Rahu in Revati – Ketu in Chitra

Rahu in Revati & Ketu in Chitra

Dreamy and innovative; escapists, travellers who often live abroad form some time. A love for literature, theatre, film, art, music seems to be the healthy means of escape. They are often minimalists, having abandoned the need for make-up and accessories. Louis Sullivan puts it well when he says that form follows function when it comes to architecture. I might add that when we take from nature, this relationship is reversed: function follows form we see something and then figure out what it can be used for.

At some point in their lives they will abandon their career or struggle to find work, alienated from their co-workers and contacts, forced to take random jobs or jobs that are far beneath them. They are somewhat fascinated by the gypsy, the hobo, the free-man. The inner journey means more to them than all of this. Of course many people will never understand. Like Tesla championing the innovative possibilities of being alone, happily exiled, happily abandoning one’s career for something deeper like Molly Ringwald when she moved to France in her 20s. But one of her most popular films is all about detention, a bunch of kids causing trouble while in detention. A cult classic in North America.

The abandonment of accessories seems to be most clear in Tesla’s chart. Wireless technology has been a signature of the time we live in. Rahu has an interesting delay effect, this is important when assessing his results. Rahu tends to think he gets away with something without any consequence, but way down the line, seeming unconnected to any past action, we have things to deal with and it seems like the universe is just giving us bad luck. For Tesla, he had many of his patents stolen, but when it came time to actually put the ideas tot he practical test, everyone seems to know who the true inventor is.

Tesla’s wireless and recharging technology took a whole cycle to manifest itself. Superconductors also had a long delay between the idea and the implementation. The ships and planes crashing were often due to some flaw in design or manufacture that happened long before. Perhaps too much time alone in their own head means they need someone else checking the details for them. Though this position also supports technical careers in medicine, research, sports, the arts; things that can be done alone, in privacy. They may struggle with “real careers,” they work better without a boss, without  too many people around.

Much of their life will revolve around the tension between logic and imagination. And there is a lot of duality in Virgo & Pisces. Very two faced: an outside face and an inside face. Of course additional affections might lead to bi-polar, and the effects of this combination seem to be much more on the thinking or the brain: dyslexia, anxiety, isolation, alienation, unexplainable problems. Chitra rules over the head and the neck with is suggestive of the pituitary ans the thyroid. Mars is also well known of this relationship with the circadian rhythm and the blood so we can see how all of this might be affected by malefics in Chitra. We kinda see the rhythms through Virgo with is the sign where we take care of the things that need to be taken care of day to day. These folks can easily let this stuff slide as they fall into revery and time passed without awareness. Rahu escapist tendencies here can easily lead to drugs or alcohol abuse. And we see things like gas explosions and water problems affecting their lives in some way.

There seems to be lots of cold on the hands and fingers. Many of these natives ride motorbike or this kind of thing, at least a couple of these people have had frost bite. Craftsmen working with their hands also suffer cold and numbness. In some cases it might just be poor blood circulation to the hands.

I get a sense that they can easily get stuck in circular thinking; recycling the same thoughts over and over again. In some way it might be all about a certain number of revolutions or repetitions in a minute. Bicycles, motor bikes, horses, speed, fitness, They might seem very shanti on the outside, but inside they my be in turmoil; they just have a lot going on. They are always in over their head, and there is usually a crash; especially if there are additional influences by malefics. Conjunct the moon can bring an especially deep emotional turmoil that may affect sleep; in some sense, and perhaps it’s because of the constant repetition, they might sleep through the whole day even while going about doing everything that is expected of them. Rahu is famous for this kind of speculative energy. The thing about Rahu and expectations is that he will set a trap. Following Rahu always takes you the wrong way, he has no sense of direction but he never stops moving. Vroom-vroom.

Sean Elliot: Classic cowboy actor. Who doesn’t love this guy. He plays the good, honourable, straight shootin’ cowboy who always closes the high road. Not a huge name, but easily recognisable.

