Jupiter in Aries: Ashwini, Bharani, Krittika

Chamatkar Chintamani Jupiter in Aries: “The native successfully achieves intellectual and material growth ads a fixed aim of life through friends and others. Gain through speculation. Patrimony, children and partner. Name and fame through religious links and even enemies. Peaceful and much travelling, great authority. If Sun Aspects, the native is philanthropic, honest, noble sons, fortunate, hairy body, fortitude, inclination to religion as an intellectual exercise for spiritual growth. If Moon aspects, interest in women, gems, jewels, history and literature. Awakening of psychic interests. If Mars aspects, temperamentally hot, gives energy and activity; restlessness and negative approach. Rich and characterless partner. If Mercury aspects, develops the low instincts of the native making him wicked, overly critical, cautious but a prattler (idle chatter and nonsense babble). Aspected by Venus, fond of the arts, literature, music, and all that is beautiful. Prosperity and cowardice. If Saturn aspects, grant possessions and worldly wealth, boldness, greed, ugliness, name and progeny.”

Jupiter in Ashwini

“If there’s no god, everything is permitted.” Dostoyevsky

Jupiter rules over children so there is a chance of illegitimate children, unexpected children, twins, with the second one being unexpected. They are very strong proponents of freedom and might seek to break through the established rights and freedoms. There is a love of travel here with a possibility to live free out on the open road. Several people live out a van or a bus, expansive means of transport. Many travelled with a whole caravan or convoy. I would imagine several truck drivers would have this Jupiter as well.

They will likely have knowledge of the newest and latest methods of healing. And it’s said they might be involved in some kind of miraculous healing techniques. Chemistry and pharmacology seem to be well supported by this Jupiter. I generally consider Ketu to relate with the very fine dust that is encapsulated into tablets as well as the microscopic work that pharmacists do.

They might seek beliefs and ideologies to heal and rescue and pull people from the darkness to give them a new life. There is often an unnatural blend of religion and politics offering the opportunity to be born again. Several of these native ate fathers or founders or early proponents of new philosophical systems.

Language, logic, linguistics, law, human rights, humanism, analytical philosophy. Jupiter in Ashwini are the broad minded humanists from any religion; their external faith could be anything, Catholic, Baptist, Jewish, atheist, but they will have humanism in common. And though they may be pacifist, they will fight against war, they will fight and stand for human rights and the freedom and dignity of man. Many of them are activists, reformers.

Physical fitness comes natural. They are always active, trying new things, challenging themselves and others. They can be a bit pushy with their beliefs. They believe in independence, the ability of the individual to rise up. Free will is strong; especially freedom of belief. Despite their somewhat militant beliefs, they can be very simple people with simple pleasures. They will have a great appreciation for the absurd, the odd, the unusual. They like to take any new thing and expand on it; blow it up, make it bigger. They are not the sharpest tool in the drawer, but they get things done, they move things forward, and they are often successful. They take risks, they try new things, they are not averse to speculation and investment; though they might not be they best at facing consequences for their actions. In so far as Ashwini represents sound and light, these people can make a spectacle of their beliefs and draw a lot of attention towards themselves and their ideology. They bring a new perspective, revive what has been long dead.

Martin Luther King: Baptist Minister and civil rights leader.

Charlemagne: There was the old Roman Empire, but he brought is back and made it better than ever: The Holy Roman Empire.

Pope Leo XIII (1810 – 1903): He sough to define the position of the church with regard for modern thinking. He was sometimes call “the Workers Pope,” but he managed to oppose both socialism and capitalism. Right’s for workers and fair wages, but also free enterprise and property right. He is particularly remembered for his belief that “pastoral activity in political sociology was also a vital mission of the church as a vehicle of social justice and maintaining the rights and dignities of the human person.”

Pope Gregory XIII (1502 – 1585): Commissioned the Gregorian Calendar after it was noticed that the Julian Calendar was shifting celebrations away from their appointed season. We still use the Gregorian Calendar today. He had been a lawyer and judge before becoming pope. And he had taken the time and expense to document an illegitimate child he had with a servant to ensure the child would not be left out of the inheritance when he died. (illegitimate children is a theme of this Jupiter placement. It’s said that due to his legal brilliance and management abilities he was able to respond and deal with major problems quickly and decisively, although not always successfully. He sought to reform the whole Catholic Church. He was known to be fiercely independent. He generously supported the Jesuit colleges (the best educational institutes at the time), and founded many new seminaries for training priests.

