Current and future Transits discussed

Transits and any other type of chart overlays we do upon our own charts can be done from any significant planet or house in our chart: ascendant moon, atma karaka, dasha lord, Navamsha, karakamsha and some other possibilities like raja yogas or if there are several significant planets in one house.

All these secondary considerations is what makes clear that we are extremely complex in our individuality. As we go thru each significant placement in our chart we can’t help but get a sense of how huge we are. Everything is in there somehow, everything in this world, the depth of astrology – of this being – is beyond the grasp of any level of mind.

With this said, I guess I’ll offer my two cents on the Transits going happening for the next year.

Saturn and Ketu have been together in Sagittarius for several month so . Most astrologers are quaking at the thought of these two planets coming together. Saturn, the cold hard slow and old taskmaster is living with the nebulous, scattered, numb, ambivalent, ancient wandering saint.

It puts me in mind of the Karate kid. An excellent time to learn a deep spiritual disciplined spiritual surrender. It almost a kind of shamanism that suggest of following scattered set of rules.

I have written other articles about the history of this combination in Sagittarius: the clash of empires and the destruction of church rule in society. Refugees and changing social conditions; a precursor time to globalization; legislated land thefts justified thru humanitarian intervention.

If we think of Ketu in Sagittarius we think of doctrine (sag) being scattered (ketu). But this scattering can happen in different ways. The doctrine/ideology might indeed remain intact and spread over the world like a nebulous cloud, or the doctrine might itself become fragmented as it surrenders to cosmic forces that are beyond the reach of even the greatest philosophies.

When we look at conjunction it can be difficult to understand which planet will have the upper hand. Some people say that the lower degree planet has power, other suggest looking at the bala (strength) totals is more important. Certainly when we consider the transit effects on our charts we also have to intimately know their strength and disposition in our own chart.

Saturn is commonly understood to the law, the laws of nature, hard irrefutable science. Ketu doesn’t care. He may not be as actively breaking the rulea like his brother Rahu who is ruled by an insatiable ambition, but Ketu’s ambivalence can be equally problematic thru not even recognizing Saturn’s Law.

With this combination it’s equally likely to get someone who is heavily repressed by the law, so much so that they become kind of numb to it.

When I think of these planets together I think of a cloud of dust, or a frost cloud. Not the think oily smoke of Rahu, but the almost luminous mist catching the light like magic.

The spiritual vibration will be strong; but one might also need to have a strong spiritual perspective to handle it. Saturn will bring out the practical truths of beliefs; he will not let us hide from that reality.

Jupiter came into Sagittarius but quickly turn around again. The fire at the great cathedral happened while he was just in the door to Sagittarius – Mula Nakshatra; a constellation famous for calamity. Jupiter will be coming back to this combination by autumn.

Of course we all think of Jupiter benevolence and broad minded universality perspective and surely he will provide some lessons of higher knowledge, but he will also provide lubrication for the creative acts of these two malefics (Saturn and Ketu). Jupiter influences fat in the system. And ideology of fear. He will try make a doctrine from Saturn and Ketu. Jupiter expands things and multiplied them so father figures, gurus, priests, mentors, philosophers could become almost unbearably many. For those with a strong spiritual direction in life this could again be a very opportune time

There are many ways of looking at the signs and houses of a chart. When we thing if Sagittarius (the ninth sign) we can also consider its placements from the other sign as well as its house place meant in our chart.

Sagittarius is in the sixth house from the 4th house. This can bring disputes over borders and threats to the old ways of settled cultures. Everyone extolled the virtues of the faith, philosophy and higher knowledge offered by Sagittarius, but few consider the destabilizing effect this can have on our home culture, comfort and the predictable/habitual rhythms of life.

The 9th sign can be both a shock to our family values as well as showing us the unexpected consequences of the values that have been past down to us.

By the new year (2020), we will find a party going on in Sagittarius; or what the astrologers call a planetary war. The wining and kissing planted will change as re transit moves so there is no point to try to declare a winner; that will depend on ones own chart and the blessing that god bestows on each of us to carry us thru this life. Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn and Ketu will all be there; it will be quite a wild party most certainly. If we can be present as witness, as the fly on the wall, all will be well; but if we think to get our egos involved then most certainly we will find argument with such a broad array or characters.

I have said little about Rahu up till now and he’ll be in Gemini, the sign of communication, media, information, younger brothers, small groups, short travels/commutes, and arm.