They travel all over the country, all over the world. They are good story tellers, but maybe pulling your leg a little bit. These natives do not have proper family values, and they don’t honour their family lineage. There tends to be a depreciation in value. There may no the a lot of respect for their family name which can hold them back in life, or perhaps it’s they who doesn’t respect their lineage. There is a very good chance they will eat fish, They’re too materialistic and their material or their stories do not have lasting value; like a technical manual, it quickly becomes outdated. Maybe their own image is also out of date, old fashioned; probably not great style.

Food stores might also be dated, stale, or lacking nutrition, drinking smoking, all five M’s. Stomach, digestion, genes, cloudy or blurred vision,

They might feel like they were abandoned by the father and the gurus. They don’t have a clear purpose in life and they can find little meaning in their activities even if it all appears to be very deep and meaningful. They find it hard to connect it all in a way that points to meaning. To them it’s all random, which gives them permission to be a little bit odd and unique sometimes. They will rev the engine to get noticed, they will increase the vibrations, do something unique with sound to get attention; make some noise. But their whole messaging might be just a bunch of noise, sermonising, whistleblowing. The whole message is just ideological prattle, there’s no real depth to it though it might sound deep.

Caitlyn Jenner (1949 – … ): Decathlete Transgender Whistleblower. “If I had not been dyslexic, I wouldn’t have needed sports. I would have been like every other kid. Instead, I found my one thing, and I was never going to let go of it. That little dyslexic kid is always in the back of your head.” “If I wasn’t dyslexic, I probably wouldn’t have won the Games. If I had been a better reader, then that would have come easily, sports would have come easily… and I never would have realised that the way you get ahead in life is hard work.”

Leaving their mark makes them feel like a part of a place. Like a traveller carving his initials in the wall on his way through. Pope Sixtus destroyed many antiquities as he sought to restore the prestige of the Vatican with his building projects. He ultimately angered the local populous with heavy taxation to pay for everything. I suspect that some of the boxers or fighters would like to leave their mark in more violent ways. Home life is not likely to be secure; it will be a false sense of security towards which they put much effort to be a part of the community; but the more effort they make, the less they feel like their a part of everything.

Sarah McLachlan (1968 – … ): Her album “Shine On” addressed many social issues, female empowerment, as she wanted to promote peace and harmony. Her song “Sweet Surrender” about giving your all to a thing was a big hit. “Fallen,” “Building a Mystery.” “Fumbling towards Ecstasy,” “World on Fire,” She lives in a very isolated rain forest next to the ocean, has a home studio but travels a lot. Her song “Angel” was used as a marketing ploy for SPCA animal cruelty fundraising commercials.

Julius Axelrod (1912 – 2004): Biochemist who made major contributions to our understanding of the pineal gland & melatonin in connection with our sleep-awake cycles. His work also opened up the study of neurotransmitters (hormones) epinephrine, norepinephrine & dopamine. He also studied codeine, morphine and LSD. An exploding bottle of ammonia in the lab has left him with a patch on one eye. In his early career he tested the vitamin supplement they add to food. Ketu Mahadasha 1933 – 1940: From 1935–46 he was Chemist at the Laboratory of Industrial Hygiene testing the vitamin supplements added to food. – during which time he attended night school to gain his Master’s degree. He was married to Sally Taub from 1938 until her death in 1992 (53 years). They had two children together. Axelrod wanted to become a physician, but was rejected from several medical school. then in 1935 he got a job with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene testing vitamin supplements added to food. In 1941 he earned his master’s in sciences through night school. In 1941 he injured his left eye in the lab when an ammonia bottle exploded; he wore an eyepatch for the rest of his life. Molly Ringwald (1968 – … ): “Facts of Life” (kicked off the project), “Sixteen Candles,” “The Breakfast Club,” “Pretty in Pink”. Projected as the sweet kid next door, but her true life was just the opposite. She was the muse and inspiration for John Hughs to make many of her own films. She moved away to France for many years to get away from Hollywood. Even with very protective parents watching over her, she suffered from constant sexual harassment on set even as a child. “All this went on despite my having very protective parents who did their best to shield me.” She sings jazz, writes novels, translates between French and English. “I felt all the things that other teenagers felt. I was insecure in lots of ways, over-confident in others. I was very emotional. Excitable.”

