.

A search of his biographical timeline shows us the following:

He was eldest child with two younger brothers. One dies in an avalanche while skiing in 1998 (Venus Jupiter). He also received his second BA, this time in Education. He completed his first degree in literature in 1994 (Venus Rahu).

His parents divorced in April 1984 (Ketu Jupiter). He married a childhood friend in May 2005 (Venus mercury). His children were born Oct 2007 (Sun Mars); February 2009 (Sun Jupiter); and February 2014 (Moon Mars). His father does in 2000 (Venus Saturn) and the eulogy gained great attraction.

He started an engineering degree in 2002 (Venus Saturn or Venus Mercury) but did not finish. It seems reasonable that he likely quit in Venus Ketu period.

In 2007 he stared in a CBC series and also gained a liberal nomination. This covered the whole early part of Sun period (Sun sun; sun moon, sun mars).

In 2012 he had his most famous boxing match against another elected official for charity and won that match easily (Sun Venus).

When Moon period started in 2013 he was elected leader of the liberal party and in Moon Jupiter period of 2015 was elected Prime Minister of Canada. He published a book in the gap year, 2014 (moon mars or moon Rahu), about being the son of the Prime Minister.

Remedial measures, Meditation and the 12th house

One of the most important things we have to keep in mind when we are offering remedies is: Will the client follow the remedy? No matter how good the medicine might work, it’s useless if the client will not follow it. But if we can find remedies that the client understands and has faith in, then they will be much better served, even by an inferior remedy.

I will discuss some of the common remedies and how we can make them suitable for the individual who is in front of us looking for ways to improve their life.

A complete practice of yoga, tantra and kriya with complete devotion in God (otherwise known as ones own infinite nature) is the best remedy for anyone to improve the quality and quantity of their life. However, not everyone is equally inclined and it would be a pretty boring world if we were. With such a wonderful diversity of humans wandering this earth, there is an equally diverse amount of remedial measures; none of which are created equally for everyone.

The secret to the efficacy of any remedy come from the the faith that it will work along with the dedication to following the prescribed activity (resonance). The faith comes from within; from our knowledge and beliefs and how well they match with with the remedy and/or the healer. Faith as understood here is not the blind faith of dogmatism; faith is rather built up thru clear discrimination & personal experience. Faith come only after we have done everything we can for ourselves. We give 100% of ourselves (the combined powers of the body, mind & spirit) and and in return we gain faith. Every spiritual path teaches that if we give everything we have as individuals, then we will be given this whole universe. This teaching does not refer to our material possessions, what we have on the outside, but rather to our internal reality. To receive such blessings we need to focus our will: 100%; focus our knowledge: 100% & focus our activity: 100%. If one is capable of such one-pointed focus then they have already learned that material wealth is actually immaterial.

This principle applies to all healing and all remedies, not just esoteric remedies of yoga and astrology. If you do not have faith and follow thru with your doctors prescription it is not likely to work for you any better than not doing your yoga practices. Research into surgery also suggests that the effectiveness of the procedure has as much to do with the individual on the operating table as it does with the technique the, surgeon or the surgery. Whatever remedy we are given we have to follow it correctly. In order to do this we have to have faith in the remedy, combined with the discrimination that allows us to have faith in the doctor or astrologer who is prescribing the remedy; to say nothing about having faith in our own ability to heal and to change.

Meditation

The Yoga Sutras by Patanjali are really more about what we call meditation and less to do with what most people recognize as yoga these days. Of course meditation should be a central part of the yoga practice all the way thru, but you wouldn’t know that by attending yoga classes in the west that might set aside a few minutes for meditation at the beginning or the end of class.

Meditation is the one thing that scientist and spiritualists can agree on to improve the quality and quantity of ones life. Of course there is not one correct way to meditate. Even within a single spiritual tradition there are numerous methods of meditation. Vijnana Bhairava list 112 different forms of meditation. These are the techniques that are typically accepted in Shaivist Tantra lineages. Buddhism has a whole lists of their own meditations, as does Christianity and Islam and the others.

With so many different forms of meditation going around, as Astrologers (Yoga teachers or Ayurvedic practitioners) we need to be able to offer our clients more direction than merely telling them to meditate. We have to be able to direct them along that path of meditation and suggest ways they might follow for the greatest success in their meditation practice. We might also give them some idea as to what they might expect and experience when they begin meditation practice. Of course, if they have a heavily afflicted 12th house they might want ensure that they have they proper support and atmosphere before beginning their meditation practice as they are sure to face difficulties.