Arms are nice, they allow us to reach out to the world, to grasp things and share them. Arms are also what we call our weapons, which also allow us to reach out to the world in a more sinister way; we also use them to send messages. Rahu likes this kind of thing; his ambition knows no bounds. You may not be surprised that we have only seen the tip of the “fake news” iceberg. Rahu will certainly make all of this even more fully apparent over the next year and a half of his transit thru Gemini. This Rahu can be good for foreign correspondence, international journalism; he can also give a dirty mentality to the significations of the house he’s in or the house that he is third from.

It’s likely that Ketu will be watching Rahu with fascination; completely forgetting himself. This is what makes fake news so dangerous, it can take us far from our try beliefs and cause us to do things that we would typically find unconscionable.

As always, it’s a good time for surrender the god aand seek a deeper and more pristine truth inside of ourselves. Anything else is just suffering the loving wrath of Nirriti; goddess of the earth element.

2019 horoscope: Jupiter in Scorpio; Saturn & Ketu in Sagittarius; Rahu in Gemini.

As we change the calendar Jupiter is midpoint of Scorpio and Saturn is midpoint of Sagittarius. Rahu and Ketu are preparing to change signs. Ketu will enter Sagittarius with Saturn, and Rahu will go into Gemini.

Jupiter is Scorpio will bring an increase of wealth from drilling and diving. There might be some new knowledge from the depths. This placement favours academic research. Astrological and occult knowledge is likely to be abundant, but it’s not a favourable place for religious dogma which may get revealed. And it favours such revelation and redemption of mankind.

Jupiter in scorpio favours the water element with abundance, though it may also set off emergency situations due to congestion caused by that abundance.

Saturn is in Sagittarius with Ketu and they will be conjunct around May 20. The last time this happened was about 150 years ago when Bismarck Marched on Paris and unified the German Empire. The British colonies (and ex-colonies) all put forward various versions of the Indian Act in order to legalize the theft of their land and make the people slaves of the state. This is what empires do. A massive uprising by muslims in China sent waves of refugees to Russia. Many Chinese were immigrating to North America in what was described as caravans. Racial violence was no less than today. Interestingly enough this was around the same time that American naval ships visited isolationist Korea (who were of course one in those days). Some significant earthquakes and volcanos also erupted around February 1871.

Saturn and Ketu in Sagittarius can give atheism or shamanism depending on who is stronger. Empires apply the cold hard law to ones belief. We are still suffering by Prussian education systems designed to give belief in cold hard reality rather than allowing our mind to truly expand in a humanistic way. Ketu scatters that belief so that one suffers not only from cold, hard and punitive dogma of the empire, but also by the indifference, scattered, incoherent ideology that get repeated.

1871 was a difficult year for priests and people of wisdom as they would have felt the fear of Saturn and complete instability of Ketu. With the institution of the church broken they would have been dispersed, their earning where severely restricted, and there would have been some isolation.

We can expect similar results in 2019. Higher knowledge will be restricted, network connections will be limited, public assembly will be regulated. There may be a greater number of chronic complaint.

Rahu in Gemini brings an imposter into the messages and announcements. Gemini signifies arms and lungs. So there will be increased air pollution. And this position increases the likelihood that there will be use of unconventional arms or weapons.

This position of Rahu and Ketu go against dharma. It’s typically a material placement. Good for gain and getting. What you want, rahu’s mentality is essentially selfish, like a starving man who can not control himself. Typically a low caste or outcaste mentality. Greed, sexual desire, and unfair competition amongst brothers and teammates.

2017-18 Transit predictions for Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces

Meheshwar

Sagittarius

Sagittarius natives will have Saturn transiting their first house, this is well known to age a person, or, at least, make them appear older as they struggle with life’s responsibilities. Saturn in the first house while speed up the aging process of the body while causing delay in most other areas. You could find yourself having to take responsibility for younger siblings, marriage or business partners, and job. Saturn’s aspect on the 10th house can bring greater responsibility and more work hours (possibly unpaid overtime) in the career. Ketu is also aspecting the 10th house suggesting that work can be scattered and inconsistent; one should also be wary of any improper activity that could mar one’s reputation in society during this period. Saturn’s aspect to the 7th house can delay the signing of new contracts while giving durability to those contracts and deals which are already in place. From a relationship[p point of view, this Saturn will be better for those who are already married rather than those seeking a marriage relationship. Ketu in the second house can be a detriment to savings and the family assets. The owner of the second house in the first house (12th from 2nd) also suggests that you may be separated from your family or suffer the loss of a family member. Ketu is also aspecting the 6th house which can disperse and dispense with enemies and obstacles. This Ketu can also lead you into some kind of unusual work (unusual for you that is, but perhaps a common job by society standards. Rahu is in the 8th house, which can bring a sense of wandering whether the wandering is physical travel overseas, or perhaps merely emotional and/or intellectual wandering (this will depend on the significations of ones own natal chart). In any case, this wandering by Rahu is very likely to wander some occult, mysticism or astrology. This Rahu also aspects the 12th house which can be good for meditation and/or travel; some kind of isolating activity in any case. Rahu in Cancer aspecting the 4th house can bring a sense of hyper vigilance, misplaced defensiveness, and and emotional roller-coaster in general. Jupiter is giving his blessing your profits and gains which are likely to diversify as you find more sources. Guru is also very well placed for expanding your friends circle; friends and especially older brothers can do very well in this period, though they are also likely to face some obstacles. This is a great period to display you most noble qualities as you expand your efforts to get what you want in life while following the path of righteousness. This Jupiter c an also be very good for connecting with others, business owners, contract makers (or maintainers) and people of the opposite sex.