Thomas More: (1479 – 1535): A lawyer/Judge who served as an advisor under the cruel Henry VIII who had him executed for treason since he would not recognise Henry as the head of the church. A schism created over his desire to divorce (or annul) his marriage with Catherine of Aragon. On his execution day, Thomas More reportedly said: “I die the king’s poor servant, and Gods first.” More was a strong supported of what was called “New Learning” at that time; what we now cal humanism. He was a Page for the Archbishop of Canterbury, then studies at Oxford before training as a lawyer. More had seriously considered becoming a monk. He often joined the monk in their spiritual practices at the Carthusian monastery just outside of London. Although he stood for election in parliament he maintained common ascetic practices of the time: wearing a hair shirt and occasional self-flagellation. He was a caring and affectionate father who who adopted his wife daughter and gave his several daughters the same classical education that he gave his sons. This was highly unusual at the time, but other nobles started to do the same.

Ayn Rand (1905 – 1982): She was one of the first woman to go to University when they opened up to woman in Russia. She remained very politically active her whole life. Developed a new philosophical system called objectivism. Reason is the only means of acquiring knowledge. Her sense of morality she called ethical egoism. She rejected faith and religion. she condemned the initiation of force as immoral and opposed collectivism, statism, and anarchism. Instead, she supported laissez-faire capitalism, which she defined as the system based on recognising individual rights, including private property rights. Although Rand opposed libertarianism, which she viewed as anarchism. In America her work has influences right wing libertarians and conservatives.

Noam Chomsky ( ): Another social activist, also known as the father of modern linguistics, one of the founders of the field of cognitive science. Earned his doctorate for transformational grammar. He, like many of these natives with Jupiter in Ashwini, are known for a strong pacifist or anti-war stance. He later went on to write an excellent book called Manufacturing Consent and suggested intellectual self-defence to guard our minds from mass media and elite control. He identifies as an anarchy-syndicalist or libertarian socialist: liberty, community & freedom of association. Almost the exact opposite of Ayn Rand, but yet not so different.

Alejandro Jodorowsky: Avant Guard film maker with a cult-like following. His 1973 production of Holy Mountain was a precursor to what he called his own  has also spiritual system, which he call s “psycho-magic” and “psycho-shamanism.” It’s a blend of mystic traditions like alchemy, tarot, Zen Buddhism and shamanism which is both a life style and a therapeutic healing system.

Vargottama Pada. These are the most individualistic and head strong in their beliefs. They are ideological warriors, but their ideology doesn’t always stick together. Ayn Rands philosophy is a great example. Academic philosophers maintain that she is a novel writer and not a philosopher. Her philosophy has many gaps and holes. They are driven to put their beliefs into action. They tend to challenge the status quo the most.

Jupiter in Bharani

Bold, enthusiastic, taking risks, starting things without thinking too much, quick judgements, seize on opportunities.

Jupiter is well-placed for gathering wealth and maintaining a diverse wealth portfolio. Three of the Rothschilds have this Jupiter suggesting a connection to banking. Most of us can’t imagine the burden this must be. It typically takes a few nice combinations to make that kind of wealth, but less wealthy people might still find themselves burdened by stuff and generally over expansion. If Rahu aspects Jupiter in Bharani they could be hoarders. Even without Rahu’s influence these folk can have a strong attachment to their possessions. Jupiter is the heaviest planet, so he can really hold us down sometimes. They often take on the burden of getting an education and serving as advisors, bureaucrats or politicians. They will recognise that beliefs have consequences. They can be passionate about their beliefs and may be persecuted for them; however they could also do the same to others. They may be tasked with life and death judgements. Unpopular decisions.

Children may be a burden in some way and they might try to keep their children hidden and away from the spotlight. This goes the same for women, though it must be noted that very few women seem to have this placement. They are all fairly agreeable and open to sex; some are even kinda sex gurus or what I call sexy tantrics; they will have some kind of secret knowledge.

