Brahmin: Priestly educated caste. Planets in these nakshatras will seek to follow dharma, philosophy, and a humanistic path. They seek to expand themselves.
Moksha: The goal here is to accept and let go, to release, liberate oneself and others. Expenditure, loss, release are the themes of this nakshatra. One usually seeks to go beneath the surface. Expect planets in moksha nakshatra’s to support all kinds of loss, liberation and freedom.
Krura/Ugra – Fierce/Severe: A provocative placement for starting fights, arguments, litigation, quitting your job, bringing an end to things or taking care of things once and for all. Serving justice or carrying out a crime, killing things, cheating, poisoning, surgery, buying or using guns and other weapons, destroying your enemies or obstacles in a harsh way. It’s good for harvesting, tearing down the old, clearing land for development, activities that once done cannot be undone. It can be great for cutting off toxic relationships, giving up bad habits, starting a tough detox, or going into rehab, completing some act of penance like self-flagellation. Magha, P. Phalguni, P. Ashadha, P. Bhadra are the other fierce Nakshatras. Tuesdays carry this energy which is why they say not to initiate travel on this day.
Rajasic: function through the mind, emotions, intellect in a spiritually active way.
East: Natives with placements in Purva Ashadha will find some of their fortune in the east. With Moon here they my be most comfortable in at the east side of a room, the east side of town, or travelling in the eastern direction.
Air: changeable, subtle, cold, pervasive, movable, clear. Fire & Air cooperate. Water & air do not cooperate & earth impedes Air
Human: The clan of humans, they are not angels or demons. They try, but in the end they are only human.
Pitta: Fire + Water = Hot, oily, light, sharp, rough. Vibrant, successful, aggressive. Disturbed by sour (Venus), pungent (Sun). Pacified by bitter (Mars) & sweet (Jupiter).
Adho Mukha – Downward Facing: Relates with research, containment, underground activity, digging wells or mines, drilling for oil, digging up the garden or other trenching activities. It may also relate with shame, pessimism or low self worth that causes you to keep your eyes cast downward. Bharani, Krittika, Ashlesha, Magha, Purva Phalguni, Vishakha, Mula, Purva Ashadha, and Purva Bhadra. Planets like Mars, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu share this nature.
Balanced: Here we find the balanced approach. Allows free will and fate to meet in the middle. But sometimes even balance can come at the cost of rigidity.
Vishnu – Sustaining, Maintaining, Organising principle: Focus is to maintain order in the universe, in society and life. Their focus is to maintain what is here and keep things going. It primarily does this through organisation of the available resources. Purva Ashadha is focused on maintaining existing beliefs through song, story, dance, and art.
Female: Imparts feminine characteristics to living karakas of planets as well as to those of the houses owned by the planet. Jupiter as the 5th owner here could give more female children because Jupiter is the 5th lord and the natural karaka for children.
Sage Pulaha
Married Daksha’s daughter Kshama and had three sons; Kardama, Kanakapeetha, Urvarivat; and a daughter Peevari. He had three more sons with his granddaughter, Gati: Karmasreshtta, Vareeyamsu, Sahishnu. He helped create the wildlife as well as many of the mythical beasts, including butterflies, lion, wolves and lambs. Since his children were so poorly behaved, he adopted Agastya’s son, Drdhasyu. He practiced intense devotion to Lord Shiva on the banks of the Alaknanda river (the source of the Ganges). He was involved with talking Sage Parashara out of killing all the Rakshasas. When King Bharata renounced his kingdom he went to Sage Pulaha’s ashram for refuge. He had knowledge of theatre and drama.