Capricorn

Ketu is in the 1str house for Capricorn natives. This Ketu can make a person feel a little scattered which is not likely to be beneficial for students or those who’s work involved productivity. In a creative aspect, this can be an interesting and potentially ground-breaking period as new ideas and potentially new talents are unleashed. This period may also be marked by a change in spiritual beliefs and practices that is likely to have roots in your past life. Capricorn parents could face some difficulties with their children in this period as the unexpected arises. Rahu is in the 7th house which can make it a little difficult to connect with your spouse as they become more defensive than usual. It’s possible that this period could bring some misplaced jealousy on your part, so be careful that this does not overtly affect your relationship. Rahu in the 7th house is likely to bring new contracts, connections and partners into your life (or at least, most certainly, a strong desire for such connections. This Rahu can, however, be very materialistic as is glosses over this image of things without looking too deeply into the heart of the matter (or the person); therefore, connections which are begun in this period can also be lost again before Rahu moves into Gemini. You may also find yourself seeking greater gain or profit thru the influence of Rahu. You might find that your efforts flow from an insatiable hunger in this time. Jupiter is in the 10th house which, like like Saturn in the 10th house, can bring more work and more responsibility, but in Jupiter’s the income and respect is also likely to increase proportionally. You might find people relying one you for advice. This can be a good time for increased savings, as well as diversifying ones valued collections. The family can prosper in this time, but so too can ones enemies and obstacles, though you are sure to receive good advice or some kind of good luck that will help you to overcome both obstacles and enemies. Saturn is in the 12th house suggesting that you are likely to pinch your pennies thru this transit. Saturn in the 12 reduces expenditure as well as disturbing ones sleep and other pleasures of the bed. The combination of both Saturn and Jupiter aspecting the 2nd house can be very good for savings and as the responsible attitude in spending will match that of saving. This Saturn Jupiter combination aspecting the 6th house can cause problems over time as healing and seeking help could be delayed. But as I said, Jupiter will offer blessing in this area of life. Saturn is also aspecting your 9th house which can be excellent for developing some kind of experiential personal beliefs. This can also make one quite obstinate and stubborn in following orthodox or outdated beliefs. I don not expect this to be a period of fast luck. Some call this kind of luck, “hard luck.” Luck is not missing, nor is bad, just a bit slow and hard.

Aquarius

Aquarius natives have Rahu transiting their 6th house bring a strong sense of urgency for overcoming enemies and obstacles. You may be seeking a second job or more hours at work to do this. Some “creative” resume building could be used for such ends, but what is given by Rahu is often taken away due to the unsustainable means of attainment. Jupiter is very well placed in the 9th house: Luck, education and a higher understanding of this world and your place in it will all find expansive expression in this period. Jupiter’s aspect to the first house can be good for health and may even add a bit of protective fat to the body. One might, however, find oneself sorting thru a variety of doctrines which can be overwhelming sometimes. This can also be a good time for ones father or guru, father, children and students as Jupiter will offer his benevolence and expansiveness to each of these areas of life. Saturn will be in the 11th house bringing his sense of delay to your profits. This can be a good position for wage earners as Saturn is suggestive of a certain regularity of income. One the other hand, if you are conduction your own business or are seeking other methods of gain, this Saturn can delay payment for work completed. Saturn and Jupiter both aspecting your 1st house can bring greater dignity and respect to your personality and this can also be good for health. Saturn’s aspect to your 8th house can, however, delay personal change and growth while also bring your focus to you responsibilities for your children and/or ongoing creative endeavours.