They can be open to death and disaster, possibly even hopeful and optimistic about disaster. “It’s for the best.” Many of these folks make a living going to war or from disasters. It’s actually a pretty brutal lineup. Many of these natives might looses child during this life, and woman are particularly at risk of loosing their husband.

Jupiter in Krittika

“It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child.” — Picasso

“To make oneself hated is more difficult than to make oneself loved.” — Picasso

“I’m always doing that which I cannot do in order that I may learn how to do it.” — Picasso

Expansive criticism. Broad knowledge and very capable advisors; extremely intelligent, philosophical minded. They believe in the freedom of the human condition and are very optimistic about what we can achieve. Their beliefs are expressed through their actions and put to the test in the real world. He who has the best belief rises the highest. In some way this process purifies their beliefs, thoughts, and ideas. They tend to hold high and lofty ideals. In their reach for the stars they are constantly criticising and refining. They tend to be challenged by their beliefs. They may like philosophical argument and debate. They have broad learning and know well how to use their mind to figure things out.

There can be some issues regarding paternity with this placement. Svaha tried to admit that Skanda was her child, and not that of the seven sages, but was not believed in the beginning. One may be raised by someone other than their own mother or father, or have many parental figures. It seems reasonable that this position of Jupiter might also increase the chance that abortion will come into their lives somehow. They might even themselves be lucky to have been born. At the time of birth, one client’s mother claimed, out of spite, that the father was unknown. This was before DNA testing so the father engaged in a lengthy and expensive legal campaign to prove himself the father. The natives half brother likewise didn’t find out who his true father was until he turned 18.

Sartre’s Philosophical beliefs are highly relevant to this placement: He held strong beliefs about individuality. Sartre’s basic belief is that we are “condemned to be free;” we didn’t choose to be free, but rather had freedom thrust upon us. What we are, who we are is not determined, it’s up to each of us to create our own existence, for which we are then responsible. This freedom and responsibility is always there; it cannot be given up or taken away. For Sartre there is no creator.

In direct relation to Krittika, Sartre uses a paper cutter as an example. If we consider a paper cutter, the creator had a plan for making it; it has an essence. But man has no similar purpose, essence or creator. In the case of humans our existence precedes our essence. He says that we cannot explain our actions and behaviour by referring to any specific human nature, we are necessarily and fully responsible for those actions. “We are left alone, without excuse.” We cannot even blame our past because if we are free we are then free to choose anything, independent of our past or what appeared to be our “nature” until then. Authenticity and individuality have to be earned but not learned.

The Taurus part of this nakshatra likely influenced his belief that our ideas are the product of our experiences, therefore, literature, novels, and theatre can hold equal weight in the world of philosophy as theoretical essays.

Some said that “Sartre’s Children” were those who created the murderous ideologies that allowed massacres like that in the Khmer Rouge or those perpetrated by Mao and Stalin to happen. He was often criticised for the meaninglessness that existentialism ascribes to existence. A world without a creator is simply barbaric for many people.

J.M.W. Turner’s final words, “the Sun in God” are also relevant to this placement. We can see this reverence and expansiveness of his vision of the Sun in his painting. The expansive yellow light of hope and optimism.

Strongly identified with faith based family values. George Strait seems like the perfect face of the free-range cowboy with a strong faith in god and good family values despite his life as a touring country music singer. They accumulate great wealth and many assets, vehicles, They might maintain a fairly simple life but will be known for their family wealth, an easily recognised face in their field. Jataka Bharnam Jupiter in 3rd house: “The native is devoid of courtesy, politeness, and generosity; they are misery and ungrateful. The native makes many pilgrimages and makes his destiny by dint of own effort and intellect, but due to over ambition conditions are never quite satisfactory. Interested in writing, thoughtful, intelligent, wise, performing work with intelligent devices and has a tendency towards spiritualism.”

B.V. Raman Jupiter in the 3rd house: “This is also a good position. The mind is optimistic and philosophical. Will have many good brothers. The native becomes a miser. Does not love family and children. The body gets heated and he suffers from ill-health. If afflicted, he will be devoid of gratitude. He does not have many friends. Does not take advantage of opportunities. Adapts himself to conventionalities.”