It’s said that one of his sons, Kardama, was granted two boons by Lord Vishnu: The first was that he got a good wife, and he soon married Devahuti. The second was to have a son who is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, and Sage Kapila was soon born. His nine daughters all married great sages: Anasuya (wife of sage Atri), Arundhat (wife of sage Vasistha) & Khyati (wife of sage Bhrigu), Gati (2nd wife of sage Pulaha, according to Bhagavata Purana). After their householder duties were complete, Devahuti went to study with her son, Sage Kapila, from whom she learned Sankhya philosophy. Kapila is identified with Agni and is known to have reduced sixty thousand sons of King Sagara to ash with a glance. Kapila is usually shown with jatamukha (a crown of dreadlocks), a beard, and four arms (two in yoga holding a pitcher, one holding a shakha and another with a chakra). According to Siva Purana, a Sage named Kardama was born from Brahma’s shadow to be an aspirant, but this may be a different Karadama. The word, ‘kardama’ means: mud, muck, dirty, and is sometimes used to refer to sin. Adi Parva describes him as a virtuous serpent and the grandson of Viraja. It’s said that Kardama was so pleased with his wife that he gave her an airplane with which they travelled the world.
His adopted son, Drdhasyu, was a master of scripture from birth as he memorised them from his mothers womb. He learned stick combat and martial arts from Lord Murgan, and he was also known as Idhmavaha for his ability to carry huge loads of wood from the forest. ‘Idhma’ refers to tinder that is ready to be burned (the perfect student).
Male Monkey
Most monkeys are polygamous and the males don’t usually have much to do with raising their children. The biggest, strongest and most flamboyant males tend to get the mates. He must also ensure there are enough resources to support the women and children or the women will not mate with him. If a new male defeats a rival he will often dispose of any children which are not his own. Some monkeys have a sex gland on their chest and Herpes B can be fairly common in monkeys; this can be transmitted to humans from a bite or even a scratch.
Ashoka Tree
Similar to a Hawthorn; Sacred to Yakshas and the fairies. Saskatoon berries and mountain ash are also close western relatives. Both Hawthorn and Ashoka trees have medicinal properties for cholesterol and heart conditions which is a common condition for Purva Ashadha natives.
Widely known to promote heart health. Sagittarius is widely known to relate with blood pressure. Apas, the goddess of the waters, Venus the goddess of love and pleasure. In the Ashoka tree we find the Yakshas (just as we find the Fairies in the Hawthorne). The forest spirits and nymphs who live in the tree worshiped by old ladies seek out the Ashoka and Hawthorns for protection.
Special Considerations
- Pushkara amsha 21º Sagittarius(Libra Navamsha). Nourishing point. Moons transit brings auspicious and nourishing results. Good time to plan auspicious events.
- Brihat Samhita says that when Saturn transits Purva Ashadha, the people of Anga, Vanga, Kosala, Girivraja, Magadha, Pundra, the city of Mithila and the town of Tamralipti get trouble.
Hawthorn
Sacred to Yakshas and the fairies. Saskatoon berries and mountain ash are also close western relatives. They are best known for their sharp thorns that provide protection for the plant, but also makes it perfect for growing along boundary lines. Their branches can be piled up and partly woven together to make a fence. Both Hawthorn and Ashoka trees have medicinal properties for cholesterol and heart conditions which is a common condition for Purva Ashadha natives.
Key Themes
They are often found offering service or products to women; working with and for women in some way. Women’s rights might be highlighted here: the right to sensual enjoyment and the pleasures of life. Drinking can easily turn to excess due to the watery nature of the placement.

The beautiful life is exalted above and beyond moral or ethical life. They highly value wealth, music, beauty, art & sensual pleasures as the keys to life. They can be self destructive in their pleasure seeking, they will usually have nice, pleasant, stylishly religious attire. Image counts a lot for these people and they have to be careful a about being pretentious, fake, and putting too much stock in the image of things. Their dress for success mentality typically gives them a winning attitude and the conviction they can’t lose. They are often found in advisory positions of finance, art, design. They might have a specialty dealing with luxury products, religious art, dance, music, choreography. They are balance seekers and may work in global industries that allow them to mix with different cultures and religions; they might have a great appreciation for the international or global business.