Pisces

Rahu is in the 5th house, which can bring a strong desire for children and one can be quite ruthless in this pursuit. Spiritual practices and creative endeavours can also find expression in this period, though you are very likely to go at these things on your own, or in your own way. Rahu’s aspect to the 9th house can bring a strong sense of independence in ones beliefs and you are likely to have no qualms about following your own path regardless of the consequences. Jupiter is in the 8th house which can be good for education as well as for obtaining some kind of confidential information or secret knowledge. You could also see an expansion of the home base as well as an increase in numbers of people living in the home. Jupiter’s aspect to the 12 house can be excellent of meditation, divination, ashram life, education spending, sleep, and other activities that are conducted in isolation; including bed pleasures. And since this Jupiter is aspecting the 2nd house as well as the 12th house, this period becomes a good opportunity for the purchase of big ticket home furnishings, assets that will build on the family prosperity, of other collections. Saturn is happy in the 10th house, bringing greater responsibility in to your career and public reputation. The 10th house is a house of our good works in society (karma bhava) and Saturn loves to work and take responsibility. Ketu is dispersing your profits as well as friendships, so look for changes in these areas. Long term prosperity is well fortified in this period so I don’t expect the dimished profits to be very disruptive in your life. Saturn will limit expenses to some degree (or perhaps he will merely draw out the expenses in a payment plan.

2017 -2018 Transit predictions for Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio: Saturn in Sagittarius, Jupiter in Libra, Rahu in Cancer & Ketu in Capricorn

img_0196.jpg

Leo

For Leo natives, Jupiter is giving his blessing to the Kama (desire) trine which can act as a multiplier, so desire could be strong in this period; though since it’s the Guru who giving his dristi to this trine, you are likely to conduct yourself honourably; due to which there is a very good chance of enlarging your fiends circle as well as you access to distributive networks. It could be good time for academics seeking publication or for crafts people who do work with their hands and those seeking job specific certifications. This could be a good period for Leo natives to gain from their relationships, negotiation settings or contracts, though Saturn in the 5th house will give strong resistance to risk taking (or ego based) behaviours. However, such caution could also be rewarded romantically or otherwise. Saturn is also giving his aspect to the houses of wealth (the 11th and 2nd) which can be restrictive due to ones deeper sense of responsibility to children, students, or ongoing creative outlets. The combined aspects of Saturn and ketu the the 2nd house can be both restrictive and dispursive bringing difficulty to ones savings, collections and even family values. However, it should also be noted that Ketu is generally does very good work for us in the 6th house. Debt could be eliminated and enemies and obstacles dispursed in a relatively painless way. Ketu in the 6th house occasionally signifies bankruptcy as well as new age healing techniques that could also be beneficial for you at this time. Ketu’s aspect to your 10th house suggest it could be a good time to change careers, or to solidify your reputation in some unusual field. Rahu in the 12th house can bring all kinds material expenditure, while bringing your focus to spirituality, meditation, dream space, and foreign travel. Keep in mind that this Rahu also likes sex and smoke, so it Leo natives might find themselves easily tempted to less wholesome secret activity.

Virgo

Virgo natives could face some health problems in this period as Saturn and Ketu both aspect your lagna. This could also be a very good time for gain of vehicles, land, wealth. First marriages could face some surprising developments, but Virgo natives in their second marriage find this period more agreeable. In regards to those health problems I mentioned, you could find some relief thru Ayurveda or other folk remedies. Although the same energy that makes such healing possible could also bring some measure of dispute into the home, with ones mother or parents in general. This is also not likely to be a good period for ones children as Ketu and Saturn are both in difficult placement for the 5th house. Ketu can also lead to a loss of faith thru mere neglect. Rahu will be in the 11th house which could cause you to question the true intentions behind some of your friendships, but this Rahu can be good for profit and gain as you seek some direction thru your partners. Partnerships are likely to have a very strong influence on you in this period as you also find yourself strongly motivated by profit.

Libra

Libra natives will gain many blessings by Jupiter’s transit thru lagna, however this Jupiter also gives strong indications for some kind of swelling or enlargement of the body or some part of the body. This is generally a protective covering of fat, but if it gets to be too much, this defensive mechanism can become a problem. Jupiter’s aspects to 5th, 7th, and 9th house can also be a boon for education and you may be relied upon for advice in this period. This can be an excellent time for the children of Libra natives as they are likely to gain in life as well as achieve some wish they have been working towards. Business negotiations and contracts could prove lucrative in this period, and your spouse is likely to benefit as well. However you could meet with difficulties in a couple of related areas of life. Bed pleasures are likely to be either non-existent or somehow traditionally unnatural, and your home life might be taken for granted or disturbed. Perhaps in the process of moving you will find yourself with multiple homes but unable to feel at home. Rahu in the 10th house can be a good driver for your career, though Rahu tends to overstep his bounds; this could suggest a temporary position. The difficulty is that you may not treat it like a temporary position and over spend during a brief period of wealth in such a way that you end up more greatly impoverished. Be careful with purchases of expensive assets. It’s also possible that you could inadvertently release some secrets that you were meant to hold.