Louis Sullivan (1856 – 1924): Father of Skyscrapers, Father of Modernism, form follows function, a structure must have three qualities: “solid, useful, beautiful.” Although his buildings were plain, he made lavish use of ornamentation, use of massive semi-circular arches. In 1783 he got work in a building boom following the Great Chicago Fire. Initially achieved fame building theatres and then office buildings. But disputed with partners eventually dissolved the company sending Sullivan into a 20 year financial and emotional decline and alcoholism. He may have been a model for the character in Ayn Rands “Fountainhead.”

“It is the pervading law of all things organic and inorganic, of all things physical and metaphysical, of all things human, and all things super-human, of all true manifestations of the head, of the heart, of the soul, that the life is recognisable in its expression, that form ever follows function. This is the law.” (Put practical use above aesthetics) — Louis Sullivan

Nikola Tesla (1856 – 1943): Pioneering inventor and engineer, far ahead of his time and would later inspire the work of Elon Musk. He lived away from everything, probably with the gypsies. Had patent disputes and much of his work was stolen by Edison and others. He was forgotten, but these days he is the great one: AC electricity, induction motors, and wireless communication. Was a friend of Swami Vivekananda who introduced him to the Vedas.

“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” “Be alone, that is the secret to invention; be alone, that’s where ideas are born.” “The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.” “I don’t care that they stole my idea . . I care that they don’t have any of their own.” “Let the future tell the truth, and evaluate each one according to his work and accomplishments. The present is theirs; the future, for which I have really worked, is mine”— Nikola Tesla

Mao Zedong (1893 – 1976): “Communism is not love. Communism is a hammer which we use to crush the enemy.” “People say that poverty is bad, but in fact poverty is good. The poorer people are, the more revolutionary they are. It is dreadful to imagine a time when everyone will be rich… From a surplus of calories people will have two heads and four legs.”

Woody Guthrie (1912 – 1967): Songs: “Hobo’s Lullaby,” “Gypsy Davy,” “House of the Rising Sun,” “My Daddy flies a Ship in the Sky,” “This Land is your Land,” “Sinking of Reuben James,” ‘Grand Coulee Dam,”

“Take it easy, but take it.” “I love a good man outside of the law as much as I hate a bad man inside the law.” “The best way to get to know a bunch of people is to go and listen to their music.” “Some men will rob you with a six-gun — others rob you with a fountain pen.” “‘Cause I look through the want ads every day, But the headlines on the papers always say, If you ain’t got  the do re mi boys, you ain’t got the do re mi. Why, you better go back to beautiful Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Georgia, Tennessee” “Love is the only medicine to believe in.”— Woody Guthrie

“As I went walking I saw a sign there And on the sign it said “No Trespassing.” But on the other side it didn’t say nothing, That side was made for you and me. This land is your land, this land is my land From California to the New York island From the Redwood forest to the Gulf Stream waters This land was made for you and me.” — Woody Guthrie

Robert Duvall (5 Jan. 1931 – …): A navy brat raised with Christian Science but never attended church. He studies drama in college, joined the army for the Korean War, but was entertainment for the troops; a comedian. Married four times but has no children; not for lack of trying. He has trained and practices jiu-jitsu. Duvall took many odd jobs: departments store clerk, post-man, truck driver. He had been in theatre for about 5 years now. July ’57 he was in an Agatha Christie’s play, “Witness for the Prosecution.” Around the same time he played in “Thieves Carnival,” which he called a catalyst for his career. A part in an Arthur Miller play allowed him to meet many important people in the business and he very soon landed a “spectacular lead” I the “Naked City” TV series. In 1958 he made his o0ff-Broadway debut,  and by 1959 he was getting lead roles in all the big theatres and guest actor roles in many TV shows. It was also in this period that others began to notice his particular love for common people.   Ketu Rahu Dasha July 1967 – July 1968: A  small part as a taxi driver driving Steve McQueen around in “Bullitt.”   Venus Rahu Dasha Oct 1978 – Oct 1981: “I love the smell of napalm in the morning” was his classic line from “Apocalypse Now.” He played Eisenhower in the mini-series “Ike.” “The Great Santini” In “True Confessions” he played a disillusioned sports writer.   Sun Rahu Dasha Sept 1992 – Aug 1993:  He founded a production company called Butcher’s Run Films in 1992. Pope Sixtus V: Franciscan. He may have been born at the tail end of Rahu period if his birth time is correct. His rebuilding program destroyed many antiquities. A significant figure in the counter reformation. He excommunicated Elizabeth I, who sought reconciliation after the bloody years of her father, Henry VIII and her step sister, Bloody Mary. Henry IV of France was also excommunicated. He was intent on being remembered, and leaving his mark.