Their fine style and early presentation can open a lot of doors for them especially in their early years, or in the beginning of projects; but having focused too much on the surface details, they might lack substance or loose steam when it comes to actually comes to showing what they are made of. There is still much to be said for their ability to inspire, they can be very cooperative when working with others and they are not likely to hold prejudice based on race or religion or anything like that. They usually believe in fairness and equity and they can be compassionate, humanistic and generous.
They often end up working with water or watery products some how. They do well in shipping, sailing, water sports of all kinds. They can also get involved in clean up projects related to water and waterways. Their refined taste can be involved in the drink business and this kind thing; but we might extend this sense of taste to any field. There is often something sensual, seductive, flowing and feminine about placements in Purva Ashadha.
We cannot gloss over the spiritual and religious implications of this nakshatra. Nothing touches these folks quite like an exquisite cathedral, or an ancient temple. They would like the song and dance of the Hari Krishna cult; all that Sufi twirling, Theresa d’Avila’s “Interior Castle,” the seductive side of tantra, the Buddhist mandala’s and all that kind of thing. Morning arti, singing in the choir, the right music for the morning drive, little things like this can make all the difference in the lives of the native.
The flowing nature of Purva Ashadha is expressed in unique ways: plastic, cast-iron, 3D printing; anything that liquifies and takes a mould. The Venus rulership of this allows for reproduction.
Influences on this nakshatra by aspect or placement of the planets as well as the condition of Venus and Jupiter, and of course the house placement will all have an effect on the functioning of this nakshatra. These folks like to be pleasant, pleasing and agreeable so any influence upon them will have a strong effect. Such is the sensitivity of water.
Health:
Thighs & Back of trunk
Purva Ashadha is rajasic, of the air element, pitta dosha, balanced, and female. male monkey. By nature they are fierce and severe, and seeking moksha.
The watery nature of this nakshatra suggest it has strong relation with the blood, they lymphatic system and the hormones; the watery parts of the body. The goddess Keta from western philosophy rules of the creatures of the water which we can relate to the things that are carried in the blood stream and the tides of the body. The fierce, rajasic, pitta nature of this nakshatra, and the Auto-immune disorder of the same name suggests a strong connection to the part of the immune system that is controlled by the lymphatic system.
Needles, injections, vaccination, insulin dependent diabetics, herion addicts, several pleasure drugs or date rape drugs, acupuncturists, various serums.
Blood pressure, cholesterol, the elasticity of the circulatory system can all be affected for natives with placements here. Of course these afflictions end up having a negative effect not he heart like Myocarditis. Blood poisoning is also common. This may be due to drug or alcohol use, environmental exposure, or poor diet.
Since these folks can be over-sexed, STD’s are not uncommon, and if we consider the monkey connection, herpes is likely to be common, but due to the private nature of this disease it can be difficult to research. STD’s often go on to affect the bladder & kidneys.
There is some suggestion that lung problems or breathing problems may also arise from planets placed here. They might have some unique sensitivities (allergies). This nakshatra is very feminine, watery and emotional. Water is not hard, but it is heavy. It’s soft but it’s destructive.
Thighs (hips): Billy Idol has Mars in 8th house Purva Ashadha was in a major motor bike accident that completely mangled his leg. Oddly enough, while he was unconscious his mind became aware that this whole universe is LOVE. Jupiters aspect likely saved his life and his leg. From another perspective, sciatica can also result from afflictions,
APAS: an autoimmune disorder occurs when the body’s immune system makes abnormal antibodies that attack and damage tissues or cells. Antibodies help defend the body against infection, but in the case of APAS, the antibodies attack the body. As an autoimmune disorder, APAS occurs when the body makes antibodies that mistakenly attack phospholipids, a type of fat that’s found in the blood. This then causes blood clots to form in veins and arteries, which can lead to numerous problems and complications. 70% of people diagnosed with APAS are women. The effects can be quite severe: difficulty speaking, visual disturbance, head-aches, pulmonary embolism. Blood clots can lodge in a lung causing sudden shortness of breath, coughing up bloody mucous. Oddly enough, people with APAS are typically advised to avoid many of the most advised foods for healthy life: no avocado or garbanzo beans or other Vitamins K rich foods like leafy greens, broccoli, brussel sprouts, or cabbage for these folks. It seems like a strange cosmic joke that there would be an illness directly targeting the kind of diet that the Aphrodites of our world tend to follow; but here we have it.
