Saturn in Ashwini Nakshatra
Old when they’re young, young when they’re old. They might get to experience a second childhood; a renewal in old age. They tend to be serious people, a little scary to others; you don’t want to get in their way. They might even be a little afraid of themselves. They tend to resist going deep for any kind of true self knowledge and they certainly do not let others in easily. In their youth they are typically full of fear, self doubt, and worry as everything seems to be life or death. This tends to make them more conservative generally: several natives are involved in land conservation, energy conservation, and these kinds of things. They resist or regulate innovation which can sometimes make them traditionalists who always prefer the old ways, even if they are more difficult.
Self doubt, self-criticism, many failings, but never quitting. They can be excessively self-reliant and self-going. Some say stubborn. They do what they want and don’t care about the consequences, they will gladly face them. They become the true trailblazers, they have survived in the toughest environment; late in life they become fearless. They might lget them lack impulse control and suffer the consequences. It might sometimes take them a little while to get going, but once they do, there’s no stopping them. They are often rebels whi inspire others to rebel. But they can also be extremely lazy and apathetic and it takes them a while to get going. Their fear of rejection can cause them to act out in way that will obviously get them rejected, or they might hide in the shadows and never do anything for fear of rejection. This Saturn will demand that these native sacrifice themselves for others at every opportunity.
Saturn in Aries: Ashwini, Bharani, Krittika
They might feel like they are above the law, or the law doesn’t apply to them, or that they are themselves the law. Guys like Hunter Biden who were resistant to the breaking news stories that pummelled his reputation, and he’s unlikely to try anything new. But most of these folks have some skeletons in the closet that they would prefer to keep hidden. They can be great hypocrites. All around them are storms raging and they are just trying to hang on. Impulses will have to be ruthlessly controlled as one would have suffered heavy consequences. The might have had to suffer heavy consequences for acting before thinking, therefore the remain resistant against starting anything new unless they have thought it out well. Saturn containing all of this wild energy is sure to build pressure which will likely have to find some kind of dark release.
Brings, dryness, hardness, slowness to the brain and body. Low Dopamine is possible; lack of reward leads them to the occasional extremes in order to feel some kind of satisfaction. They tend to remain fearful of attack, and they may have very strong walls, but these only serve to invite further attack. These natives are typically defiant, disobedient and rebellious. They might feel like there is never enough time to start anything new, they will manage to remain busy constantly as they wait for the critics; for the attack. Of course fear of penetration often relates to an uncomfortable sexual partner early in life; men and women will both be tense during penetration. They are always fearful of the first move.
They tend to stick with their current course out fear and self-doubt. They do not want to take initiative which will challenge the status quo. They have an unusual strength of determination to do what others say is impossible. Several mountaineers and polar explorers have this Saturn; it seems the immovable rock meets unwavering determination. Several of the female stars likewise sacrificed everything as they moved forward in their careers. Chyna was a feminine phenomena in wrestling.
Hunter Schafer has also pushed the boundaries of free speech as part of the caste of Euphoria. It could be said that their spontaneous penetration of boundaries, perhaps even the boundaries of decency seem to be the cause of much concern to others. This Saturn can bring a lot of impatience related with the qualities of the house he’s in. Early life can be really difficult, but they are able to rise above it later in life and gain success. Saturn is not fully debilitated until the next nakshatra 20 degrees Aries.
Mathew McConaughey has made a name for himself saying “woah, woah, woah.” With this position we find the struggle between the wild stallion and the cowboy trying to rein him in, but there are no reins so it can be a wild ride. Speaking of horses, Ronald Reagan had a horse ranch and he was actually a cowboy actor before becoming President.
These people can be very self-conscious feeling like they are never enough, a nobody, undeserving, they have to work for everything. The life source which is Ashwini is denied to them, perhaps some kind of oxygen deficiency that keeps them a bit weak, a bit scared all the time, can’t breath well. But these folks have very strong and determined hearts. If Mars (and perhaps Ketu) is well placed, these people have the determination, the persistent effort, and the thick scull to do just about anything they set their mind to.
Part of the reason Saturn doesn’t like Aries is that Saturn is just coming into the light after going through hell. Saturn is blinded by the light, he see’s his many imperfections, his darkness, shame, guilt; a servant at the command of any other. They can take a lot of suffering and humiliation; it’s shameful what some people put themselves through just to prove themselves. They are not usually very warm people; but it’s too these people some of the most difficult and daunting challenges are addressed. They will be turned to stone in order to complete their mission. Many of these natives might be considered morally corrupt, but they did what they had to do to survive. And they do make good survival guides. It’s not uncommon to find them on a long impossible journey somewhere. They are very hearty people, and capable of making the most difficult life or death discussions.
At some point in their life they will put all their energy into starting over; many of them end up at the gym, working out, building the body, trying to become somebody instead of the nobody they were born as. For them it’s a long term project, and one needs to earn the right to be; there might be persecution for any number of reasons, or there may just be the kind of hard tapas that looks like self punishment.

Saturn in Ashwini Pada 2, Taurus Navamsha: Artha Pada. Few people seem to have this Saturn. Perhaps this belongs to the poorest of the poor and the most difficult lives. People who are insignificant in every way. There are of course a few people who made a name for themselves. Lee Harvey “I’m just a pattsy” Oswald. A few ladies who seem convinced about their insignificance in their world. Just objects to be used or avoided. Saturn in Ashwini Pada 4, Cancer Navamsha: Moksha Pada. This pada can make a person excessively rich and excessively cruel. They do not have much of a childhood and they had to grow up from a very young age, almost like a child soldier, hard nosed CEO who only sees profit margins and misses the people involved. There will likely be some vata, some anxiety due to aspect on the 6th house: slow digestion, nervousness, coldness, hardness. This Saturn can give a hard restriction to expenditure, loss, liberation. There is not much freedom due to the constant duties that need to be done for work, which may be because the native spent the whole day daydreaming when they should have been working. But they can loose themselves in long repetitive movements, like walking 30km per day.
They might appear free and happy on the outside while harbouring deep subconscious fears which can be paralysing. Life can feel like being stuck in a nightmare. Mars aspect or influence can add antipsychotics or other powerful poisons and drugs. May be involved with providing transportation, logistics, communication, translation, in foreign or isolated places or for foreigners.