Scorpio

Scorpio natives are likely to have some foreign connections in this time, either thru travel or study. Expenditure is likely to be high in this period, but you are likely to be enriched in other ways (education, spirituality, ashram, retreat). Jupiter is also signifies children and other forms of creative productivity which may run into so unexpected expenses. Savings is also likely to meet expenditure or perhaps you will gain prosperity thru foreign sources. Saturn can be good for antique collectors as well as gain of property. It could also be a period where you are asked to oversee the collections or savings of the family or others. And although you are likely to see some kind of expansion of the home environment either in the size of the home or the number of people who live there, you might also suffer under some new rules and regulations in the home environment. You will likely be relied upon to collect confidential information and you will handle that information responsibly as your prosperity in this period will be effected not only by confidential sources, but also from other secret knowledge that you have gathered throughout your life. You could gain by the masses, but it might only be pennies at a time. The extent of gain will be seen in your individual natal chart. However, be very careful with your friendships in this period as you are likely to come into contact with a variety of societies undesirables. You might find yourself cut off from your distributive networks and separated from younger siblings, and you could find it quite difficult to motivate yourself to take direct action to achieve your goals. If you are in a marriage relationship, some difficulties are indicated. Contracts and such things in general will not hold your attention for long. Rahu is giving great indication for higher knowledge and pilgrimage travel; there are strong indications that you might undergo some secretive, intense, mystical spiritual practice. Scorpio native might have to be very conscious about the feelings and presence of others in their life as this Rahu can give selfish tendencies.

2017 -2018 Transit predictions for Aries, Taurus, Gemini & Cancer: Saturn in Sagittarius, Jupiter in Libra, Rahu in Cancer & Ketu in Capricorn

T
The original photograph of the Sleeping Dog’s

So much has changed since my last post. I should appoligize for the delay and thank those of you who reminded me to update my transit predictions.

Saturn is in Sagittarius, Rahu and Ketu in Cancer and Capricorn respectively, and Jupiter is in Libra. The others are making their way more quickly. The Moon, as I write this, is only 3 degrees from exact conjunct with Rahu in Cancer (as I hit publish, this conjunction is exact). There is certain,y some relation between this Rahu in Cancer, the sign of home and defensive perimeters, and all of this independence movement in the world. Saturn’s aspect from Scorpio would have been acting as a somewhat restrictive force, but with Saturn’s movement to Sagittarius this restriction is removed. We will have to watch for Mars to make his way thru Sagittarius, Capricorn (March 7, 2018 & May 2, 2018 respectively until November 5, 2018) as well as his next pass thru his own sign of Aries (beginning Feb 5, 2019). I expect that it will be a particularly hot summer of 2018: heatwaves, drought, as well as the political situation internationally (war, independence movements, the refugee crisis, and every kind of sudden, unexpected and potentially explosive). As you read these horoscopes for each sign, try to keep the world in mind as much as you think about these in a personal way.

In any case:

Aries

Aries is the natural horoscope where the signs and the houses match. Aries natives will find themselves blessed by Jupiter’s aspect to ascendant. This can bring positive personal grow and prosperity that occasionally manifests itself on the belt-line. Guru’s aspects to the 11th house can bring multiple sources of profit and gain as well as expending ones hopes and friends circles. Considering this aspect is coming from the 7th house, Jupiter in Libra can be very good for business allowing for multiple partnerships and contracts. This multiplying effect in the 7th house is good for business, and positive for single people, but for marriage it can be inconvenient for those devoted to monogamy. However, since Jupiter owns the 12th house, all of these 7th house matters could merely be matters of the imagination or expenditure of our life force. Jupiter int he 7th house can be very good for personal motivation. It’s very likely you will find yourself in various situations where you have to look into yourself to discover the right and honest mode of action. Saturn’s aspect to the 3rd house could also cause several delays in your efforts due to wanting to act within the law while also maintaining your own personal sense of Justice as well. Saturn in the 9th house can bring hard luck materially, but spiritually, this Saturn can diminish our sense of greed, ego, and competitiveness (what the Bhagavad Gita calls the triple gates to hell) as well as bringing humility into our lives. The combination of Jupiter and Saturn aspecting the 11th house and the 3rd house is generally beneficial in our lives and the lives of our brothers, both younger and older. The 11th lord in the 9th house (11th from the 11th) is an auspicious placement as is the 9th lord in the 7th house (11th from 9th): gainful for brother, gainful for father, and potentially gain by luck for oneself.