BPHS 2nd lord in the 3rd house: “The native will be a man of valour, wise, virtuous, lustful and miserly if there are benefic influences. If influenced by malefic circumstance, the native will be heterodox. If conjunct the 3rd lord and with a malefic planet the native will have no fear of god. A malefic planet in the 3rd house depends more on one’s own valour than on fate or god. Due to his courage he does not amass money but reinvests it in trade for expansion and development. B.V. Raman 2nd lord in the 3rd house: “Brave, intelligent, good-natured but deprived character. Atheistic tendencies will be rampant and they will become addicted to luxuries. This Jupiter focuses all their wealth from the 3rd house: lots of short, but extended trips, travelling with the band, lots of road trips

We find here a good example of the subtle differences between the Moon chart and the ascendant chart. Martin Luther king was often traveling with faith groups which is indicated by Jupiter; but not by Jupiter in 3rd house: when he’s ruling over the 3rd and 12th. He is not a force for good in this position. But this Jupiter is actually in King’s ascendant with a 9th house rulership so it’s actually this ascendant which is in the 3rd house from the Moon so the reading becoming this preacher man travelling around blowing peoples minds. In this case it’s this very powerful personality which is being communicated. From a shamanic point of view we could say he was chopping off heads, discombobulating people with his sermon.

Jupiter in Bharani 3rd House

Many inspirational, innovative commercial projects. Jupiter in 3rd house: Bharani can be hoarders with many pictures, writing, media and random things which may or may not have value. There may also be something spiritual or even unholy about the images they project through media. The ghostly colour images were first made by Lippmann. This can also be a placement where one’s wealth is quite literally buried in the backyard.

Ayn Rand (1905 – 1982): Her domestic life was greatly disturbed by her ideology. She also taught and wrote about the ideology of individual empowerment that ignores the deeper meaning we derive from the connectivity of all things. She was one of the first woman to go to University when they opened up to woman in Russia.

Phala Deepika Jupiter in 5th house: “Suffers at the hands of his sons; he is intelligent and an advisor to rulers.”

Jataka Bharnam Jupiter in 5th house: “Enjoys the happiness of a good son and a good friend. The person has knowledge of mantras (spells and charms), is soft spoken and has much wealth and conveyances. This person is an epicurean, believing pleasure to be the greatest good of life. He makes good use of intelligence and logic and may gain wealth from investments, trading shares, speculation, lottery or gambling. But if this Jupiter is poorly placed with malefic influence there will be loss of son.”

B.V. Raman Jupiter in the 5th house: “Learned in logic and law, mantra sastra; highly intelligent; preceptor or adviser to the king and great discriminating power. He will have good friends and vehicles and decorous manners. A number of children; god-fearing; happy with children and friends.”

BPHS 1st lord in the 5th house: “The native will have mediocre happiness though sons, the first born is not likely to live, he will be honourable, wrathful and a favourite of the king. Difficulty with first born is generally true if in the case of debilitation and may prove true for other ascendants if there is additional affliction; Sagittarius and Pisces ascendants will be particularly sensitive to affliction since Jupiter is said to be the destroyer of the effects of the house occupied by him.”

B.V. Raman 1st lord in the 5th house: “The first child does not survive, not much happiness from children, short-tempered, subservient and serving others. If fortified, he will be in the good graces of rules or powerful political parties and likely be absorbed into trade of diplomatic service. He will propitiate deities consistent with indications of the 5th lord.”

Charlemagne:

King George III of England:

Jupiter in Aries 6th house

Ashwini – Bharani – Krittika
The Classics – Jupiter in Aries 6th house
Rules the 2nd & 5th houses for Scorpio ascendant.

Phala Deepika Jupiter in 6th house: “The person is indolent and disrespected, but destroys his enemies and is clever with mantras (charms & spells). May develop consumption.”

Jataka Bharnam Jupiter in 6th house: “Gives a love for music and a desire for fame and glory. The person will be victorious over enemies, but will be lazy in completing tasks once they are started. The person is full of pride and will show favour to his own caste. If this Jupiter is well-placed with favourable aspects the person will benefit from faithful servants. If this Jupiter is poorly placed the person will suffer liver disorders and ulcers etc.”

