At this point I notice that many of the Uttara Phalguni placements relate with some kind of fantasy story. In the case of Saturn we find truth emerging from darkness after (or through) a long struggle. Their creative endeavours usually take a meticulous plan and much time to carry out; a labour of love. If Saturn is the 7th lord then a long term, difficult, commitment to marriage might be in the cards, but all kinds of committed relationships vows can push a person to their limits. They often learn the hard way that reneging on a promise or breaking a vow has heavy consequences. They will eventually lead by example, highlighting discipline, structure and accountability in expressing one’s individuality.

This is often a rags to riches story where a person works very hard in order to gain respect from society. Occasionally it may be a more wealthy trust fund manager who lives as if poor. In the chart of the USA, Saturn rules the 2nd and 3rd house and represents that common American narrative that with hard work a person can go from having nothing to having everything. Hawthorne noted, “I am sick to death of Berkshire … I have felt languid and dispirited, during almost my whole residence.”   In May 1852, the Hawthorne’s returned to Concord where they lived until Jul. 1853. In Feb., they bought The Hillside, a home previously inhabited by Amos Bronson Alcott and his family, and renamed it The Wayside.   He wrote The Life of Franklin Pierce, and with Pierce’s election as President, Hawthorne was rewarded in 1853 with the position of United States consul in Liverpool shortly after the publication of Tanglewood Tales. During this period he and his family lived in the Rock Park estate in Rock Ferry in one of the houses directly adjacent to Tranmere Beach on the Wirral shore of the River Mersey.  He would have been a regular passenger on the steamboat operated Rock Ferry.  His appointment ended in 1857.   The Hawthorne family toured France and Italy until 1860. During his time in Italy, the previously clean-shaven Hawthorne grew a bushy moustache.  The family returned to The Wayside in 1860.   1860: The Marble Faun, his first new book in seven years. At the outset of the American Civil War, Hawthorne traveled with William D. Ticknor to Washington, D.C., where he met Abraham Lincoln and other notable figures. Saturn in Hasta 12th House

This powerful yoga karaka placement keeps them far from home. They usually take up long term residence in a foreign country; foreign services is a common prediction with this Saturn, but due to being yoga karaka such foreign service can be very fortunate and auspicious. With Venus influence they could be into financial services, resort, retreat, luxury travel, sailing around the world.