Ketu and Saturn are sharing an aspect to Virgo in the 6th house but the nodes are otherwise acting without influence from the other slow moving planets. These aspects on the 6th house can suggest taking responsibility for ones own health as well as gaining some opportunity to do some kind of service or social work. You could find that your enemies and obstacles are dispersed and restricted thru this period. Rahu can increase your expenses and your impulses as well as personal sense of security. Rahu in the 4th hosue can, however, bring a false sense of security since the imposure might be inside your own home already. This Rahu can bring a change of residence and foreign travel and Saturn in the 9th can bring an arduous pilgrimage.

Taurus

Taurus natives are very likely to receive help and/or good advice to overcome their difficulties. This could very well come unearned or unexpected from a friend or thru mysticism or occult means. Jupiter can bring gains from difficult situations and enmity, but the gain does come with some pain. Jupiter’s 12th house aspect can signify hospital intervention, ashram, charity or even educational expenditures. Again, Jupiter comes with mixed blessings for Taurus natives. The mutual aspect of Saturn and Jupiter on the 10th house can be good for one’s career and public reputation, but you are very likely to have top work incredibly hard; possibly taking on extra work or extra duties or extra hours that you may, or may not, get pain for. Many of Jupiter’s lessons with be taught alongside Saturn thru this period; this is one reason for the mixed results. Saturn is actually yoga karaka planet for Taurus natives. Yoga karaka essentially means that Saturn is very likely to be the most influential planet for bringing good and lasting things into a persons life. He gets this title of Yoga karaka by virtue of his ownership of the 9th and 10th houses; commonly considered the 2 best houses of the chart; essentially ones dharma and ones Karma follow a similar path. As Saturn transits thru Sagittarius, Taurus natives could take a turn for the secretive, hidden, mysterious; a holder of shocking secrets that cannot be disclosed. It could be a good time to acquire assets that will add to your families prosperity, the nature of this prosperity will be determined by ones own chart. If you are in business, you could find yourself seeking to broaden you distributive network; perhaps you have some local product or service that you’d like offer to a broader regional, national or especially foreign clientele. Taurus natives are likely to seek fulfillment thru friend networks, negotiations, contracts and partnerships. Regardless of your success in these endeavours, fulfillment is rarely achieved by following Rahu. This can be a very materialistic placement for Rahu, or, at least your sense of motivation may be suspect. Ketu is in an excellent position to bring you into contact with some kind of new age spirituality and/or spiritual practice. For Taurus natives, Ketu in Capricorn can bring a unique twist to ones life and personality. It could be one of those periods in ones life that we look back on as being a little strange. Ketu in the 9th house can bring many blessings from our past lives.

Gemini

For Gemini natives, this could be a very good period for higher knowledge and education. Jupiter is blessing the 5th, 9th, 11th & 1st houses which can also be good for studentship, spiritual practices, gain of educated friends, as well as providing a broad base for profit. This can be a very good time for luck coincidences. Saturn in the 7th house can be very good for committed relationships, and taking responsibility for our agreements. This Saturn will be better for relationships that are already in progress since it’s likely to delay or restrict the forming of new contracts or partnerships. Jupiter can bring dating and romance in the 5th house, but Saturn effect will be felt in the negotiation/agreement making process. Jupiter will be giving some blessing to any risk taking activity, so I don’t suppose single people will shy from dating, nor, for that matter, will investors shy from risk taking. Jupiter in the 5th makes these kinds of things all about spreading it our; broadening; and expending the risk taking activity in order to diminish the risk. Jupiter does not jump into things impulsively and foolishly. Rahu is in the 2nd house which can be good for savings, assets and collections; but it can just as likely bring our ruin as we seek an image based on these things. Such a false image can be expensive and bring debt by Rahu’s 6th house aspect. Ketu in the 8th can lead to taking your secrets, dreams and those subtle signals from your ancestors for granted. There may be some disturbance in the home as ancestral spirits are disturbed; both repression and dispersal are possible. In any case, you are not likely to find much enjoyment in the home through this period. Since this home energy also connects with the mother, she might also face some difficulties in this period.

