Common signs denote unsuccessful in ambition, unfavourable for marriage, relatives and superiors. This Saturn is favourable in Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Pisces; in other signs it’s bad. Absence of progeny is seen if in Gemini, Leo, Sagittarius. Off-spring will be there if in other signs, but there may be trouble with sons. Most of life is full of struggle — it may be due to friends, family or anybody.”

They gain from the death of their friends, siblings, father. It might sometimes feel like everyone is dying around them. Saturn’ s aspect to the ascendant makes sure they are very aware of their mortality. Their nerves are shot and they are sure to have some kind of nervous condition.

David Eggers: Saturn conjunct Mars, aspected by Jupiter & Ketu. His elder sister studied Law at UCLA but killed herself shortly after his autobiographical book the family trials came out.

Patrice Alegre: Saturn conjunct Moon, aspected by Jupiter. Mars in Gemini. Venus Saturn 1987 – 1990: Conducted at least seven brutal rapes and murders. He would often begin by trying to seduce them, but when they didn’t reciprocate rape and strangle them to death. His first victim was a co-worker on Feb. 21, 1989 (Venus Saturn Mars). Jan 25, 1990 another girl. He is also suspected of a Sept. 23 rape/murder. Sun Saturn 1997: This was a manic period for him. In March he made a misstep and didn’’t kill the victim, allowing here to report the incident to police. On June 14 he offered his handyman services to a single mother in exchange for board: four days later he raped and strangled her. On September 4 he used the same ploy on another woman. On Nov. 2 he set the woman’s house on fire afterwards. He was arrested shortly after and charged with 6 counts of murder and 5 counts of rape. One psychologist put forward a theory of “displaced matricide” for his behaviour; it’s likely he suffered sexual abuse from his mother. He was certainly a psychopath and a malignant narcissist. One can only imagine what he himself likely went through during his own Ketu Saturn dasha when he was only a child.

Will have a negative effect on friendships and one may be stabbed in the back or deceived by friends. Friends will likely come from the underclasses, friends from work, old friends. Father can be a strong and unfair disciplinarian which may cause excessive bitterness.

Rutherford Hayes: Saturn aspected by Mercury; Mars in Scorpio. His father was a storekeeper who died 10 weeks before Rutherford was born; his mother never remarried. His mother’s younger brother took became a father figure to him. Abolitionist President of the USA. The election he won was heavily contested. As promised, this Saturn did quite well for him since Mars is in his own 6th house. His friendships with blacks was not acceptable to the wider audience, but it’s also what got him elected. He was defending refugee slaves in court. Saturn Mahadasha Dec. 1868 – Dec. 1887: First Elected position was 1868 in Ohio state legislature. He fought for universal suffrage and the ratification of the 15th amendment in Ohio. President from 1877 – 1881 but due to the agreement made that awarded him the presidency he could not run for a second term. He sought to retire from public life in 1872. In 1873 stock panic, his uncle died and the family moved. Oct. 12, 1875 he was again elected as Governor of Ohio. He was later elected leader of the Federal Republican Party and ran in the 1876 election, but many irregularities and a close election forced the formation of an election commission to decide the fate of 20 districts. The ended up awarding all 20 to Hayes, elevating him to President on March 2, 1877, 04:10 by a margin of 185 – 184. Democrats never accepted the election results and he was referred to as ‘Rutherfraud’ for the next four years. July 1877, rail workers walked off the job trigger the Great railway strike. He sent the army in to quell the strike and bring order. He reformed the civil service by conduction exams for government positions rather than people being appointed based on political affiliation. It wasn’t until July 1878 that he was able to remove those appointed cilvil servant bosses who resisted the reform. Many Chinese were flooding into America at this time, and they were often blamed for the economic woes caused by the Panic of 1873 & The Great Railway Stick seemed to have given people an excuse to attack the Chinese. He also had to deal with several Indian uprising due to detrimental government policy and land use issues. September 1880, he began a 71 day tour of the Western USA. He kept the White House alcohol free and did not serve alcohol to guest. He declined to seek re-election in 1880. (See Saturn 12th from Moon.)

Waldemar Rosler: Saturn conjunct Sun & Venus; no aspects. Mars in Gemini. Illustrator, painter, lithographer. Died of apparent suicide at age 37. He was a drafted into the war, worked as an administrative officer but did not support the nazis. It’s likely he tried to undermine them and may have been killed. (See Saturn in 12th from Moon.)

Vincent van Gogh: Probably bi-polar. He died by a self inflicted gunshot wound to the abdomen. It’s also possible that he was accidentally shot by a friend of his. His Sun Saturn period went from 1884 – 1885. This was an especially productive period for his art, though due to the dark somber tones it was not successful. It was likely in this period that he painted the “Potato Eaters.” This debilitated Saturn can give friends in low places. He had an older brother who was also given the name Vincent, but it was a still-birth. 1874 – 1877 was Venus Saturn Period. It began in the summer while he was living in London as an art dealer. He returned home after being rejected by his landladies daughter. His resentment for the material world was building and he was falling-out of favour with the art business which he felt commodified art too much. He got a job transfer to Paris, but was dismissed from his job soon after. He then took an unpaid teaching job but was not offered a paid. (See Saturn 6th house.)

Alexander Fleming: Saturn has no conjunctions; no aspects. Mars in Taurus. Biologist, penicillin. Died before Saturn Mahadasha. (See Saturn 6th from Moon.)

Darren Brown: Saturn aspected by Ketu. Mars in Scorpio. Mentalist, illusionist. First years of life were Saturn period. (See Saturn 2nd from Moon.)