Serotonin reuptake inhibitors: Neurotransmitters are recaptured (“reuptake”) by the pre-synaptic nerve ending, and recycled for later transmissions.

It almost seems like the aliens that Sigourney Weaver is so famous for battling are not actually so different from Descartes doubts upon which he founded his first philosophy; his foundational insight. I wonder if Tesla was dealing with something like cockroaches out where he stayed. People mostly doubted him and stole his work. It almost seems like he was also battling with ghosts, ephemeral phenomena.

Sigourney Weaver (1949 – … ): Staring rolls in “Aliens,” “Avatar,” “Ghostbusters.” Way out there stuff, very imaginative. She had a scene of giving birth to an alien in the film.

“Carbon dioxide pollution is transforming the chemistry of the ocean, rapidly making the water more acidic. In decades, rising ocean acidity may challenge life on a scale that has not occurred for tens of millions of years. So we confront an urgent choice: to move beyond fossil fuels or to risk turning the ocean into a sea of weeds.” “I used to be terribly shy, so I was either shy or over the top, and I always had a difficult time.” “I feel self-doubt whether I’m doing something hard or easy.” “I love playing an alien.” “I love working quickly. I don’t like to do thousands of takes, and I don’t want to do thousands of set ups.” “I am a person who goes out without a purse. Transits of Rahu in Revati  & Ketu in Chitra

Summary

The history of the past 120 years of this transit reads as a list of airplane crashes, ships sinking, gas explosions, car bombs, toxic leaks, oil leaks, asphyxiation, radiation, air pollution, and water pollution.

This is not a good transit for flying machines or creature. Bird flu took down thousands, airplanes crashed or were highjacked. Planes, ships, and even space-ships have a tendency to collide under this transit. Just lately the news has been talking about the door falling off a commercial plane mid-flight. Those pesky little details have a habit of haunting us during this transit. It’s not all bad though, the first flight around the world without stopping for fuel took place under this transit. And the Super Jumbo jet, Airbus A380 made its maiden flight; it’s still the world’s largest commercial air plane.

It seems to be a good period for island nations; The movie, “Madagascar” was released under this transit. gaining independence or higher status under their rulers flag.

Science:  An interesting invention from the 1930’s transit is kind perfected fifty years later in the 1986 transit when the TASCC Superconducting Cyclotron, for accelerating particles for studies in nuclear physics, opens. The generation of attosecond pulses of light also relates with superconductors. There is no loss of electrical energy in a superconductor; the energy can last indefinitely.

War: In the 1986 – 87 Saddam Husain was the western darling, the world hardly heard anything when he used chemical weapons against Iran. He was fully supplied and supported by the west. By the next transit in 2005, he was the enemy. We find now in the current transit that America is merely a belligerent occupier in Iraq; Recent high profile bombings and assassinations have caused the Iraq government to ask America to leave; but of course this is ignored.

Flights around the world by plane or by rocket. Those ring roads that go around most cities now started with this transit.

Airborne Illness: Bird Flu, Mad Cow Disease

YouTube, and with it, the YouTube star was born under this transit. It provides an escape for creators and an escape for viewers.

Smart phone, smart blanket, smart kitchen, shoes that vibrate to give stock market updates, an extra annoying alarm clock, an extra cuddly pillow with a strong masculine arm sticking out the side. Honda made a special car especial for dog owners. And in case anyone wanted to do anything about their loneliness, they figured out how to print messages on rose petals to really kick up the romance from afar. There was also the cloths hanger that tells you the weather. The finger print password security is now a common feature on electronic and I suspect electronic paper has been a handy evolution of the etch-a-sketch.