Cancer

Cancer natives will be dealing with Rahu in the 1st house. This period will be all about you; other people in your life will either have to toe the line or go away. This is not a good frame of mind for healthy, prosperous relationships. Ketu could throw all these past agreements to the wind which would likely have negative effect on friend circles and distributive networks. Younger brothers are likely to be adversely affected, of you could find yourself associating with (or making business with) criminal elements. However, this Rahu can also bring a profound spiritual experience, world travel, pilgrimage or some unique (and likely intense) spiritual; practice. This Rahu likes Rudra and Durga and these destructively powerful energies of the universe. Knowledge and productivity are likely to progress along these lines. Ketu, as I said, will enhance your feeling of isolation. If we look at all of this as well as Jupiter’s influence to he 12th house this becomes an especially potent time for spirituality, higher knowledge, travel, connecting with ancestor spirits and other experiences that will help to carry you into your future. Be wary of occasional lapses of judgment; be gentle on yourself. Jupiter can also enlarge your home from the 4th house; this could be a renovation or addition to the home structure itself, or it could be an increase in the number of people in the home (children, some family member coming to stay, or perhaps a new tenant or roommate). This sort of thing can sometimes be a little uncomfortable and put people a little on edge making them feel like some normal routine things now have to be completed under the cover of secrecy. Saturn in the 6th house can be beneficial for you as he gives a restrictive influence to your enemies and obstacles. However, the planet of service in the house of service will give you some service to perform in your life; such social service should be considered a great blessing in life.

2017 Transits for Libra (bonus article included)

The moon is full in debilitation in the second house for Libra natives while the second owner is in the 8th house from the 2nd (ie. The 9th house). Of course, both the moon and Mars are fast moving planets sop this is a very dynamic situation I’m writing about in this paragraph. In any case, Storage containers will be subject to damage at this time. This may suggest banking problems (though this kind of thing is more likely to be felt by Capricorn natives or the areas of he world rules by Capricorn since Ketu’s involvement is usually necessary to the some effect by the larger social/cultural/governmental structure under which we live. Some difficulties in the family may manifest in this mid-summer period. And Mars in the 9th house can bring legal problems. Ones father, gurus, or access to higher knowledge is likely to face difficulties unless one is following a technical or physical field of knowledge.

With Mars and Rahu aspecting the 3rd house Saturn, it could even be a good time to learn how to operate combustion machines, weapons, guns, or any kind of machine which is likely to produce heat of smoke or even, because Saturn is also involved, chemicals such a fertilizer and other reactive substances. This third house suggests all kinds of hard, improper, possibly illegal or unethical effort to get what you want. Since the owner of this 3rd house is in the 12th, there is suggestion that even these kinds of hard efforts may not be successful; or perhaps they merely go unnoticed due to their hidden nature (occurring at night or some place away from your home).

Saturn, considered alone in this 3rd house brings a responsible mindset that will have Libra natives working very consistently to get what they want. The social circle; the networking crowd is likely to be composed of the common man or perhaps foreign or people elder to you. Saturn’s aspect to the 9th house will further highlight this belief in the dignity of the common man. His aspect on the 5th house will reduce risk an look instead for the sure thing to come in. Saturn’s aspect on the 5th hose is generally not very good for children. But aspecting the 12th house (and with Jupiter occupying the 12th house by transit), this could be a good time for travel. Perhaps merely some short holiday considering Jupiter owns the 3rd house which related more with shorter trips ) or perhaps even longer commutes). Saturn is also 12th from his 4th house Capricorn which further suggest being away from home and long commutes. Jupiter’s aspect to the 4th house suggest some expansion of the home environment so perhaps there are some home renovations going on the necessitate staying away from the home for a period.

And speaking of Jupiter who is in the 12th house, this can be a good time for charitable or education expenses. However, Jupiter can also suggest a multitude of expenses in this time. Again, if we look at this very specific time period with Saturn and Mars both looking at the 12th house, there is very likely to be some wasteful expenditure and difficulty sleeping.

Jupiter alone in the 12th house can also help us to overcome our obstacles (6th house) thru extended visits to isolated places (hospitals, ashrams, prisons, retreats). Jupiter in 12th (especially as 3rd owner) can also suggest rather indulgent bed pleasures. He will do better here without Saturn’s restrictive aspect, though, since Saturn is a Yoga Karaka planet for Libra Natives, his restrictive aspect is also likely to be beneficial. The good or bad of a situation always depends on what we want (or what we think we want).