Meditation and Charitable Remedies for the 12th House

The 12th house is the voice of our ancestors, our subconscious mind, our meditation and the kind of sanctuary or enclosure we are most comfortable. 12th house describes our sleep, our bedroom behaviour, how we are behind closed doors & and how we retreat from the world. This is were we de-materialize in order to connect with parallel worlds. We get loss, liberation & moksha in the 12th house.

When I write about meditation in the 12th house I am very specifically referring to that meditation which allows for spiritual liberation. Those who have a strong focus on material gain in life might find it easier to offer charity to these 12th house spirits & rulers. I have included advice on using charitable donations to ease the difficulties of the the 12th house.

Sun

Sun influencing the 12th house will bring ones personal creativity into the back room. Meditation can be very good for these people as the Sun in 12th often relates with lower self esteem in the public realm, but allows their creative intelligence to shine in private sanctuary spaces (in their bedroom; in the ashram). On the other hand, Sun in 12th suggest a diminished ego which can be beneficial for sequestered spiritual life (ashram life). If Sun is well placed here they can attain a central place in the ashram or monastery. They are best left alone for meditation; a super star in their own world. One the other hand, the Sun can cause one to feel some pressure to meditate which can disrupt the meditative experience. Meditation of the universal self or the universal egoity can be effective; trataka or other kinds of one pointed focus (especially on a candle flame or the Sun). One might also want to look into the morning ritual of agni-hotra. Sunrise sun salutations can also be very good. One should also be aware of their contact with the ground and push into it to stand tall or sit tall. Essentially we want our losses to go to the Sun in beneficial ways.

Charity should be offered to leadership events and training, government sponsored programs, charitable events sponsored by ones boss, burn wards of the hospital.

Moon

Moon in 12th house can give occasional meditation, but their practice will be heavily influenced by the movement (waxing & waning) of the moon. Where the moon sits is where we are comfortable so these people are typically comfortable in an ashram setting, foreign place, or in some kind of seclusion. So even if they are not making meditation they will very likely be fairly reflective people and may go away from their family. They will likely have a longing for greater (emotional) connection with their subconscious mind, their ancestral past, and those activities which liberate. This can be quite a spiritual placement if other indications point that way. Meditation on or near water can be very good. One may wish to mediate upon the mother goddesses. Reflection upon ones own emotions can also be a beneficial meditation. It might be difficult to follow a single meditative practice as one will more likely follow their emotions in this area of their lives.

Charity by time or money should go toward orphanages (especially for young girls), parenting programs, cultural events, building wells or other methods of providing safe, clean drinking water as well as programs that focus on the removal or cleaning of wastewater (especially Moon in Scorpio in the 12th) or providing comfort to foreigners.

Mars

Mars is typically the last planet we think about when we think meditation. He’s energy can be difficult to work with in classical sitting meditations. Mars in the 12th house gets moksha thru movement and action and overcoming some challenge; not exactly what you think of when you think about meditation, but Mars can get very nice repose/liberation after conquering some inner battle or competition. Mars likes to feel like he’s risen to the challenge and overcome. Many of the Yogis I work with in Canada have some Mars influence on 12th house combining movement with meditation. His aspect on the 3rd house from here gives courage & on 6th house allows them to take action (especially exercise) to overcome their obstacles. Of course, Mars must be a beneficial planet in their chart.

Modern postural yoga isn’t the only way to meditate with Mars influencing the 12th house. Walking meditation in a scene set by the sign in the 12th house can also be very good. Jupiter’s aspect can help by giving Mars something to believe in, and in some conditions an aspect from the Moon can cool him. Moon and Mars in angles from each other are said to be very powerful spiritual placement. (Especially in women, but men too, Moon in 6th can give foreign husband and foreign lovers.)

Unless Saturn is involved somehow, Mars will not like to follow the same practice all the time which is why a Jupiter aspect can keep Mars from wasting too much time roaming; he likes both direct action (Aries) and in-direct action (Scorpio). He works best within a structured environment (Capricorn) to focus his drive.

Trekking in the areas indicated by rasi can be very beneficial as can retreat centres which offer various activities (determined by rasi, as well as aspecting and tenanting graha). If this Mars tenants the 12th or the 6th house, this person may appreciate the healing benefits of yoga and exercise. Mars in the 9th house aspects the 12th house which can make a spiritual warrior willing to fight for their beliefs. The 9th house will bring some influence of the wisdom culture into their action even in Jupiter is not involved.