On the other hand, it also seems fitting that they might have some unique sensitivities. This nakshatra is very feminine, watery and emotional. Water is not hard, but it is heavy. It’s soft but it’s destructive.
Gods & Symbols of Purva Ashadha
Apas: Cosmic Ocean: Cosmic Consciousness
The part of the water element that has to do with a refined sense of taste. She purifies and cleanses ones sins, washes away the dirt. Apas is dynamic, nourishing, nursing, purifying washing away the impurities and also cleans the inconsistencies of human behaviour. Indra was the one who defeated Vritra, the one who blocks the flow, in order to allow the water to flow, nourish and bring light. Apas however, doesn’t mean water. It means yagna karma, sacrificial deeds. Water is very sensitive to vibration, sound, wind, everything; it’s easily disturbed and agitated and relates to all kinds of change or instability. Water is responsible for the fluid metabolism in the body and so blood, lymph, and other fluids are considered water elements. Water connects to the tongue and the sense of taste. Water is the dominant element in the Kapha Dosha. Compassion, empathy. Agni, the god of fire, has a close association with water and is often referred to as Apam Napat “offspring of the waters.”
She is said to have arisen from the sea foam and represents erotic beauty and aggressive sexuality & seduction. She is the patron goddess of prostitutes, fertility, vegetation, agriculture and springtime. She is a a Great Mother, maternal, protective, a bit militaristic; she takes care of business and was often associated with administrative bureaucracy. She was claimed as a divine guardian by many political magistrates.
It’s said that when Cronus severed Uranus’ genitals and threw them behind him, into the sea, the foam from his genitals gave rise to Aphrodite. She’s typically depicted as a beautiful, sensuous, nude, nubile, unmarried woman; though a consort of the God of War, and the blind singer Demodocus describes her as the wife of Hephaestus. She is said to have been born as a fully formed adult woman and had no childhood: always sexual and fertile.
Aphrodite is said to be the waiter of the giants and many other horrible beasts. She is almost always accompanied by Eros, the god of lust and sexual desire. Her main attendants were the three Charites.
Her main symbols are the dove, the anemone and myrtle flowers as well as roses. She also has strong association with the sea and is said to rule over much of the water-fowl such as ducks, geese and swans and she rides on a chariot pulled by sparrows. Other products of the sea are used in reference to her such as the sea generally, conch-shells, sea-shells, dolphins and mermaids. Apples and pomegranate also find expression through her as they were eaten by women for birth control. She has much in common with the Egyptian Goddess Ishtar, and some suspect her stories may relate with baptism in some way.
Many stories praise her feats and give e warning against over-looking her worship. The women of Lemnos once refused to offer sacrifice to her. Aphrodite took revenge by making them all smell so horribly that their husbands stopped having sex with them; they frolicked with their Thracian slave girls instead. This led to the women murdering their husbands and their slaves and all the other men of the island. It was after this that Jason and the Argonauts landed on the Island to find it full of sex-starved women, and, with Aphrodite’s approval they impregnated all the women and repopulated the island. Those ladies never again showed disrespect to Aphrodite.