B.V. Raman Jupiter in the 6th house: “Inactive, suffers disrespect, indulges in black magic, feared by enemies, unlucky, dyspeptic; health is generally good. If afflicted, health suffers from overindulgence.”

BPHS 2nd lord in the 6th house: “If conjunct a benefic the native will earn wealth from his enemies. If with a malefic he will have losses through his enemies and be weak thighed. For Aries ascendant, debilitated Venus will bring loss of wealth, clashes with family, weakness to wives health, depression in her, conflict in marital relations, loss of family wealth, loss though partner and friends, and deterioration of sexual energy. For Gemini Ascendant there will be loss of wealth. The native will see a rise & fall of wealth at an early age. Exalted Jupiter here will bring much paternal wealth, but as he ages he will spend most of it. For other ascendants the general effects are: 1. Theft of money, 2. Loss of valuables like jewellery, 3. Litigation over paternal property, 4. Money lent out is not returned, 5. Obstruction of incoming wealth, 6. Disease of the nose, face or teeth, 7. Fear of water for the spouse and fear of her collapse during a journey or something.”

B.V. Raman 2nd lord in the 6th house: “Income and expenditure from enemies. He will suffer from defects or diseases in the anus or thighs. Amassing of wealth by black-marketing, dissent, dissimulation and by causing misunderstandings and troubles between friends and relatives and through questionable and suspicious dealings can be anticipated if 2nd lord conjoins 6th lord and is well-fortified. If afflicted he will be involved in troubles and sentenced for such crimes as breach of trust, forgeries and perjuries.”

BPHS 5th lord in the 6th house: “The natives sons will be equal to his enemies, or [he] will die, or the native will acquire a son by adoption or purchase. Obstacles to producing a son may be the result of some disease. If there is additional malefic influence here the native will have no issues, and if a child is born it will not live for long. For Leo ascendant this effect is felt in a particularly cruel way.”

B.V. Raman 5th lord in the 6th house: “If favourably disposed, one’s maternal uncle will be a famous man. The native will have enmity with his own sons. If afflicted no children will be born and he may have to adopt from is uncles line.”

Jupiter in Aries 7th house

Ashwini – Bharani – Krittika
The Classics – Jupiter in Aries 7th house
Rules the 3rd & 6th houses for Libra ascendant.

Phala Deepika Jupiter in 7th house: “Gives good wife and sons. He is amiable and more generous than his father.”

Jataka Bharnam Jupiter in 7th house: “Makes the natives mind joyfully engaged in reading the Shastras. He is by nature courteous, very happy through wife and wealth, an excellent advisor, and good poet. This native earns a high income, gets success in their hopes, and has a great personality. He enjoys physical and bodily health, and gets cooperation from their younger brother and other partners. This is considered very favourable for achieving grandeur, majesty and prosperity.”

B.V. Raman Jupiter in the 7th house: “Diplomatic and kind hearted, the native gets a virtuous, good looking and chaste wife. He will get a good education and gain through marriage. He will be sensitive to the feelings of others. He has a speculative mind and is a good agriculturist. He undertakes pilgrimages to distant places and is superior to his father in his qualities. The native will possess good sons.”