Those with Mars in the 12th can connect to their sense of loss and their own subconscious motivations by offering time or money to charities involved with sports, blood banks, engineering projects; one might alos like to give their time cooking for charitable purposes and perhaps one will even come to manage charities. With a well placed Mars in the 12th house one can become very active in charitable events. One may offer their charitable time as a coach or offer donations to support coaches.

Mercury

Mercury is a communicator. If other things point towards meditation Mercury in the 12th house will talk (communicate) about meditation and alternative realities as the voice from the beyond, but the content of Mercury’s communication is based on the influences upon him rather than his own initiative. This Mercury typically has easy access to the subconscious mind which can be beneficial if those spirits from parallel lives are benefic; but if this is not the case and Mercury is experiencing heavy affliction here then one might just as likely go crazy. From a meditation perspective Mercury likes logical analysis, studying, reading, listening when he’s in the 12th house sanctuary space. Mantra meditation might be effective. Concentration, contemplation, or systematically going over the 4, 11, 25 or 36 tattva in ones mind will bring a strong 12th house Mercury great satisfaction, mental peace and moksha. Journaling can also be very freeing for this Mercury

Those with Mercury in the 12th house should offer much support for educational opportunities and to students; summer camps or other types of education which can be fun and games. One should also offer their time and money to literacy programs.

Jupiter

Jupiter’s influence on the 12th house will expand our mind and one will seek and gain wisdom thru meditation. This is an excellent placement for meditation and spiritual life. If this Jupiter is in the 8th house, aspecting the 12th, one may follow tantric techniques of meditation (or as a means to access parallel lives, alternate realities, or other dimensions or lokas). The native may undergo numerous changes in life as many different ancestor guides seek to support deep transformative healing. When Jupiter aspects the 12th house from the 4th house one gets abundant comforts including those of meditative sanctuary. They are likely to have a strong foundation of humanistic or spiritual education. A strong Jupiter in 12th can lead to wisdom priestly roles in the ashram. They will seek moksha thru wisdom, knowledge & expansion. As strong Jupiter here is not likely to need much direction for meditation as their sense of discrimination will be especially strong in this area of their lives.

Those with Jupiter in the 12th house are generally very charitable and have a natural affinity for ashrams, monasteries and those secluded places that emphasis higher spiritual knowledge. These people are often jnana yogis who use knowledge as their means of liberation. They should offer their time and money to support higher education, spiritual events, children, gurus. These people might like to give directly to a church or religious institution or anything that expands the horizons of young impressionable minds.

Venus

Venus in the 12th house will give us a great appreciation for all things foreign and meditative. They will like beautiful ashrams or quite often prefer more of a spa/resort style retreat. They will likely seek moksha thru enjoyment. For meditation it’s advised that one sets a very nicely decorated room set aside for this purpose. Quartz and crystal might also prove beneficial allowing the mind to find release, flowers fine silks and fine art will also bring a soothing influence to the 12th house sub-conscious mind influenced by Venus. Visualization of clear bright light, imaginative vision quests, practices of loving compassion surrounded by beautiful things and feeling oneself to be beautiful; perfumed and all of that. The key to the the 12th house is to give all of this to god and not seek to gain by it in any way. And by gain I mean not only money, but also attention to ourselves by doing these things publicly or talking about our 12th house experiences or sadhana. What happens when we talk the 12th house and seek gain or reputation thru them? We loose energy, vital force. We want to leave our losses behind us, the more we carry them with us the more we are lost to ourselves. But unless the 12th house owner is in the 12th house, we will carry those losses with us somewhere but this is quite another topic.

One with Venus influenceing the 12th house can connect to the depths of the house by offering time or money to organizations for the advancement of women’s rights, artistic ventures (especially music and harmony), family values, genetic research, language programs, negotiations, or any other mission which is to bring people together. Venus rules over the image we project and bringing harmony to the environment she influences. She will like it if we meditate on our senses to give us greater sensitivity and awareness to our experience of them

Saturn

A benefic Saturn influencing the 12th house will allow one to most smoothly burn their meditative karma in a cold, dry place; isolated and alone; sitting for long periods. Saturn’s influence on the 12th house can be very nice for meditation and long periods of silence and stillness. A more troublesome Saturn influencing the 12th house can restrict one from the sort of sanctuary one needs for meditation. They may not have adequate alone time for such practices. For example, Saturn in the 10th house aspecting the 12th house the native may stay up late working and may be the last one to leave the office.