Another story (part of a play) has Aphrodite causing Phaedra to fall in love with her step-son. But Aphrodite knew Phaedra would be rejected. After the rejection she killed herself and left a suicide note to Theseus falsely claiming that Hippolytus tried to rape her. Theseus preys to Poseidon to kill Hippolytus, which Poseidon does by having a wild boar spook his horse which cause a chariot accident. The play concludes with Artemis vowing to kill Aphrodite’s own mortal beloved, Adonis, in revenge.
Another story has the wife of King Cinyras of Cyprus bragging that her daughter, Myrrha, was more beautiful than Aphrodite. Myrrha was then cursed with insatiable lust for her own father, King Cinyras who she tricks into having sex with her in a dark room. Myrrha was eventually transformed into the myrrh tree and gave birth to Adonis in this form. It might be noted that King Cinyras had three other daughters: Braesia, Laogora, and Orsedice. For reasons unknown a curse by Aphrodite influenced them to have sexual relations with foreigners and live out their lives in Egypt.
When Aphrodite was pregnant with Priapus, Zeus’ wife Hera sought revenge against the child (who she may have believed to belong to Zeus). She rubbed Aphrodite’s belly with an evil potion that would make the infant into a hideous creature. When Aphrodite gave birth, she was horrified to see that the child had a massive and permanently erect penis, a potbelly, and a huge tongue. She abandoned the child to die in the wilderness, but a herdsman found the boy and raised him as his own. It was later discovered that Priapus could use his massive penis to aid in the growth of plants.
It’s said that Zeus once became annoyed with Aphrodite for causing deities to fall in love with mortals, so he caused her to fall in love with Anchises, a handsome mortal shepherd. With this love in her heart she appeared to him while he is alone in his home in the form of a tall, beautiful, mortal virgin girl dressed in bright clothing and gleaming jewellery, her breasts shining with divine radiance. Recognising her as Aphrodite he promises to build her an altar on top of the mountain if she will bless him and his family. But Aphrodite lies to him saying that she is not a goddess, but the daughter of a local noble who was snatched up by Hermes while dancing in a celebration in honour of Artemis, the goddess of virginity, and she claims to be a virgin herself. She begs him to take her to his parents, and he, mad lust for her and swears that he will do whatever she want if she will have sex with him. After their lovemaking, Aphrodite reveals her true divine form. Anchises is terrified, but Aphrodite consoles him and promises that she will bear him a son who will be the demigod Aeneas who will be raised by the nymphs of the wilderness for five years before going to Troy to become a nobleman like his father.
In another story, The Sun God Helios saw Aphrodite and Ares having sex in Hephaestus’s bed and warned Hephaestus, who fashioned a net of gold. The next time Ares and Aphrodite had sex together, the net trapped them both. Hephaestus brought all the gods into the bedchamber to laugh at the captured adulterers, but Apollo, Hermes, and Poseidon had sympathy for Ares and Poseidon agreed to pay Hephaestus for Ares’s release. Humiliated, Aphrodite returned to Cyprus, where she was attended by the Charities. Much later in the history of mythology, this story has Ares putting the young soldier Alectryon by their door to watch for Helios because he knew Helios would snitch, but Alectryon fell asleep on duty, Helios discovered the two lovers and alerted Hephaestus. Ares turned Alectryon into a rooster which always crows at dawn. Although there is no specific mention of it, the mythological history seems to be rewritten after this little affair: Aphrodite & Hephaestus are both written as being with different consorts as if they were never married. In later works, he is married to one of the Graces and she is married to, or at least the official consort of Ares. There is a famous vase (the François Vase for history buffs) with the the later two arriving at the wedding of Peleus & Thetis on the same chariot as Zeus & Hera and Poseidon & Amphitrite.
Venus
The goddess of love. The ideal woman. Balance, harmony, sexual and sensual pleasure,
Yakshas (related with Ashok tree)
Nature spirits, usually benevolent, but sometimes mischievous or capricious, connected with water, fertility, trees, the forest, treasure and wilderness. But Yakshas have a dual nature: but there is also a darker version which is a kind of ghost (a Bhuta) that haunts the wilderness and devours travellers.