Rahu is in the 11th house affecting the Kama trikon (the desire trine. . Rahu loves this position. Desire is Rahu’s middle name, he knows how to achieve and consume and take more and more in. Of course, being a head without a body his appetite can be difficult to satiate. He can fulfill hopes and achieve great things, but he cannot be satisfied. As soon as one desire is fulfilled, he wants more. This relates to profit and gain, ones own effort will rarely be enough (since he aspects the 3rd house) and he will want very much to connect with others but may be blocked in this due to his own desire and greed which may be felt by more sensitive individuals unless Rahu is working very much in a higher (purer) level.

Ketu is in the 5th house, which can cut productivity and harm the children, but it can also act as a raja yoga karaka in the trinal house. Ketu being the least attached and sometimes called the most spiritual of planets can negate our own personality as well as our attachments to productivity and our traditional belief systems. This can be a good time to experiment with some new healing or spiritual modalities (new age, chakra cleanses, and many of these modern or post modern practices that are popular today).

2017 Libra Transits (second writing)

Libra natives can consider this a special bonus from Sleepingdogblog. I’ve accidentally written a second article for these same transits. This is also  good opportunity to see how differently a chart can be looked at. Every chart, every time is a whole new experience for met mind.

Jupiter is in 12th house Virgo bringing a variety of expenditure, some of it could be charitable, or perhaps relating to education, or even more likely, heath and other expenses to clear obstacles from your path. The strength of Jupiter’s influence on your 6th house suggests that you could go into debt over these expense. You might also find yourself more active in the night than is usual for you as Jupiter will have an expansive effect on these sorts of things.

In this particular period that has Saturn and Mars also looking at this 12th house Jupiter this could bring out some toxic circumstances late at night. Some wasteful expenditure is also likely due to these malefics.

Jupiter’s aspect on the 4th house can be good growth in the home by way of new members joining the family thru marriage or children. The home itself could also have material wealth added to it by purchase, or construction. (While Mars looks at this 4th house from the 9th house there will be ample opportunity for fighting in the home, however this will diminish as Mars moves to Cancer, by which time Ketu while be moving into your 4th house Capricorn. [I will be writing about the later part of the year soon.

Jupiter is also looking at your 8th house, which can be volatile this time of the year, since Sun makes his annual transit thru your 8th house Taurus. The own, Venus is lagging behind in the 7th house which could raise some relationship issues. Sudden news might not be good from any quarter, though Sun can bring a bit un unexpected gain, or perhaps you gain by keeping your own gain a secret. In any case, don’t expect your secrete to necessarily stay that way thru late summer and fall.

Saturn is in the 3rd house of effort, brothers, and courage. There could be fights with brothers, or their health could be bad in this period. You could stay away from home and there will be delays in your travels plans. However, between Saturn, Jupiter and Mars, this is a good time for travel to happen, it just might not be as smooth as we’d like. Saturn is affecting Ketu in the 5th house making this a good time for upgrading, or certification training; perhaps we some hand on apprenticeship type program. Science and technology will be at the forefront of your creative endeavors. Saturn’s owner and aspect of this 5th house suggests very safe investments and measured risks, succumbing, no doubt, to Ketu’s unpredictability. Though Saturn’s position in the 11th house from this 5th house suggests that your risk could be gainful.

The 9th house, the father, teachers, and higher knowledge is suffering thru this period. You may feel yourself that you’ve had to sacrifice a lot thru this Saturn transit. Knowledge is one thing, but without experience, how can we really know the conviction behind our beliefs?

Rahu in the 11th house. It cannot be said enough that Rahu loves the 11th house. It’s an uppachya house, ever on the increase, just like Rahu whose appetite is always growing. Never satisfied. Rahu in the 11th gives a wide variety of friends and many different ways of acquiring an income. He brings a lot of focus into how to make profit; the 11th house knows how to respond to being objectified. Objects will be forthcoming.

Rahu is also looking at the 7th house, which is also positively influenced to be a good time for relationships, marriage (especially for Libra men since Venus is in this 7th house), contracts, or any kind of negotiation. Of course you have to be careful of this Venus raising some unexpected element in this negotiation, but certainly while Mars transits Gemini in the 9th house, you should find your luck involved in all negotiations with others.

Ketu is in the 5th house which may not be particularly good for children unless he’s well places in your chart, he will be good for original thinking and original ideas, if you can find it in yourself to care enough to pay attention. Some very strange and fortunate coincidence is likely on the table for you thru this Ketu transit. I’ve always been partial to Ketu, he brings magic into our lives for better or worse. When he sits in the dharma trine, we can break out of the confines of our self-imposed personality box and try new things. And with Ketu we can often find some hidden talent.