If Saturn is in the 6th house aspecting the 12th house, the worry and tension of life’s obstacles and limitations may keep one up at night and disturb their sleep. Saturn also aspects the 12th house from the 3rd house, which can be nice for group meditation. Saturn’s influence on a person’s 12th house can exert a bit of pressure as that inner voice repeats a narrative of scarcity and restriction. However, this 10th aspect on the 12th house can also make one feel like they have some responsibility for the groups meditative or retreat experience. If Saturn is in the 12th house aspecting the 6th, then one’s own inner voice tends to victimize the native to some degree. On the other hand, this energy can be very successfully to put to use in a ministry of service in foreign lands or isolated ashram or retreat centres for which the rasi, aspecting or tenanting graha will specify.

Saturn promotes renunciation, sacrifice for higher cause, stillness, patience, commitment. He likes his space to be simple and cool with dark blues and purples. He is cautious and slow to change and has an appreciation for structure, repetition like mantra and japa (some Venus influence on such a Saturn can give Hare-Krishna or other kirtan or bhajan paths that are harmonious structured & repetitive), repeat in the same practice over and over again. With positive Mars influence on Saturn you and everything well placed you can get a Ashtanga Yogi with a very structured and challenging practice. These two can become very mechanical; for better of worse.

Saturn generally likes a socially approved practice (Capricorn) or even taking retreat with large groups (Aquarius). If we consider those who have Pisces rising, this puts Aquarius in the 12th house. Pisces lagna may self identify with Pisces/12th house things, so when they go to their 12th house retreats and meditative sanctuaries they may do so in a way that connects them with a large interlocking network and they are likely to occasionally get together for special retreat events including meditation that allows that to harness the group intention and energy. They will seek moksha thru restriction, renunciation & cold harsh structure. Although sitting in meditation may come naturally; access to the subconscious mind will likely take time and technique. There may be many delays, restrictions and setback in ones meditative path; but commitment here will produce results.

Saturn in the 12th will give you a service or manual labour role at the ashram; gardening perhaps. Mars and Saturn together can give a craftsman of some kind, but it has to be a pretty special arrangement between these two to in the 12th house to bring you to an Ashram as they would more likely find less wholesome means of enjoying themselves behind closed doors.

One should offer charitable donations to the elderly, the crippled, labourers, race relations or those organizations whose mission relates with providing structure or administration.

Concluding Remarks

The 12th house can a be a difficult house to remedy because of the inherent loss of connection or control we feel here as our ancestral spirits seek to impose their agenda on us. We appear to be living in a particular time and place, but the deeper truth is that all times, places and dimensions are co-existing simultaneously and we can see the overlap most clearly thru the 12th house. The remedies for this house are therefore to help us feel empowered in those areas where our power (vital force) is being drained.

The Dussthana houses 6, 8 & 12 the areas where we need to be most diligent in releasing our expectations 1. to be appreciated for our activity (6th house), 2. that as individuals we are in control of our destiny (8th house), and 3. that material gain is meaningful (12th house). Every house, planet & sign in astrology is trying to show us the deeper reality of our spiritual nature. These three houses are the more difficult task-masters: loss of autonomy, loss of control, and loss of everything. So, we learn to assert ourselves in some way; we become drawn into looking more deeply into life allowing us to make changes that will allow us greater control over our destiny (9th house spirituality is the wealth of our 8th house research as we have to modify our beliefs to match that new knowledge). The 12th house, our meditative, subconscious mind is the creative expression of the 8th house research into the depths, as well as the place where are beliefs are most comfortable. Whenever we think we have nothing left to give the 12th house shows us where we did indeed still something left to give. In this way we realize the value of what we have gained in this life. Or to put it another way, the true value of all of our hopes and profits and network connections will be seen by how much we have to loose in the 12th house. The more we give of our time and energy and money and service, the more we will most certainly value what we have earned thru the 11th house.

We are our own greatest obstacle to change (the 1st house is 6th from 8th), but we (our 1st house body and personality) is the creative expression of our beliefs (5th from 9th). Our beliefs shine thru our 1st house; they take to the stage, they play. Life is but a play of our beliefs; a speculation of faith. In other words, this life is nothing but the play of Lord Shiva or which ever name or silence you give to God.