Kubara, the guardian of underground wealth was considered the king of the Yakshas.
Yakshas are to the Ashok tree as the fairies are to the hawthorn, a safe home where the humans never go. If I’m not mistaken, there was a Briar Rabbit who used to hide in a Briar patch that had the same protective capacity.
Hand-Fan
Produces wind. Cooling in the heat. Also used as a protective veil to hide the face; like a face masks. A fan is also used to fan the flames and inject oxygen into the fire to make it burn even hotter. Decorative fan’s were also used to separate people into various classes depending on how ornate the fan was. These days, hand fans are popular as a prop with c cross dresses and transvestites.
Winnowing Basket
Used to separate the wheat from the chaff. In more traditional societies these winnowing baskets still get used on a regular basis to remove stones from the rice and dhal. There are may metaphors about shedding their outer layer, removing the shell, getting away from the protective shelter of the home.
If we consider this nakshatra in light of covid, we get face masks (the hand fan), the serum (apas) and the effect of separating people based on these things as governments sought to enforce ideological purity separating the complaint from the non-compliant (the winnowing basket).
Stars of Purva Ashadha
Sagittarii: Epsilon (Kaus Australis), Delta (Kaus Media), (Kaus Borealis)
The Lyre of Orpheus: Made by Hermes from a tortuous shell and given to Apollo. Orpheus could charm anything with his music, he used it to charm the Sirens to avoid crashing into the rocks when he was travelling with Jason and the Argonaughts. He used it to charm Hades so that he could retrieve his beloved from hell, but it was on the condition he didn’t ever look back until they were out. He looked back and lost her forever. This is a bit of a parable about how independent women want a man who will trust that she is following him; she doesn’t want him watching her. Any sign that he has lost faith will be enough to make her go away. To became a celibate but continued travelling around playing music. Of course many women wanted to marry him , but due to his refusal to marry, bands of women tore him apart while they were intoxicated by Dionysus.
This nakshatra is also known as King David’s Harp, King Arthur’s Harp, the manger of the infant saviour.

Ascendant in Purva Ashadha Pada 1, Leo Navamsha:
(Jupiter + Venus + Sun) Truth, justice, fairness. Bepin Behari suggests that these natives might loose their mother early in life (mothers longevity is decreased. I would expect certain amount of theatrical self-righteousness. Strong, active fit. Great dancers with high confidence.

Sun in Purva Ashadha
Most of these natives have exceptional intelligence. Some of the greatest minds of several generations have this Sun placement. Spiritual gurus and university professors are common. Father is likely to be an orthodox religious man.
Bepin Behari: Sun in Sagittarius: allows a person to draw upon their experience from the past which allows them to easily listen to the voice of their conscience. They will have an innate understanding that this voice has a strength and rationale which must be listened too and respected.
Celebrities with Sun in Purva Ashadha
Sun in Purva Ashadha Pada 1, Leo Navamsha:
Sun in own navamsha. Celebrities who bring two things together. Some unique musician doing Rockabilly, or Punk Poet Laureate
Sun in Purva Ashadha Pada 2, Virgo Navamsha: Contrarian ideology. Their beliefs tend to be decisive. Good position for making and facing enemies. Interesting that I only have two women with Sun in this Pada and they are two of the most controversial women in history: Catherine of Aragon, whose divorce from Henry VIII caused a schism in the church, by no fault of her own. And Greta Thunberg, the most appalled and angry of young climate activists. There seems to be trouble from marriage, some tendency for addiction at some point in their lives, though they may also be born again.
Sun in Purva Ashadha Pada 3, Libra Navamsha:
Sun in debilitated navamsha. We find several spiritual powerhouses with this Sun. Libra is balance, union, yoga. They tend towards a balanced and inclusive belief system, yogis.