Chamatkar Chintamani Jupiter in the 7th house: “The native is sharp, his personality and status are outstanding. He has less attraction towards women folk; no fondness for them. Superior to his own brothers and sisters, he is most charming but proud. He will attain very high status in life. Gain from government and fruitful powers of discrimination. He will be more skilful than his father. He will be handsome, cultured, intelligent, modest, large-hearted, polite, eloquent, a poet, wise and reputed. He’ll have sincere friends and an affectionate wife.he will be fond of literature but averse to father and preceptor. If debilitated, the wife dies. Will have an intimate connection with Brahmin women. The native will be worried about his sons. One wife, if Jupiter or Mercury are in the 7th house. The native is rational, a victor, and gets pleasure from fair-complexioned women, prosperous, matchless in wisdom, rich and a commander. He will get a good and faithful partner making life happy and prosperous. Promotes social and financial status after marriage. The native becomes a sharer in the independent means of the partner. Indicates marriage to a widow, a divorce, someone older and more pious than the native. If afflicted by Mars it will involve him in lawsuit or litigation. If afflicted by Saturn marriage is delayed. If afflicted by the luminaries marriage will be denied. If well aspected, success in partnership, through cooperation with friends and business people; gain through legal affairs. This Jupiter is weak in Virgo or Capricorn. Good fortune if this Jupiter is lord of 2nd or 5th houses: he will be worried, but highly educated. If 7th lord is debilitated, or if Jupiter is afflicted by natural malefics, the native will enjoy someone else’s wife. If the 7th lord is with benefic influence and Jupiter is in Cancer, Sagittarius, or Pisces the native will have only one wife and plenty of happiness through her; reputation in the 34th year. Jupiter gives fortunate results in masculine signs. If in Aries, Gemini, Leo or Sagittarius he will have good education and will be a teacher, professor, lawyer, barrister, or even Chief Justice; it’s also good for service in the education department. If In Gemini, Leo, Aquarius, the native is distressed for want of male child; he is barren or they fail to survive. If in Taurus, Virgo, Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces there will be strife with partners and the wife will leave. If in Libra or Capricorn there will be more than one marriage. Jupiter in feminine signs inclines towards business. If in masculine signs there is little attachment to wife, a debauchee by mind, speech and deed; considers women inferior to animals. If in a feminine sign he loves wife and child and is considerate to women. If in masculine signs he loves other women, if in feminine signs he hates them. If in Cancer, he gets a noble and obedient wife.”

BPHS 3rd lord in the 7th house: “The native will have aptitude for serving the king, he will not be happy during childhood but there can be no doubt that he will get happiness in the end.”

B.V. Raman 3rd lord in the 7th house: “May experience displeasure of the rulers and authority. Many vicissitudes in life. Much suffering in childhood. The union will be unfortunate. Danger while travelling. If well-fortified there will be cordial feeling between brothers. When the 7th lord is in lagna one of the brothers will settle in a foreign country and will help the native.”

BPHS 6th lord in the 7th house: “The native will be devoid of happiness through wedlock, but will be famous, virtuous, honourable, adventurous and wealthy. Three will be constant tension, quarrelling and fighting with partners and married life can be hell. For Aries and Libra ascendant it is errors of the native himself that cause disharmony as he may deliberately stir up trouble due to the effort of 3rd lord.”

B.V. Raman 6th lord in the 7th house: “Generally marries mother’s brother or father’s sister’s daughter. The maternal uncle lives in a far-off place or foreign country. Wife’s character will be doubtful. If afflicted they will either divorce early or the wife will die. If involved with hermaphrodite Rashi here or in navamsha he will have a sickly or barren wife. When lagandhipati conjoins in a hermaphrodite sign the native will be a eunuch unable to perform the sexual act. There will also be trouble with disrespectful women.”

They remain hopeful that sex will bring great transformation. Women in particular are prone to secret husbands and hidden alliances because this is Jupiter, but both genders gain and loose partnerships quickly. Just as Saturn likely reduces serotonin and oxytocin; it’s likely that this Jupiter raises these levels; in this case, from sex, disaster, bondage, pleasure, fear, anticipation.

Their home might change often and could literally be an underground safe house, but there is usually wealth possibly a secret trust fund which sustains them. They usually have multiple passports, a home abroad. They can be very good at managing hidden assets. There is, of course, something almost gangsterism about these people and their faith in god is similar.

In some ways they can be teachers who show others the way to revolution, transformation, death, the mother may die early or be a very sexual figure herself. Hidden alliances are common; they could be traitors to their nation. They might have a kind modern, contemporary religious style.

All Virgo natives risk death from problems with the head and brain: Jupiter will bring kapha and grows increasing the risk of clotting of swelling; if Mars aspects from first this would increase the likelihood of head trauma accident. But death will be fairly pleasant, hopeful, optimistic. “Thank god it’s over.”

— From Moon ————————

Jupiter in Aries 9th house

Ashwini – Bharani – Krittika
The Classics – Jupiter in Aries 9th house
Rules the 5th & 8th houses for Leo ascendant.

Phala Deepika Jupiter in 9th house: “Allows one to rise to be a famous minister endowed with wealth and children and is anxious to perform noble deeds.”