Mars in Purva Ashadha
They can be very competitive for knowledge and the search for truth. They often think that they are the one with the truth. They tend to think they are invincible, especially after some early successes. Influences from other planets would have a strong effect on their education. Additional malefic influence might lead them to more technical fields, while benefics is more likely to lead them health, wellness, coaching. They seek to use knowledge and wisdom to defeat others. They think they are pretty smart, but Mars doesn’t think, he just takes action.
Since this nakshatra is ruled any Apas, goddess of primordial waters, there can be problems from alcohol consumption. And since this nakshatra relates with Aphrodite women with this Mars can easily weaponise the female form. Even in the Iraq war we find a weaponisation of women rights (which is theme of Purva Ashadha.)
Mars rules the brothers and boy friends in a woman life (the men who are more or less equal to her) she will be attracted to pretty boys, handsome, intellectual, broad minded and liberal; most often too liberal. It’s likely these folks have brothers who are spiritual, stylish and well travelled. The might enter competitive fields of higher studies: athletics, business, art or design.
Since Mars is our activities, Purva Ashadha becomes the main field of activity. They tend to move with a nice flow like water. They might like to learn and teach though direct experience and they can be somewhat aggressive competitive teachers. They might even find themselves in competition with their own students. Although there is a side to them that might seem open-minded and liberal, they only espouse these virtues for their own gain. It’s possibly that they have some military training, shooting and marksmanship, and perhaps even horseback riding, which, in modern times may be a bicycle. Since they are more than capable of “handling themselves” they can be quite adventurous. They can be good strategists in sports, military, policing.
They tend to ideology and emotion and will not change their views even in the face of evidence for the contrary.

Mars in Purva Ashadha Pada 1, Leo Navamsha: They like to show off in how smart they are. They will weaponise what they see as the truth. They are not nearly as smart as they think they are. I’m sure those of you with this placement are already ready to argue with me. Don’t bother, you’ll only prove my point.
Mars in Purva Ashadha Pada 2, Virgo Navamsha: They are all pretty shameless. They have no qualms about taking advantage of someone when they’re down.
Mars in Purva Ashadha Pada 3, Libra Navamsha:
Mars in Purva Ashadha Pada 4, Scorpio Navamsha: Mars in own navamsha.

Mercury in Purva Ashadha
Knowledge of spiritual art & music. Excellent for music, singing, spiritual bhajan. They communicate in a very artistic way. They do well in media and can create beautiful ideological or religious messages with nice style. They are usually well spoken and they can make good speakers. It seems women with this position tend to be lesbian or at least bi-sexual and were most likely sexually active as adolescents. There is a slight whiff of teenage postitution all around this position of Mercury, but perhaps it’s just a general openness and possibly even message of alternative sexuality. Mercury can swing both ways.

Mercury in Purva Ashadha Pada 1, Leo Navamsha: Confident communications, confident speakers, intelligent. Many are in the spiritual business, mystics, tarot. Several of them seem to be running some kind of secret organisation or even sex cult like Osho, Edgar Hoover, or Ghislaine Maxwell. They are somehow immature about the pleasures of sex. Maybe they themselves were into prostitution when they were young leading to an immature view of sex and prostitution. They might be story tellers, or word in the sensual side of media.
Mercury in Purva Ashadha Pada 2, Virgo Navamsha: Mercury is in own navamsha. High level of logic and reasoning ability seems to be quite good for astrology, astrology. They have good foresight and ability to see and plan ahead.
Mercury in Purva Ashadha Pada 3, Libra Navamsha: This pada seems to have some magic of acting, putting on a little song and dance with heavy weight from 3 generations Robert Duvall, Paul Newman, Brad Pitt. Allan Watt’s perhaps described himself well when he called himself a philosophy entertainer.
Mercury in Purva Ashadha Pada 4, Scorpio Navamsha: Hookers & blow seems to be the theme here.