Jataka Bharnam Jupiter in 9th house: “The native becomes a minister to the king, does many auspicious deeds, has knowledge of the stars, is learned, follows rules and is devoted to Brahmins. A well-placed Jupiter with benefic influence makes the native well cultured, courteous, polite, a benefactor to others, leads a pious religious life, enjoy showing reverence to wise men, is modest in behaviour, interested in performing yagna, completes penance, and attains a position of distinction among a friendly circle. The person is sincere, pure, transparent without any character flaws.”

B.V. Raman Jupiter in the 9th house: “The native will be an exponent of law or philosophy. If aspired by benefic planets he will acquire much immovable property. He will be fond of his brothers. If Moon or Mars have influence he will become a great military learned or commander. If Sun or Venus join Jupiter here he will become characterless. Beneficially aspected by Saturn make the native live a life of austerity and strive for divine communion. He may visit foreign lands as a lecturer or preacher, etc. He will be conservative and principled.”

Chamatkar Chintamani Jupiter in the 9th house: “The native has a four-storied house painted red yellow and green. Enjoys royal favour, revers brahmins, has brothers, relatives are submissive, he follows evening prayers regularly with full concentration, observe fasts, performs sacrifice, but deeply arrogant and does little penance. State support, an aesthetic, virtuous, learned; knowledge of all sciences, minister in the royal court. He is famous, contented, holy pilgrim, theologian, rich and blessed with sons. The ideal man, wealthy like a king, devoted to his family, tradition and culture, wise, prosperous, popular with women, straight dealing. He will have wealth from all sources and opulence like a king. The native visits sacred places. He is happy, skilled, reputed, promoter of family cause, life-long prosperity. If in good aspect with Sun, Moon or Mercury it is ideal for philosophers and saints; the native will have a well developed higher mind, prophetic ability and dreams. Good for travel and living abroad; also for clerical, legal, philanthropic and pious affairs.

“If afflicted, this Jupiter turns petty and devotion into metaphysical learning, affliction from mars will make him a fanatic, gets legal problems, and accidents. Affliction from Saturn develops over confidence and thoughtlessness. This Jupiter is favourable in Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Pisces; he gets the highest education and the highest status for his education. By temperament he is quiet; by character he is sound. In Taurus, Virgo or Capricorn the native studies science and gains success teaching in College or University; in business he will be narrow-minded and selfish. If in Gemini, Libra or Aquarius the native becomes a publisher, editor or printer. If in Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces he will be a lawyer, barrister, law professor, or senior judge. In masculine signs is not good for siblings. In feminine signs there will be many brothers; rivals. Trouble from sons. Maraka for both parents.”

BPHS 5th lord in the 9th house: “The native will be a prince, an illustrious author and illustrious in his own family. Confers the native with learning, fame, wealth and honour. The natives sons are given the honour of princes. Debilitated planets here will not give these results.”

B.V. Raman 5th lord in the 9th house: “He will become a teacher or a preceptor. Renovates ancient temples, wells, choultries and gardens. One of the sons attains distinction as an orator or author. If the lord is afflicted he will earn divine wrath and consequent destruction of fortune.”

BPHS 8th lord in the 9th house: “The native will be a betrayer of his religion and a heterodox. He will be the husband of a wicked wife and will steal the wealth of others. As belief in his own religion is destroyed he comes to believe in gods of a lower order: ghosts, pishacha, jinx, etc. Once morality is lost it can be easy to steal from others. If Jupiter is debilitated the affliction against religion will be especial strong: atheist, heterodox despite being born from a brahmin or religious family. He will eat prohibited substances.” (The 5M’s are traditionally prohibited: 1. Meat, 2. Fish, 3. Wine, 4. Parched grain 5. Sexual intercourse)

B.V. Raman 8th lord in the 9th house: “If conjunct the 9th lord with malefic the native may lose the paternal property and miSunderstanding with father will arise. If the Sun is also afflicted the father may die in periods of the 9th lord. If conjoined by benefics the native acquires father’s property and relations with him will be harmonious. If the 9th lord is weak, the native suffers all kinds of hardships, misery and unhappiness. His friends and kinsmen will desert him while his superiors will find fault with him. If the 8th lord falls in the 6th, 8th or 12th navamsha the evil results will be greatly reduced.”

Celebrated world travellers, freedom-lovers, who are transformed by religion, philosophy or ideology. They celebrate all the religious festivals. And become champions of their faith and may be gurus of secret wisdom. They might have been shocked by some behaviour of their father, but they will keep the secret. They are freedom lovers when it comes to faith and will take some heterodox path. They will undermine the power of orthodoxy, the university, the church in some ways. They can lack of faith in faith based institutions and policy makers. It’s possible that some kind of initiation will be needed in their faith and they are often empowered to give such initiation. They bring a lot of their own personality and individuality to their faith but they ultimately know that all gods are one. They might be secretive about their guru or patrons. They are celebrants of open borders Lots of guru figures and father figures in their life. Women might have relationships with professors

Ayn Rand: She believed in reason as the only means of acquiring knowledge. She supported “ethical egoism” rather than altruism. She believed strongly in individual rights and rejected the initiation of force, though force for self defence is completely different. She essentially tried to do what Pope Leo XIII was doing: reconcile classical ethics with the modern world. But both the classical and modern world get distorted to a certain degree because we cannot apply universal principles to specific circumstances. They are often dismissed as idealists, somewhat unrealistic in the belief that a belief can change the world. If we could get everyone on the same page with their beliefs this would be fine, but it’s the nature of beliefs that they will be different for everyone.

But generally this Jupiter brings good luck, faith and optimism. They respect their gurus and professors and may enter into teacher student relationships, healing relationships, muse relationships. It should be noted that Ayn Rands is not a good example of how to conduct ourselves in relationships.

Pranaal Baba left home at age 18 with nothing but a sheet wrapped around his waist. No money, not even shoes. He spent the next several years wandering all parts of India. He eventually took shoes and clothes, but never carried money, never accepted money and if he had to accept money, and a wander saint often does, he would give it away immediately afterwards.

Though many of these people follow some religion and profess a faith, there ultimately do their own thing, they are not bound by mans laws, by scripture by canon. We are free to interpret these things how we like, This frees them to the point where they might have some kind of special faith healing ability, They will at leat believe in this kind of thing. And who are we to judge. In Ashwini the judge has no solid ground to stand on. It’s all new president in Ashwini. This can also suggest an acceptance of alternative lifestyles. A certain level of cultural relativity can make their beliefs ultimately meaningless; but they will be served well by them.

They usually have a very fast paced job, and work may come and go. They will like to be very independent and they do not work well for others; which they can do so long as they have their independence. In modern times they often have some involvement with NGOs. Classically this is the wise leader who is a servant to the people. They will often mix dogma or ideology with any help they give to the poor. They are likely to face a lot of criticism for their leadership roles (perhaps from members of their own religious due to jealousy for their freedom), but this is also where they will tap into they spiritual purpose. They offer very effective leadership to the disadvantaged; but they maintain their own freedom in doing so. Leader of servants.

From Moon they are especially prone to take leadership in service roles. They are quick and good helpers, servants. They may take on a lot of duties in their work place often taking jobs that allow them a certain amount of freedom.

Their career makes they a kind of gate-keeper. There will be fights and perhaps even litigation regarding leadership positions. Most of these people are big and have had periods of being drunk and mean. They might also provide services and advice for leaders later in life. They can also get involved in interventions to help get others out the whole of addiction. They are fortunate; this Jupiter usually brings a net benefit.

The over-expansion of initiative can cause them to be a little scattered. They can become known for renovations, renewal, refreshing of the spirit, a second wind of faith and becoming born again and again and again. They will eventually follow many different life philosophies, religions, spiritual paths; but nothing will seem to stick. Nonetheless they become known for a kind of heroism. This position of Jupiter is not good for the father figure and these natives do not have anyone to ever show them the good path easy in life. They wander al lot, they don’t have much sense of direction so they end up cobbling together a bunch of mystic traditions together and make their own thing. But this can be a very personal path, very permissive, abundant pilgrimage, travel, privacy and secrets. Sex, death and every kind of taboo is happening just behind the scene. Alejandro Jodorowsky’s film, “Holy Mountain” pretty much says it all: beautiful and sublime in its spiritual message, but some people can’t get past the first 20 minutes. The film has been banned in some countries and production disputes have seriously limited the availability of this movie, it certainly couldn’t be made again today without breaking several laws and public sentiments.
